Emma: 25 YO, 5’8 (1.73 m), 1-0-0, 1 KO 2021 Debut, Global Boxing Syndicate

Mandy: 36 YO, 5’10 (1.78 m), 31-40, 22 KO since 2004, Foxfire Boxing

Before: “I got off to a good start beating Emmy Rossum in my debut,” a cheerful Emma Corrin tells the press ahead of her fight with veteran Mandy Moore. “I showed everyone that I can beat a veteran fighter. Now I get to show I can beat a former champion. Admittedly, she’s been former since—when was in Mandy?—2015. Time does fly, doesn’t it? So does the boxing skills and power she used to have. There is a reason she went 1-3 and you’ll see when I score my second win.”

Mandy Moore scowling through all Emma’s mocking observations. “You need to learn to watch your mouth around here, Ms. Corrin. There are plenty of people who will happily shut it with a good solid smack your big mouth—and you can count me as one of them! I didn’t have a good year last year, that is clear, but I coming back srong this year—as you will find out when score my 32nd win!”

Emma just shrugs: “Bring it on, Mandy, bring it on.”

“Don’t worry, I will!” Mandy snaps.

Mandy’s hostility still burning when the two meet in the ring for their bout. Mandy is in electic blue one piece with black gloves and boots (electric blue laces)., Shoulder length hair is loose and wetted down. She glares at Emma who is in a lacy black one pieces with silver gloves and boots (black laces). Bobbed dark hair loose and wetted down. Emma just smiles confidently. Mandy sullen through the ring instructions as Emily continues to be irksomely cheerful. When it comes time for the glove tap, Mandy RAMS her gloves into Emma knocking her back a step or two. Now Emma eyes flash with anger. Referee scolds Mandy before the fighters for their corners. DING! DING!

R1: Mandy attacking Emma to the head early with sharp jabs and then right and left strikes to the jaw, Emma trying to evade these punches, but getting banged again and again. Emma finally pulling back trying to jab at Mandy to the face as the veteran comes in, Then Mandy fires a overhand right that strikes Emma hard to the mouth. Emma recoils with blood dripping down her chin from a split lower lip. (Guess Mandy make good her threat to put her leather into Emma’s mouth because Mandy is smiling wickedly at a dazed Emma). Emma now covering her face and letting Mandy pound away at her to the torso as the round draws to a close. Mandy Moore takes opening round wide.

R2: Emma moving out faster this round and boldly attacks Mandy as soon as she can get within range. Emma firing straight shots to carve up Mandy’s face in an obviously reprisal move. Mandy bleeding from nose and mouth, smacks Emma to the chin with a clipping right hand, but then Emma replies with hard shots to the jaw with her left and right. Mandy looking sluggish from these blows, but does cover her face. Emma now goes after Mandy to the good, really pounding Mandy from her breast down her ribs and then deep into Mandy’s belly with strong hooks that bend Mandy forward, Emma now banging at the sides of Mandy’s head, but runs out of time. Nevertheless Emma Corrin has won R2 wide.

R3: Mandy and Emma both out swiftly for this round. They clash at center ring with an exchange of big shots to the head, then they fire away at chin and jaw. Heads getting knocked around and shivers sent down suddenly wobbly legs as the impacts spread through Emma and Mandy’s bodies. Then they start going at each other to the body. They are in close, smashing short rights and lefts up into each other’s torsos. Involuntarily groans and gasps can be heard as this destruction punching goes on and on. Stays even until late when Mandy Moore starts to give ground. This causes Emma to increase her punching and she is slowly driving Mandy back as the round ends. Emma wins a close round.

R4: Mandy Moore scored quickly in the new round with cracking rights and lefts to Emma Corrin’s jaw and chin, Emma tried to jab Mandy back, but Mandy now attacked with solid hooks to Emma’s midsection. Then she struck again at Emma to the chin. Emma was back on her heels, trying to protect her face as Mandy coolly worked Emma’s ribs and breasts over before returning with more hooks to the stomach. Emma was looking swamped, just trying to protect her head and stay clear of the ropes. Mandy continued the heavy pressure to the bell. Mandy returned to her corner having won the round wide.

R5: Mandy was again aggressive from the start of the round. She was swinging for Emma’s head, but Emma was now blocking or ducking these shots. Emma was also striking back with counters to Mandy’s breasts and ribs. Mandy then took a hard right hand to the jaw and a hard left to the chin. Mandy was rocked, but managed to smash back with a right of her own to Emma’s jaw. Mandy then pressed in close, hammering at Emma to the body, even as Emma was trying to answer with close in body punches of her own. They battled toe to toe until Mandy was able to surprise Emma with a right to the chin that sent Emma stumbling back. Mandy started to follow up with more body punches but time ran out. Still, Mandy Moore had scored a narrow win to take the round.

R6: Mandy bounding out of her corner with a determined expression on her face, but Emma looks equally determined as she quickly emerges from her corner. Mandy leaping forward with a sweeping right hand that looks to take Emma’s head off. Unfortunately for Mandy, Emma sees the punch coming, ducks under at the last moment and then comes shooting up with her right hand perfectly positioned beneath Mandy’s exposed chin. BOOM! Uppercut lifted Mandy up on her toes and she comes down only to have a second BOOM! Of m uppercut smash home. Mandy’s left foot lifts off the canvas AND DOWN CRASHES MANDY MOORE! Mandy lands on her back, her legs straight out in front of her, gloves up around her head, as she looks blankly up at the lights. Emma quickly departs for the neutral corner and watches with interest. Mandy trying to rise, but falls back with her right forearm covering her eyes to shut out the glare of the overhead lights.

“SEVEN!...EIGHT!....NINE!...TEN!...YER OUT!” cries the referee.

EMMA CORRIN OF GBS DEFEATS MANDY MOORE OF FOXFIRE BOXING KO6!

After: Emma thrilled with her second FCBA win. She eagerly has her gloves removed and, as soon as she is allowed, pulls Mandy Moore to her feet.

“Now you get to the share the experience of being Walked by Emma Corrin,” Emma tells Mandy, who looks miserable, but says nothing. Walk of Shame is marked with plenty of posing for the pictures as Emma’s fans cheer and Mandy Moore looks like she wishes she were anywhere else.

Very good win for British newcomer Emma Corrin. She’s now 2-0 in the tough Welterweight Division and fans are already wondering how she’ll do against her next opponent. Meanwhile, Mandy Moore showed good stuff, but she seemed to be trying to rush a win and got careless in the 6th with disastrous results. It should now be clear a fighter can’t afford to by careless when taking on Emma Corrin.
