BEFORE: Two undefeated contenders are ready to revive the ancient France vs Germany rivalry and Elodie Yung is confident she doesn't need a rehearsal bout to take Sophia Thomalla down which is a very bold statement indeed. "The Bastille Day showdown versus Clara Morgane got cancelled due to COVID restrictions but I can't wait to dig my gloves into Sophia's face. She's got all the hype in the media but I'm gonna blow her up so badly Charlotte Church will have to grant me the next title defense. Yeah, I'm sooo ready for prime-time! Bring it on, bytch!"

Meanwhile the German actress feels bemused by Elodie's comments and warns her not to look ahead too far: "Thanks for reminding everyone how delusional these French people really are! I mean Elodie just turned 40 so maybe she's not thinking straight anymore. She beat Marion Cotillard and that's it. No way Charlotte Church even bothers to look at her as a genuine title contender. And it's about to get worse! I'm gonna crank up all the hype and simply rearrange her face tonight! That's a frickin' promise!"

Round 1:
Neither woman yields an inch in the early stages which leads into a hectic jabbing attack much to the crowd's delight. Elodie cracks a heavy right shot into the blonde's lips and follows through with more success that drops Sophia into coverage as the brunette assumes control and keeps piling more pressure straight up the middle. She shows no signs of rustiness whatsoever and snaps the blonde's head back & forth until Thomalla stuffs her with a piercing drive on the solar plexus just before the two-minute mark. Elodie refuses to back off though and reaches out with more aerial swings but Sophia displays supreme footwork and spins out of trouble before mounting a late rally to perhaps steal the round. She rattles Yung on each temple and drives another gut shot on target which forces the older actress to clinch her but most fans think Elodie has won the round outright.

Round 2:
Another blazing start allows Elodie to rattle the German from both flanks but Sophia responds in supreme fashion much faster than in the opening round. She lands a scything cross on the nose and thumps a brutal uppercut on the jaw to wobble the Frenchwoman onto her heels. Yung struggles to swing from the back foot and eats a crushing hook on the jaw with Sophia landing more cruel shots from point-blank range thereafter. She pummels the gusty brunette back to the ropes where she picks up more heat and bangs several jabs into Elodie's face until she wraps her into an earmuff cover. Ugh! Elodie weaves around on her feet but fails to escape the phone booth assault and barks in anger at the bell with Thomalla giving her a lenghty death stare.

Round 3:
Sophia slams a left/right combo on the brunette's nose and sends her into sudden retreat mode once she outworks her in another hectic close range dispute. Elodie tries to match the blonde's intensity but she simply gets beaten to the punch and develops a visible swelling around her lips come the second minute which only fuels Thomalla's head-hunting pursuit. Elodie remains glued to the spot as she soaks up more overhand punishment and her precision goes away whereas the German keeps landing her shots in bullseye fashion. It's no wonder Yung channels the retreat options soon afterwards but she simply can't escape the blonde's range and gets pummelled onto the ropes where more vicious shots split her high guard and leave Sophia bashing unanswered wrath come the final stretch. Ugh! Elodie cries out at the bell and there's another gash across her nasal ridge which makes the Eagles coach Gina Wild extremely happy during the interval: "Just bash her face into a pulp!"

Round 4:
Sophia got the slugging message but she hardly needed a reminder here anyway as she keeps blowing through Elodie's wilting high-guard and leaves the Frenchwoman clinching her into a stalemate rather than responding in proper fashion. Whatever... Sophia shakes off the brunette's efforts and drives another hook on the wounded nose that drops Yung into loud spasms... she rips a left cross on the jaw and bangs another uppercut before Elodie can lock her mitts together... and then it's too late! Thomalla smashes another uppercut on the chin which FLOORS YUNG in ultra-quick fashion!!! The French actress slumps to her knees with a loud whimper and rolls to her side as the blonde shakes her glove in visible delight. Uh-oh! Elodie must be fortunate not to suffer a structural damage but she's very slow to get up and only the slowish count saves her from immediate disaster. She's back upright at eight and Sophia retains that spark in her eye and rushes to complete the job! She pounds Elodie's face in relentless fashion as the guard simply isn't there to stop the beating so the brunette gets thumped onto the ropes where Thomalla adds more lumps on the hitherto swollen face... and Elodie checks out while still standing - her eyes turn hollow and the arms go numb which allows Sophia to SMOKE her with additional wrath on the exposed chin... one uppercut too many does the trick and DROPS YUNG FACE DOWN at the German's feet and everyone and their mother knows it's all frickin' over!!! KO4 Sophia Thomalla!!!

AFTER: Forget Elodie's title ambitions... they're wrecked beyond repair according to most pundits and fans alike... meanwhile Sophia just made another elite statement and BBU TV's Denise van Outen reckons Charlotte Church will have her hands full with the fearsome German sooner rather than later... just make sure former Lioness Club trainer Gina Wild plays this right when she argues her case!

Sophia won Rookie of the Year honors in 2020 and she's only getting better in BBU competition as her amateur kickboxing experience goes beyond fancy images on the social media accounts. This is one epic brawler whom nobody wants to fight anytime soon... unless you ask Vera Brezhneva or former champion Una Healy - both whom are ready to stick some response into the highly touted German's face! The plot thickens.
