Intro:
Now it is time for the last ever BBU fight for Alessandra Ambrosio, she will be retiring next month on her birthday, her stablemate Kelly Gale challenged her to this bout to prove herself against the Brazilian legend, we are in the BBU Arena in Cardiff for this contest.

This has been a fight brewing for a while if media reports are to be believed, with Kelly reportedly wanting more chances to step out the veterans shadow to become her own elite level fighter, this year seems to be where she finally could achieve that stardom with her making her FCBA debut against Nina Adgal recently.

For Alessandra this is about showing she deserved the top of the pecking order over Kelly, it is also about finishing her BBU career on a high after a bitter defeat to her rival Yvonne Strahovski, one where Kelly came out to save her from humiliation at the hands of the Aussie beauty.

Both meet up at a press conference for this fight set up at the Girls Friday gym, the stables PR manager Holly Willoughby acting as the host inside the ring as she welcomes the cameras and journalists into the gym.

First into the ring stepped Alessandra wearing a black dress and heels, looking regal as she walked slowly around the ring with a big smile and arms out at her sides, stopping in the red corner of the ring as Holly hands her a microphone.

Next through the ropes is the stunning Swedish model Kelly, wearing a blue dress with matching heels, she slips off her heels after she steps into the ring and leans into the blue corner, showing she isn't afraid to get into it with Alessandra, who slips her heels off too.

Holly waves to Alessandra to speak first, the Brazilian takes two steps our the corner with eyes firmly locked onto Kelly's, she says "I know this is important to you Kelly, to finally have a crack at me after the past few years of us sharing this stable, but I want the fans and these journalists to understand our relationship, when I was signed to this stable the manager Harry asked me who he should sign from the modelling world, you were one of the first I said because I knew you loved boxing, that you could be a champion someday" Kelly nods at Alessandra with a smile.

"I also know that when you get competitive women together no matter where you might start, sooner or later it will get to a point you need to settle our differences, you feel I have pushed you into my shadow when really I have achieved everything I put my mind too, you say that I should have stepped aside for you, honey you have to make me step aside, you earn that right as you know this stable will give you opportunities, if you don't take them then you can't complain" both women staring harder at each other as Kelly doesn't seem to agree with that.

Pointing at Alessandra as she replies "I know you helped me out when I got here, hell you used to spar with me the most of anyone, but let's cut some of the crap here, while you held the lightweight title here I never got a look in, all the thoughts of management was to give you the spotlight and I became an afterthought, so much so that you know I challenged you to fight me here in private, you wouldn't risk it then" Alessandra shaking her head as Holly watches closely seeing both her friends getting a little more riled up.

"Kelly I wasn't going to fight you then, especially just in our gym, I thought you were just angry and you'd understand, even when I lost the title I saw the looks you gave me, heard the remarks about my age behind my back, if not for Gisele (Bundchen) telling me to be the mature one honestly we wouldn't be boxing now, I'd have torn your hair out and left you outside the gym" Kelly's face turning red at that suggestion, Holly rushing to get between them as they move to come together.

"You arrogant bytch! This is why I want to fight you so badly! You look down on me, you won't be when I am not holding back on you!" Kelly screams as Alessandra waves her to bring it on, Holly nearly getting slapped by accident as both try to reach around to get at each other.

Finally Holly steps aside after getting clipped on her lips by a left slap from Kelly with both women rushing each other, hair gets yanked as they scream bloody murder, tripping up as they fall to the ground, years of building angry being released as they roll around, dresses slowly sliding down to waists as black bras show.

Finally Gisele and Taryn Terrell rush from the back to grab a hold of a fighter to pull them apart, Gisele holding Alessandra back as Taryn has Kelly, spitting and snarling like two fighting feral cats, Alessandra and Kelly certainly have everyone's attention that this isn't just to sell the fight, they really want at each other badly as they are dragged out the ring, Holly shaking her head as she checks on her swollen bottom lip.

Fight night, first through the curtain is Alessandra with Gisele beside her, the crowd cheer loudly as she walks down the aisle with a smile, waving to the fans as she heads to the ring, banners saying "we love you Alessandra" seem to be all over the arena.

Climbing into the ring, Alessandra is wearing a black sports bra with a gold "AA" badge on her left cup, black trunks with three thin gold stripes down the sides, matching shoes, black gloves with gold thumbs, her hair is tied into a ponytail as she steps into her corner, looking fully focused on this fight.

Out through the curtain now comes Kelly with Taryn beside her, she gets a mixed response, many not wanting Alessandra to lose tonight, Kelly looks purely focused on finally settling this with Alessandra, marching down the aisle with her gloves together in front of her toned abs, eyes lingering on the ring the entire walk.

She steps into the ring wearing a light blue sports bra with gold trim, matching trunks and shoes, her gloves are blue with gold thumbs, her hair is tied into a braid, shadow boxing with her eyes firmly on her opponent.

The referee brings the fighters to the center of the ring, where they square up chest to chest, nose to nose as the tension can be felt in the ring, crowd going a little more quiet as they watch intently this face off, neither fighter blinking as they stare right through each other.

When they are told to touch gloves, it is more a quick swipe then really showing respect, they jog back to their corners as the crowd roars, both raise their fists to show they are ready, the bell is rung to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
"Ding" out their corners they come to a loud roar, trading stiff single shots out their guards, Alessandra moves in quickly to test Kelly's abs out with a one-two combo, getting clipped around her brow with a right for her troubles as it is a fast start from both.

Which seems to suit Alessandra more, Kelly maybe tense with this being her biggest fight due to the occasion, the veteran is digging away to the body of Kelly when they move in close, just missing with an uppercut after an exchange as Gale gives up real estate.

Moving around near the ropes, Kelly finally starts putting more punches together, landing a double jab followed by a straight into her opponent's face, getting into her rhythm after a slow first half of the round.

But as they enter the last forty five seconds, Alessandra deflects a straight to pound in a right to the chest of Kelly, who cries out before a left smacks across her cheek, making the Swedish fighter need to cover up tight as Ambrosio comes on the hunt with a flurry of punches that don't land cleanly.

What they do is most likely win the round for Alessandra as she turns back to her stool, Kelly looking to the heavens ready to turn the night blue it seems with some curse words, instead she returns to her corner to be told to relax, this is just another fight.

Round 2:
Alessandra looks to press the action right away again, this time Kelly looks less tense, jabbing with more sting to her punches as she moves around Alessandra, Kelly is looking sharper now as she makes her opponent miss in the opening moments of the round.

Now it's Ambrosio knocked near the ropes, Kelly switching her targets nicely with her fast hands, Alessandra showing her power though to smack Kelly back a step with a straight up the middle, showing it isn't so easy to bully the legend as Gale probably hopes.

As they exchange around the ring, this is definitely going much better for Kelly, she is slipping out the way of some of Alessandra's more powerful punches then digging in a counter punch, even sneaking in some to the chest of her stablemate for the one she got in the last round.

Coming late into the round, Alessandra feints before catching Kelly with a right cross, she then presses her onto the ropes with a shove, when she goes to unload, smartly Kelly hangs onto her, forcing the referee to break them apart.

Exchanging more stiff jabs in the dying moments of the round, when the bell rings it is clearly one a piece as this was Kelly's round, she nods to Taryn as she returns to her corner as if to say thank you for the pep talk, Alessandra not looking worried in her own corner as she chats to Gisele.

Round 3:
There's a heated exchange early on as Alessandra looks to force the issue, Kelly landing more in volume but it's the harder hits coming from Alessandra as she seems to step into her punches more of the two.

It's not going to be an easy job for the Brazilian to close the gap the way she wants, swinging in a left cross that misses as Gale takes a step back, a double jab lands square into her face as Kelly gets back onto her bike.

Half the round has gone by with Kelly landing some flush punches square into the stunning face of Alessandra, who surprises the younger woman by dipping under a straight and basically bull rushing her to the ropes, where she fires in several short sharp digs just above the waistband of Kelly's trunks to make her hiss out.

Pushing back Alessandra, with less room to move in, now it's Kelly finding things tough, Alessandra showing off her own stiff jab as she knocks back the younger model into a neutral corner, where she can go back to work on the body, wanting to sap the energy of Gale.

At the bell Kelly stares hard at Alessandra, not seeming to like the punches around the waistband, Alessandra just ignores her as she returns to her corner, Gisele smiling as she hugs Alessandra before she sits on her stool.

Round 4:
Pressing the action again, Alessandra is growing in confidence as she bangs in more punches square to her opponent's gorgeous face, red marks appearing on both fighters faces, Kelly though has a mouse forming under her left eye.

Managing to catch Alessandra with a left cross as the Brazilian comes in to strike, Kelly maybe starting to time her aggressive opponent better, boxing more off the back foot as Alessandra keeps coming forwards.

As the first minute passes by, Alessandra finally cuts the ring off as she slams a right into the lips of Kelly, pressed into her own corner, Taryn is telling Kelly not to just cover up, Alessandra hammering hooks in to the body till Kelly pulls her into a clinch, referee breaking them up with Kelly moving into space.

Kelly throwing jabs as she moves around the outside of the ring, Alessandra stalking after her both throwing in hard punches through the others mitts, the crowd cheering them on.

Final moments in the round another right smacks Kelly into her face, she has to cover up tight as her back is on the ropes, Alessandra not showing any mercy to her stablemate, when the bell dings to end the round, Alessandra gives Kelly a cold stare before turning around, Kelly banging her gloves together in a sign of annoyance, Taryn needing to put a hand on her shoulder as she talks to her, giving her a pep talk.

Round 5:
Almost dancing out her corner as she feels on top of this, the crowd more firmly behind her, Alessandra looking to drive back Kelly early, missing with a left cross early as Kelly is on her toes moving around.

Alessandra stepping in close with a left to the body, a right hook catches her on the brow that opens a small gash, A LEFT HOOK THEN CATCHES ALESSANDRA ON HER CHIN AS SHE STUMBLES DOWN TO HER SIDE!

There's a mixed response in the crowd, Kelly pounding her chest with her right glove as she yells at Alessandra "stay down bytch!" 1...2...3.. Alessandra needing to turn to her front as she rubs her chin, 4...5...6.. Pushing up to her knees, she nods at Kelly, 7..8.. Getting up to her feet, Alessandra raises her fists to show she is ready to continue.

Back they go at it with Alessandra trying to fight back, Kelly though knocks her back with a left to the body followed by an overhand right to the side of the head, Alessandra getting knocked to the ropes as Kelly looks to end it.

Pulling Kelly into a clinch, Alessandra shakes her head to clear some cobwebs out, the referee needed to break them apart, with Kelly looking to keep at her opponent, the bell dings to stop her though, jogging back to the corner as she clenches her fists.

Gisele needing to patch up her friend, Alessandra admitting she got sloppy as she looks across the ring, maybe seeing a mirror image of herself when she first started in the sport, nodding as she tells Gisele it won't end like this.

Round 6:
Coming out their corners, Alessandra is trying to find her way back into this, early on Kelly pounds her with a left cross, Alessandra getting driven onto the ropes by another right across her face.

Again hanging onto Gale, Alessandra needing a chance to recover still it seems, Kelly desperate to break free so she can end this, instead the referee has to step in as they trip into a corner after wrestling along the ropes.

It's Kelly now the one going all aggressive, Alessandra is barely about to land anything as she is getting hit with some nasty looking punches, her cut above her left brow is bleeding a little more, making Gisele in her corner look worried as she covers her mouth.

Pushing back Alessandra into her own corner, Gisele gets to listen to the punches of Kelly slamming into the face of Ambrosio, with blood now running from the bottom lip of the legend as the referee is watching closely.

Alessandra throwing enough back it seems to at least keep the referee from stopping it, at the bell Alessandra sits down looking a mess as Gisele works hard, washing her down and patching her cuts up.

Across the ring Kelly takes a breath as she looks almost upset that the referee hasn't stopped it, Taryn telling her to keep her cool and go for the knockout.

Round 7:
Pushing out her corner, Alessandra is showing she isn't done yet as she steps in closer, happy to trade with Kelly, who is throwing in more power punches of her own, Alessandra needing to use her left shoulder to bump back the younger woman.

A right hook now opens a cut under Kelly's left eye, nobody can doubt these two stablemates are holding anything back, Kelly forced to take a step back as Alessandra now comes looking to hurt her, blood dripping onto both fighters breasts.

Landing a double jab to the face of Alessandra, Kelly getting her rhythm back after a scary start to the round, moving around the ring as she keeps Ambrosio on the outside, getting back to what worked so well.

Stepping in with a left to the body, Alessandra gets clipped around that cut over her eye, that makes her step back as Kelly comes on the front foot, striking several punches through the guard of Alessandra to knock her head back.

The round comes to an end with Alessandra wiping some blood from her cut, Gisele needing to work on it again, Kelly showing her gumshield not pleased she got cut, Taryn working on her as both women stare at each other, seeing how much damage they've done.

Round 8:
Coming together at the center, both landing through mitts to faces as blood with sweat flies off them, Kelly missing with her bigger punches as maybe frustration is making her load up too much.

For her troubles Alessandra steps inside with two uppercuts to the body that makes Kelly groan out, driving Kelly onto the ropes as she goes back to the body assault, the Ambrosio fans are yelling loudly for her.

Nudging back Alessandra so she can get into space, Kelly looks less nimble on her feet, maybe the body work is finally starting to get to her, both boxing around the ring with feet planted as the crowd is electric.

A right cross turns Kelly's head as she finds herself knocked into a corner, Taryn now having to watch her fighter taking the heat, Kelly trying to fire back, Alessandra seems to have found a second wind from somewhere as she is smacking her opponent with some nasty looking hooks.

Clinched up before the bell rings, the referee needs to step in as both are slamming in punches to kidneys, both wanting to win so badly, with coaches helping their fighters back to their corners, referee even taking a deep breath with how intense this one is.

Round 9:
Stepping out their corners looking like they've went twelve rounds with Tyson, while they are not throwing the same volume of punches, neither is holding back as sweat with blood flies off their opponent when they land flush.

Alessandra again going to the body, making Kelly groan and wince as she presses her onto ropes, throwing short sharp digs as Kelly can't seem to match her work in these exchanges, needing to hold onto the Brazilian to force the break.

When they resume Kelly shows some good upper body movement to dodge a jab, slamming a right hook over the top that turns Ambrosio's head, the tables turning as now Alessandra is driven along the ropes, the guard doing enough it seems to block the power from the punches coming her way.

More clinches coming from both as they suck in air, heads grinding as these two proud women don't want to give the other an inch, referee needing to break them up, both coaches looking worried as they watch this unfold.

As they head into the final moments of the round, Kelly lands a one-two combo flush that makes Alessandra stumble back two steps, needing to get her guard up as her comes Kelly, putting a lot into this charge.

But the bell may have saved Alessandra, referee needing to step in as Kelly wants to continue, pleading with the referee till Taryn rushes into the ring to bring her to her corner, Alessandra is hanging her arms over the middle ropes of her corner, nodding to Gisele as she is given a rousing speech by her friend.

Round 10:
The crowd are on their feet cheering for both warriors as they come to the center at the urging of the referee, touching gloves in a sign of respect, the bell rings to start the final round of this fight.

Moving around in a circle as Kelly looks for an opening, she tries stepping in with a right hook that Alessandra dips under, Kelly's face curls up in agony as an uppercut slams into her stomach.

Back goes Kelly as she looks to be hurting badly, Alessandra smelling blood in the water comes on the attack, a feint by the veteran opens up Kelly, WITH A STRAIGHT GOING INTO HER LIVER, DOWN GOES KELLY TO ALL FOURS AS THE CROWD GOES WILD!

Alessandra is slow to the neutral corner, sucking in air as she hopes this is it, 1...2...3...4.. Kelly spits out her mouthpiece as she is whining in pain, 5...6...7.. Pushing up to a kneeling position, Kelly is fighting back tears, 8...9...10 that's it! Kelly is counted out!

Winner Alessandra Ambrosio KO Round 10

After:
What a war! Alessandra pulling this one out the fire after a strong start, one mistake and it looked like that was it for the legend, now she is falling to her knees crying her eyes out as tonight is full of emotion for her.

Both coaches rush in to check on both fighters, Alessandra slowly coming over to Kelly to check on her, kneeling down to put her gloves on the shoulders of the young woman, telling her "you are amazing" with Kelly wiping tears away.

Getting helped up by Taryn and Gisele, there's a round of applause from the crowd with whistles, the fighters raise a glove up to acknowledge it even as they are exhausted.

Getting cleaned up in their corners, Kelly looks gutted as Taryn consoles her, saying "you were brilliant, Alessandra isn't some jobber, you have seen the wars she has been through, you just had a massive moment to build off" Kelly slowly nodding as she seems to be coming out her slump.

Across the ring Alessandra admits "god I knew she was good, but god did she surpass my expectations" to Gisele, who grins as if to say "I could have told you that" with both hugging as Alessandra stands up.

At the center of the ring looking better then they did, Alessandra gets her right hand raised as Kelly applauds her, both embracing softly as they are still sore, laughing as they talk about how much make up they need for the party.

Kelly goes to let Alessandra have the spotlight, the winner pulling her back as she wants them to pose with Taryn and Gisele, all four smiling to the cameras as it looks like a happy family now after brawling only moments before.

Heading out the ring together, Alessandra has her right arm around the shoulder of Kelly, praising her as the coaches follow behind, it's farewell to the BBU for Alessandra tonight, with only one more fight to go in her career next month on her birthday in the FCBA, if tonight is anything to go by then it is going to be full of drama.
