Alyssa Lynch vs Hunter King

BEFORE:
Hunter King strutting into the arena in a pair of blue gloves and colourful striped bikini, her blonde, shoulder-length hair hanging loose and bubbly over her shoulders. It’s premature optimism for the latest Knockout Babes signee, with King going through some trouble recently in terms of her fight schedule, accumulating quite a losing streak ever since being released from Front Street Stable.

“I’m disappointed, of course. But the losses end here. Lynch is dangerous, for sure, but I’ve got the bulk and power to put her on her ass, I think. She chose the wrong opponent to go up against tonight,” Hunter says with a nod.

Out comes Alyssa next, the Vixen raising white gloves as she struts onto stage in a v-shaped black bikini top and white boy sports. Comparatively, Alyssa’s had a good year, but she’s always floundered against her more spectacular opponents. Will 2021 finally be a good year for the brunette?

“King’s led a pretty protected and insulated life. But this is the real world, honey. That’s the real reason why she can’t catch a break. She’s facing real women for the first time, and I fully intend to extend that losing streak of hers after we’re done tonight.”

Face-off in the middle of the ring as ladies stare each other down, the referee spouting the rules but no one’s actually listening. Hunter with a two-inch height disadvantage but definitely packing more bulk in her compact figure - another reason why the blonde should consider going the JMD route sometime in the future. Alyssa smirking, cocky for once in her career. Rumours swirling of another showdown with Alexis Ren sometime in the future, made especially sweet after watching Ren get saddled and ridden about the ring by Elizabeth Gillies just two weeks ago. But first, Alyssa’s gotta go through this other prospective blonde.

Referee sends both fighters to their corners and gets the nod of assent to start. There’s the bell - DING! - and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
We’ve got plenty of energy in the opening seconds of this fight, with blonde and brunette pushing their youthful selves forth and initiating the first punches. King of course moving like a powerhouse hitter, having gained significant muscle in recent years and threatening to blow Alyssa off her feet with some early swings to her guard. But Alyssa steals the show with her fancy footwork, having fought her fair share of heavy-hitters in her career and easily side-stepping or avoiding Hunter’s hooks altogether, before hitting back with lightning jabs to the blonde’s face plentiful and early. King looks outmatched in this first round as a result, grunting as she struggles to balance both her power-swings and an adequate defence, ends up getting her ass handed to her as Lynch stays at a comfortable distance and pounds on her frame throughout. It’s not enough to send her to the canvas, but for this opening salvo, the Vixen comes out the victor.

ROUND 2:
King pays more attention to her defences and guard, and it shows. Early combos from Alyssa are taken without venom or as much damage as last round, with the Vixen now growing frustrated at not being able to score her jabs off the face or chest. Alyssa content to keep on coming, however, raps leather on the blonde’s tummy instead in straight left-right-left fashion, only to eat a hook of Hunter’s own design almost immediately after, the Knockout Babes starlet punishing the brunette for underestimating her. Alyssa gets the memo, spends the last minute covered up and back to evading, though Hunter is equally as young and fast in that regard, pressing in with final aggression as she bowls the Vixen over with another straight hand to the gut. Both ladies almost end up in a hand-in-hair catfight, wrapping up with arms around the shoulder and waistline in the final seconds whilst growling in each other’s faces, each trying to shove the other into the ropes to enact more punishment. But the referee separates them at the bell and herds them back to corners.

ROUND 3:
Hunter back in the driver’s seat, however, as she combines both power and precision to frustrate Alyssa’s plans this round. The Vixen’s trying to break her defences with repeated salvos of lefts and rights, but almost always finds her punches hitting the arms or barely grazing the blonde’s body, as Hunter tightens the noose and distance with every exchange. Another brazen hook suddenly sails in to threaten Alyssa’s head and take it right off, with the Vixen swerving to the side at the last minute (more on instinct) to avoid, but a follow-up lunge to her body is more accurate as King manages to shove more leather up into her tummy. More combos come sailing in and suddenly, Alyssa’s in trouble, groaning as her body gets beaten on from a relentless Hunter King, the blonde crowding in close and going to work with left and rights treating a punching bag. Ladies end up clinched and working each other over on the ropes once more, with Lynch occasionally stemming the tide as she imposes her height and catches the blonde on the side of the head with short, snappy overhands, but for the most part, Hunter takes the round wide.

ROUND 4:
Lynch now a little more scared - what began as a run-of-the-mill blonde versus brunette rodeo is quickly sliding away from her, with King matching her speed and ferocity with her own power and aggression. Alyssa’s forced to cover up and move from another early rush from King, who barrels towards the fellow youngster with her head down and arms up, before taking lunges at her body and forearms. Alyssa groaning as yet another right hand catches her hard on the ribs, momentarily stunning her to the spot, but before King can deliver another knockout blow, Lynch lands an uppercut into the base of her chin in response, thereby disrupting the blonde’s assault for the moment, as King goes reeling backwards in shock. Last minute and neither girl seizes the advantage, but Alyssa manages to use her height to tag King on the face with long-distance jabs, though, like we said before, King looks more irritated than hurt by the time the bell rings.

ROUND 5:
More back-and-forth action as ladies are dead-even in terms of points but equally hungry to pull ahead. Early, whippin’ action as Alyssa scores punts to the nostrils and lips with her right hand extended, stopping Hunter’s advance for a moment with a series of groans and moans. But Hunter not to be denied for long, a third sortee letting fly her fist as it stuns Alyssa back on the mouth with equal measure, sending the Vixen reeling back in shock. Here comes King, looking for redemption, and Alyssa’s forced into another trapped corner with the blonde bearing down upon her with unnatural speed and hunger, ROCKS her to the arms with right hooks swung in and out, finally throwing Lynch into the ropes, about ready to go down! Situation not looking too good for Alyssa as she remains trapped in the corner, with King staying on top of her and burying gloves into the pit of her stomach like wreckin’ balls on a demolition derby as the eager blonde slams blows into arms and the side of the head, until Alyssa finally gets her head turned from a hook across her chin - the Vixen’s SENT OFF HER FEET WITH A LOUD, PAINFUL GROAN!! And it’s a KNOCKDOWN for Hunter King, with Lynch getting absolutely LAID OUT on her side by the ropes, Alyssa’s eyes squeezed shut and fluttering as she spreads her arms and legs outwards in KO’ed COLD fashion!! Referee takes one look at the fallen girl and WAVES the rest of the fight off! Hunter King stops her losing streak with a brutal KO5 victory!

Official Decision: Hunter King defeats Alyssa Lynch via KO5!

AFTER:
Holy hell - a real upset pulled off tonight as Lynch arguably bit off more than she could chew, especially after a spectacular run in 2020 - not a good way to start the new year at all as the poor girl remains flattened on her back, her head barely turned from side to side and her chest rising and falling with every laboured breath.

King on the other hand confidently stepping over the brunette to head back to her corner, absolutely elated as she throws her hands in the air at finally having won a fight - a significant achievement indeed for the young blonde, and almost perfect redemption after getting dropped by her previous stable for younger and hungrier blood.

“This just proves I still have what it takes to win,” King later says to reporters. “Alyssa underestimated me, and so did everyone else after I got dropped by Front Street. Well, Lynch paid the price for it, and so will anyone who gets in my way from here on out! If dear Lyssa wants a repeat thrashing in the future, she knows where to find me: at my NEW stable at Knockout Babes!”
