Intro:
Next up here tonight in the Soctiabank Arena, we have an interesting clash between Gisele Bundchen and Lily Aldridge, on a card full of heated rivalries these two have a friendly history out the ring.

On form Gisele is still trying to find that win to revive her career, taking up coaching last year looked to have ended her career, as she stated then she hadn't retired, tonight she returns to the ring after a full year off to try to win for the first time to win in over six years.

She told Alicia Atout for the FCBA Network as she walked into the arena with her coach Taryn Terrell behind her carrying her gym back, Gisele wearing a red dress with matching heels looking more like she should be walking on the catwalk.

"Hey Alicia, I am ready to get back into the ring after my year off, when Lily made the challenge in the Girls Friday stable while visiting Alessandra (Ambrosio), I'll admit I didn't know why, but since then I realise that she wants to fight the best, my legacy in the Ice Hotel proves I am a great" says Gisele with a big smile as she poses hands on her hips.

"The year off has clarified where I was going wrong, now you all get to see the fruits of my labour, being in the ring with Alessandra and Kendall for sparring, it has gotten my drive back, so don't write me off honey before the bell rings" winking as the Brazilian catwalk icon leaves with Taryn shaking her head with a grin.

For Lily her record last year was three wins in four bouts, only former champion Adrianna Lima was able to stop her rise, Lily it seems is on a mission judging by the opponent's she has been fighting to defeat her fellow catwalk legends, whether friend or foe.

Alicia stops Lily walking in wearing a white T-shirt with blue denim jeans and black heels as she talks to coach Melanie Brown, pushing the strap on her gym bag further up her right shoulder, Lily looks in a good mood as she gives Alicia a hug with her left arm.

"OK I know I have had some criticism of opponent since the card was announced, honestly I don't care what people think of me or who I fight, I love this sport and that's all that matters for me" the stunning American says as Melanie nods beside her.

"Is Gisele at her peak, no she is not, is she still a former Queen of the Ice Hotel that beat the likes of Miranda Kerr, that is a definite yes and when I saw Gisele sparring Alessandra when my bestie Alessandra invited me to the gym to work out with her, I saw some of that fire and wanted to see how we compare" explaining her decision for this fight.

Mel interjects "at the end of the day Lily isn't far off getting into the elite discussion in my eyes, a win might gets her going for the rest of the year, I know Gisele will give us a few rounds, I also know Lily is the next champion around here if she puts her mind to it" Lily smiling before she thanks Mel, they both head off after fist bumping Alicia.

Fighting time, first out comes Gisele wearing a long royal blue robe with gold trim, she walks the aisle looking regal as she looks out at the fans as if inspecting her subjects, the old Gisele certainly seems in the house tonight as that aura of confidence is on show.

The robe is helped off by Taryn to reveal Gisele has on a blue sports bra, blue trunks with three thin gold stripes down the sides, blue shoes, gold coloured gloves, her hair is tied back into a braid as she walks up the steps to get into the ring.

In her corner Gisele nods to Taryn as she fixes a hard stare ahead, shadow boxing to limber up as she doesn't look like someone chasing for a win, not even bothering to look up the aisle as the crowd turns to see Lily make her entrance.

With Mel behind her Lily heads down the aisle looking relaxed, she blows a few kisses to the crowd as her fans shower her with chants, not a hint of worry that Gisele could take her down tonight.

Climbing into the ring, Lily is wearing a red sports bra with white trim, matching trunks and shoes, white gloves, as her hair is also braided, she poses for the fans with hands on her hips at the center of the ring with a beaming smile for them, her expression becomes more serious once in her corner warming up.

The referee brings the fighters together at the center, where they stare coldly into the others eyes, no hints of friendship now as all that matters is taking the win home, the cameras spot a keen spectator as Alessandra Ambrosio watches from the front row cheering both on it seems.

Told to touch gloves they both nod with a hard bump into their opponent's set, returning to their corners, both eyes the other up as coaches tell them to take the others head off, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
At the bell they circle exchanging jabs, Gisele a strong outside fighter steps back the first time she sees Lily try to close the gap between them, watching carefully with her veteran eye it seems for reads she can use.

When the combos start flying in, it's Gisele surprising some after her year of inactivity to be winning them, clearly with her coach role she has a new appreciation for reading the details of a fighter, moving out of range when Lily steps in with a double jab ready to slam into her younger foes face.

After half of the round has went by with Lily taking the brunt of Gisele's boxing skills, she manages to slip a jab to step in with two hooks to the body that make Gisele grit her mouthpiece, an overhand left doesn't land flush, it does give Gisele her first thing to worry about tonight.

Keeping in closer to Gisele, Lily's faster hands are now starting to help her win exchanges, Gisele being driven back near the ropes as Lily puts two to three punches together, targeting the abs of the Brazilian supermodel to the delight of her fans.

With thirty seconds to go, Lily misses with a right hook up as Gisele blocks it, a straight instead slams into her nose, that opens Lily up for Gisele to push her back with four more punches square into her face to get the Bundchen fans standing up applauding their hero on.

At the bell Gisele nods her respect to Lily before she struts off back to her corner, Lily sits on her stool nodding as Mel tells her she wasn't showing her best there, saying she has the tools to take that cocky bytch down as she sees Gisele.

Round 2:
Gisele certainly looks motivated tonight as she steps back out her corner, stepping in more with her straight punches to try to push back her smaller opponent so she can control the center of the ring, Lily is blocking them well till one slams into her chest.

Taking the center with a rye smile, Gisele is looking comfortable as Lily is forced to fight around the outside, both landing some stiff jabs and straights, Gisele though is beautifully controlling the pace over the opening minute.

Till maybe she gets cocky, throwing in a looping left hook Aldridge sees coming, the American ducks under to step inside with two right hooks to the body, a left follows to the other side as Gisele doesn't seem to be liking them too much.

Pushing Lily back as she tries to get back on the front foot, Gisele though is finding it hard to keep Lily where she wants her, Lily slamming in more punches straight into the body of the Girls Friday coach, backing her up to the ropes with a well drilled body punching attack.

Forced to pull Lily into a front headlock, when ordered to break Gisele cleanly does so with a tap to Lily's back while moving off the ropes, they resume quickly enough with Gisele having to fend off a more aggressive Lily with punches square into her face.

The round ends with Lily evening things up, Gisele admitting to Taryn "she is good" which prompts the coach to say "you are better remember" making Gisele look more steely in her gaze towards Lily, this isn't friendly sparring but a full on fight.

Round 3:
Stepping around the ring firing more combos out, both women are trying to control the action, Gisele not looking so comfortable now the heat has been turned up on her, forced to stand and trade to try to get Lily's respect.

But a missed left cross leaves Gisele open to a right to her abs, an overhand left then slams across her cheek as she groans out, finding herself being forced back into a corner as Lily has certainly turned the switch on now to punish Bundchen after a slow opener.

Needing to clinch up as her body takes a beating, Gisele tries to muscle Lily around but they seem evenly matched in the strength department, forcing the referee to get the grappling pair apart, with Gisele happy to get back to the middle of the ring.

Slamming in a double jab as she sees Lily coming at her, Gisele surprises some by now being the one on the front foot, bullying her opponent back to the ropes behind her straight punches as her fans find their voices again after being subdued.

Another mistimed straight by Gisele leaves her open to another left hook under those ribs, she is grimacing as she redness is forming around the sides, momentum turning once again in the final seconds as Gisele protects her sides and eats a straight into her lips just before the bell rings to give another round to Aldridge.

Round 4:
Nodding to Taryn before she goes back out, Gisele knows she needs to lay some more heavy leather on Lily, striking her early with a one-two through her mitts to her beautiful face, Gisele moves back as Lily tries to land a jab to the body, landing another pinpoint one-two as she can have a sniper like quality at her best.

Pressing back Lily to the outside again, Gisele is throwing in more two to three punches at a time as she doesn't want Lily getting out from behind her guard, coaches screaming at both fighters what to do as the competitive edge grows.

Lily manages to get in closer after deflecting a straight, forcing the issue in a fiery exchange as both plant their feet, Gisele lands a beautiful left/right cross combination that seems to shut off that rally from Aldridge, who finds herself stuffed under more punches to her face that is marked up now.

As they have a minute to go in the round, Lily times her counter attack perfectly when she ducks under a right cross to land a right square into the solar plexus of Gisele, who groans out loud as Lily now turns up the heat again, beating Bundchen back into a corner, where more body shots seem to be taking the steam out of the Brazilian.

Who is gamely fighting back to the delight of the crowd, at the bell though Gisele looks to be hurting around her body, returning to her corner to get her body treated with an ice pack, Lily meanwhile has a mouse under her left eye from a right cross near the end, she looks the more up for it now as she taps her feet waiting for the bell.

Round 5:
Coming back out to try to force the issue with Lily, Gisele though is getting caught with hooks to the side, A RIGHT HOOK LANDS FLUSH UNDER THE RIBS OF BUNDCHEN, CAUSING HER TO GET OUT AS SHE TAKES A KNEE!

Holding onto her left side, Gisele spits out her mouthpiece, 1...2...3... Sucking in air as she tries to massage the pain away, 4...5...6.. It isn't looking good though as Gisele stares at the canvas, all that spirit she came in with seems to have left her, 7...8...9...10 that's it for this fight!

Winner Lily Aldridge KO Round 5

After:
A good performance from Lily as she heads over to Gisele, checking she is OK as she takes a knee, both women sharing a rye smile as Gisele admits "I might be getting too old for this" winking as Lily taps her on her left shoulder.

As this is going on Alessandra Ambrosio has left ringside, getting allowed into the ring as she tells both "good show ladies" smiling as she hugs Lily, then telling Gisele "I'll hug you when you are not so sore OK?" Gisele replying "bytch don't make me laugh right now" winking as she stifles a laugh.

Both fighters return to their corners as Alessandra heads to the Girls Friday corner to help out where she can with Gisele, Taryn doesn't look too bothered by Gisele's defeat as she tells her "good effort tonight, for a year off I've seen worse" fist bumping Gisele to show her respect to her fellow coach.

In the Lioness corner Melanie tells Lily "that's my future champion, tonight was a good way to start things off, now we keep stepping it up till you get gold around this trim waist" tapping Lily on her abs as Lily grins, thanking Melanie for the support.

As soon as both women are ready, they come together at the center of the ring for the final result to be announced, Lily gets her left hand raised as Gisele along with the rest of the Girls Friday crew applaud her to show all is still well in this friendship.

"Make it to the top of you'll find me kicking your ass" Gisele says with a wink to Lily, who chuckles as she watches Bundchen step out the ring gingerly, Alessandra yelling "see you along with Gisele for drinks later" waving before she follows Gisele out the ring to the back with the rest of her crew.

Lily poses for the cameras as her fans whistle and chant her name, the popular model adding another scalp to her growing list, asking for a microphone after she is done flexing her arms, which is duly given to her as she walks around the ring.

"Thank you to all my fans for coming to see me, you honestly give me so much help to keep reaching for the stars, I hope I continue to make you proud, especially by winning gold" tapping her abs as that gets the biggest cheer for her tonight.

Handling the microphone off, Lily blows the crowd a big kiss then steps out the ring, her future looks bright with the Lioness stable firmly behind her, is 2021 the year Lily finally gets the title a lot of people suspect she is good enough to win?
