Intro:
Now we have two top bantamweights duking it out, both London born fighters so plenty of pride here as Daisy Ridley and Fleur East lace up the boots, step into the ring to settle whose the better fighter.

Over the past year both women have had an interesting time, Daisy entered 2020 the BBU bantamweight champion, she lost it to Alice Eve though and seemed to have a crisis of confidence, after beating Rosie Jones on Boxing Day, has her confidence come back?

Daisy spoke to the BBU TV host Denise Van Outen on the set of her show about this fight, telling the beautiful blonde "I feel great after that win, Rosie really gave me a good fight as I expected, to beat her showed me as much as anyone that the title form I had is still there, it's just about keeping myself focused on the task at hand" smiling as she looks in a great mood.

Asked about this fight, Daisy admits "Fleur is physically very impressive, honestly in all the BBU she might have the best body of us all, I am not expecting this to be an easy fight either, in fact my manager told me they had locked her because they know she will push me out my comfort zone" Denise nodding in agreement with the statement.

"But I know I can beat her, I trust my skills along with my hand speed will keep her off me, I'll need to be at my best to do this, I am so ready for this" the stunning actress almost sounding like she is psyching herself up for the task of fighting such a strong fighter.

For Fleur last year wasn't a bad one in terms of her former, winning two of the three fights she was in, her biggest issue though was getting cut by her stable, with the rumour being they were worried she wouldn't ever make the leap up from contender to real elite fighter.

Something she refutes as she talks to Denise on the set, telling her "look I have been told so many times you are good but not great by pundits and even some coaches, my record shows I've only lost twice for God's sake, one to Olympia Valance and the other was against Lea Seydoux, neither overawed me in the ring" not a great subject for her judging by the look of anger on her face as she speaks.

The subject quickly turns to this fight, Fleur says "Daisy is a good fighter, nothing special in my eyes though, so it is annoying that she has been a champion, I mean compare us Denise, I am physically stronger then her, better cardio and I pack a real punch, Daisy is fast I admit but once you catch a cat by it's tail, then you see how it survives in a scrap" clenching her fists as she looks to be itching to use them on Daisy.

Finishing her statement by telling Denise "once I beat up Daisy, I want to be mentioned in that title hunt, Charlotte (Church) can't deal with me, her power is based on her weight, mine is based on hard work, now is my time to be a champion" standing up with a hard look on her face, the singer strides off the side as Denise looks impressed by the fire shown by East.

Fight night, out first comes Daisy with her coach Jennifer O'Dell, she is looking relaxed as she heads down the BBU Arena aisle wearing a blue robe, one she takes off at the ring steps to reveal a blue sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and gloves, her hair is tied into a ponytail.

Stepping through the ropes into the ring, Daisy bows to each side of the ring to show her respect to the fans, then heads off to her corner to get ready for the contest by stretching as Jennifer reminds her to keep on the move, wear Fleur down till she is ready to go.

Now out comes Fleur with her coach behind her, she is wearing a red robe as she marches down the aisle, thudding her red gloves together as her eyes are locked square onto the ring, the robe comes off soon enough to reveal that all her gear is red, her hair is tied into a braid.

Climbing into the ring, Fleur tests out the ropes against her back, ignoring Daisy as she passes her corner, before settling into her own corner, her coach telling her to stick inside the range of Daisy, bully her and she will wilt is the message.

Waved to the center of the ring by the referee, who tells them to keep it clean as they lock eyes in a cold stare, neither blinks as they bounce on their toes to keep limber, fists clenched in their gloves.

Told to touch their gloves with their opponent, Fleur seems to hammer hers into the more respectful Daisy, jogging to their corners with them on their toes, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
As the fight kicks off the differences in styles is on show early, Daisy trying to stick and move as she works behind her piston like jab, Fleur looking to close the gap as she hunts down Daisy, throwing more to the body of the younger fighter with straights.

The first big punch comes from Fleur as she parries a jab aside to step inside with a left to the body, the follow up uppercut doesn't land flush, it does give a warning to Ridley not to take Fleur lightly in there.

Moving on her toes around the ring with more crisp combos flying to try to ward off Fleur, Daisy looking good in her movements, she can't seem to shake Fleur off so easily though as the powerhouse fighter lands some stiff punches into the face of the white woman.

Knocking a straight aside, Fleur digs a right into the abs of Daisy, an overhand left follows onto the side of the actresses head as now East has her opening, banging back Daisy to the ropes with a good body punching drill straight out the gym that has Ridley groaning out.

Trying to cover up as the round enters it's final thirty seconds, Daisy is getting hit to her ribs with hooks as Fleur looks in her element, Daisy needing to clinch as the bell rings, it looks like that round slipped through her fingers after such a strong start.

Round 2:
Maybe Daisy is fully realising what power she is up against, she is feinting more along with throwing two to three punches at a time now, trying hard to keep Fleur onto the outside so she doesn't need to experience the body beating she took again.

Fleur nearly catches her with an overhand right that just misses, Daisy landing a double jab into the face of the black woman to give her some more confidence, her movement looks to be starting to give East some more issues.

As Fleur can't seem to pin down Daisy as easily, she is being forced to throw more combos herself, Daisy though has the hand speed advantage it seems, landing more punches in the exchanges before she moves out the way when Fleur loads up a big hook.

With less then a minute to go, Fleur finally catches Daisy out with a left cross to her cheek, a straight follows into the mouth of Ridley to push her back, on comes the singer now as she works to press Daisy towards a corner.

Smartly Daisy holds onto Fleur, still she finds herself pressed into the corner by the raw strength of Fleur, Jennifer even looks impressed by the power of Fleur and she isn't her fighter, referee needing to split them apart so they can resume.

At the bell Daisy returns to her corner looking a little worried, Jennifer reminding her that was a much better round for her, Fleur meanwhile sits on her stool looking to be stewing somewhat, after a good start she was kept at range for too long to be effective.

Round 3:
Daisy showing why she is elite level with her jab along with her footwork looking beautiful, cutting the bottom lip of Fleur early in the round with a triple jab that slams perfectly on target to make Fleur look more upset.

Moving her head more to help her close the gap, slowly Fleur is making up ground as she drills in some hard punches through the mitts of Daisy to her face, getting in closer as the first minute passes by.

A left cross catches Fleur on her cheek along with a straight to push her back a step, Daisy showing a little of her own power to get the respect of her opponent, she starts planting her feet a little more to try to hurt East.

But a missed right cross leaves Daisy open to an uppercut that knocks her onto her heels, Fleur drives her to the ropes with three clean punches to her face, then when the cover goes up top the singer switches to the body with more of those thudding hooks.

Needing one again to hold onto Fleur to stop her getting her rhythm going, Daisy finds the head of Fleur under her chin as Fleur wants to make this as uncomfortable for the actress as she can, broken apart not long after with Fleur warned to watch her head.

The round comes to a close with Fleur staring at the canvas angrily, her coach telling her to keep her cool as they talk tactics, Jennifer checking over Daisy, who looks more keen to get stuck in now she knows she can give Fleur a dig that seems to ward off the toned fighter.

Round 4:
Looking to cut off the ring quickly, Fleur is doing a good job as Daisy is being forced into more midrange exchanges, feet being planted more off both fighters as cheeks take the brunt of attacks.

A left hook to the body of Daisy is followed by an overhand right to the side of her head, as sweat flies off Daisy finds herself being knocked back onto the ropes by the hard hitting East.

Who is really swinging in those hooks to the body, Daisy is grimacing as her sides are slowly reddening up, needing to shove Fleur to get off the ropes, Daisy manages to catch an overambitious Fleur coming in with a perfectly timed one-two combo into those bloody lips.

Ridley starts to get some of her rhythm back half way through the round, trying her best to keep off the ropes along with targeting those cut lips, Fleur is being forced to tighten her guard up as she hunts down the younger fighter.

Less then a minute to go, Fleur lands an overhand right to turn Daisy's head to the side, a left hook to the body has Daisy again groaning out as Fleur seems to be wearing her down, getting Daisy cornered against the turnbuckles of her own corner as Jennifer gets to hear the thuds of Fleur's gloves on her fighters body.

At the bell Jennifer is quick on the apron to stare hard at Fleur as she puts her hands on the shoulders of Daisy to massage them, Fleur stares right back till she decides to return to her own corner.

Fleur needing her lips patched up again as her coach praises her work, Daisy meanwhile has ice packs on her body, she is breathing a little harder as Jennifer tells her not to even think about giving up, Fleur is there to be had she feels.

Round 5:
Continuing to stalk after Ridley, East is laying more leather on the less mobile Daisy now, making Daisy need to exchange more at the center of the ring as the crowd cheer the fighters on to greater violence.

Dipping under a left cross, Daisy lands a left/right hook combo under the ribs of her opponent, giving her a little taste of her medicine as she drills away at the chiseled abs of Fleur, till a left cross to the top of her head makes her retreat.

Back comes Fleur as the round feels a little see saw like, Fleur knocking Daisy back to the ropes, getting clinched more quickly as Daisy doesn't want her body to be ripped apart again by the merciless fists of her opponent.

When they are separated Daisy is quick off the mark with a one-two punch into the face of East, who misses with a right cross as Daisy steps back before stepping inside with an uppercut that knocks back Fleur's head now.

To the ropes goes Fleur as Daisy lands five rapid fire punches square into her face, Fleur for the first time hangs onto Ridley as Jennifer is yelling at Daisy to keep hurting her opponent, referee needed once again to get the action going again.

On comes Fleur as they let their hands go in a grandstand finish to the round, sweat with some blood goes flying when they are hit, at the bell they hold back but look like they want to keep going, referee pleased to watch them return to their corners without any further incident, instead both happy to take on fluids and get patched up.

Round 6:
Sticking on the front foot, Fleur is starting to get picked off more by the sniper like accuracy of Daisy's straights, the guard is opening on the singer as she tries to close the distance between them.

Missing with an overhand right, Fleur eats an uppercut on the chin, her legs shake a little, with Daisy pounding in four clean punches to her face as back goes East onto the ropes, STEPPING BACK OUT THE WAY OF A DESPERATE LOOKING LEFT CROSS, DAISY CRACKS FLEUR CHIN ON THE CHIN WITH ANOTHER UPPERCUT, DOWN GOES EAST FLAT ON HER FACE!

Jennifer goes wild as she jumps up and down outside the ring, Daisy raising her right glove to Jennifer as she heads to the neutral corner, 1...2...3...4.. Fleur can be heard groaning, 5...6...7.. But still she is flat on her face not moving, 8...9...10 where she stays as she is counted out!

Winner Daisy Ridley KO Round 6

After:
A big win for Daisy, one she might be feeling the rest of the week as she doesn't celebrate much, just raising her right fist up with a big smile on her face as she looks at the still downed Fleur being checked on by the referee.

Smelling salts are used to bring around Fleur, who is helped up onto her stool, blinking as she wonders where the hell Daisy found that punch from, Fleur almost disbelieving as she chats to her coach that it ended up this way.

Daisy shows her class by going to check on Fleur, who nods her respect to Daisy but doesn't engage much more, the winner not pushing it as she nods back before returning to her own corner.

Where Jennifer is quick to give her a pat on the back, joking "I'd hug you but I don't want you groaning" laughing as Daisy just smiles back, more happy when the ice packs are on her body again to give her relief from Fleur's body beating damage she took.

When Fleur is OK to stand she is up to a round of applause from the crowd, she looks a little wobbly still but soldiers on to the ring center for the final result to be announced, Daisy getting her right hand raised to screams and cheers from her fans.

Leaving the ring with help, Fleur has to go back to her locker room licking her wounds tonight, she looked to have Daisy under control through parts of this fight, she just couldn't do it long enough to get the win she craved tonight, no reason though not to expect Fleur back on top form sooner then later.

While the winner poses for photos with her fists raised and a big beaming smile, Daisy proud of herself for being able to do enough to beat a truly hard hitting fighter, Jennifer also looks proud of her fighter, she threw her in the deep end and Daisy seems to have come out of it all the better.

Gingerly Daisy steps out the ring, still sore as she heads up the aisle, waving to the fans with her right hand as her left holds an ice pack to her body, she has earned a rest this week and an ice bath, if Daisy keeps this form up it might not be long till she earns another title match to try to reclaim the belt.
