(Front Street Japan vs BBU Independent)
(15-4-1, 14 KO vs 5-5, 5 KO)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: There's no reason to believe former lightweight champion Sayuki Matsumoto can't make another run at the straps anyone soon as Front Street Japan owner Ayako Hamada brings her most decorated member to fight on the prestigious Boxing Day PPV while also trying to hand Jessica Michibata her fifth straight defeat in the process. Michibata refused to join the FSJ stable after getting cut by the Girls Friday and this decision might still come back to haunt her as Matsumoto wants to prove she's the best 130 lbs fighter in the country!

Sayuki Matsumoto wears a light blue bikini set & black gloves. Long dark brown hair with bangs straight. Jessica Michibata wears a black bikini set & pink gloves. Long dark brown hair with blonde dye tied in a curled ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Both women channel the Japanese pride early in the going but Jessica wants to desperately avoid another round one disaster (hi, Rochelle) and tackles the former champion downstairs which gives her the quick success as she thumps into Sayuki's ribcage and sends her reeling upon impact. The high-octane production allows Jessica to get even more aggressive down the stretch as Matsumoto struggles to make her overhand response count and cuts thin air while the fellow model blasts her into the body. Sayuki has to yield real estate but she quickly adjusts her stance and tries to lure Michibata into a trap while the former Girl Friday doesn't fully cash in on her advantage during the second minute pounce. She lands a solid cross hook on the eye but this only triggers a head-hunting dispute which allows Matsumoto to stretch her elbows before she clocks her compatriot on the jaw and leaves Jessica wobbly at the bell.

Round 2:
Another quick pounce from Jessica enables her to stick her mitts into Matsumoto's midsection but a thumping left hook on the jaw drops her back and the former champ steps up to rattle the exposed head as Michibata is simply too slow to react. She slumps onto her heels once Sayuki begins to land her shots from both flanks and sinks into spasms when she gets pummelled on the tummy as Matsumoto unloads the premium onslaught. Ugh! Jessica struggles to embrace the swarming tempo and bends to the side while Sayuki blasts her on the jaw repeatedly and sends reeling onto the ropes come the two minute mark. Jessica tries to spin away from danger but Sayuki traps her with a nasty left hook on the nose that tears a small bloody patch before another tummy assault leaves her gasping for air come the bell. Uh-oh! Michibata looks very hittable here and one can only wonder if she can sustain the intended slugging drill before it gets ugly?

Round 3:
It gets ugly for Jessica fast in the third as she misses her head-hunting approach and gets blitzed with another booming double on the nose that drops her on the heels on the spot. She tries to swing back at the charging foe but Sayuki beats her to the punch and SMOKES her with jaw-breaker that spins her to the side with a loud whimper. She can't raise her arms fast enough and Matsumoto NAILS her with another brutal punch on the nose that sends Michibata CRASHING DOWN ON HER BACK!!! And that was a huge punch indeed as Jessica rolls to her left side and mumbles something in Japanese before making a sluggish recovery onto her feet. She's almost there at seven but wobbles onto all fours and uh-oh, that's one rattled Asian vixen about to suffer a painful defeat right there! Jessica can't beat the count so it's KO3 Sayuki Matsumoto!!!

AFTER: Sayuki remains as dangerous as ever and it's no wonder these lightweights are unwilling to challenge her into a fight lately! Jessica's losing streak is one thing but Sayuki's menacing punch is something else as she shouts at the kneeling opponent while her stablemates Mikie Hara and Harumi Nemoto join the party and drag Jessica off the ring. Ayako Hamada tells Georgie Thompson "things will be handled our way" but it seems like poor Jessica won't be let off the hook by any means and the plan is too explicit to be revealed right now! Well, the BBU fans might be disappointed over the lack of details but we've got more Boxing Day action to come to stay tuned! We'll be back right after these commercials.

Official Result: Sayuki Matsumoto def. Jessica Michibata KO3.
