Intro:
We kick off tonights Diamond Boxing Tournament action here in Nashville's Bridgestone Arena with two women desperate for a win in this tournament, a loss her for either Danielle Herrington or Bridget Regan would most certainly put out the flicker of a chance at winning it all other then maybe the wooden spoon for coming last.

So far for young model Danielle she has given both Damaris Lewis and Karen Gillan tough fights, being knocked out in the sixth and eighth round respectively, how long though before the defeats get to her?

In Danielle's video before the fight on the FCBA Network, she still looked chipper as she sat on the stool in a red dress that hugged her impressive body, nodding to the cameraman she was ready to speak.

"OK so I know my record this year has been lousy, when you look at my performances though I am competing with some great fighters, I out boxed the BBU champion, I had Karen hurt several times in our fight, so all this talk that I am a flash in the pan that is being exposed can go away" Herrington says with a big smile as she waves the back of her right hand to signify her point.

Turning her attention to her opponent, Danielle says "to Bridget I respect you girl, problem for you is I am on the rise as you are pummelling to the ground with no parachute, I'll happily stamp on her legacy to shut up those who say I shouldn't be in this tournament" grinning as she crosses her legs, her eyes though hold a fire behind them it seems towards those who doubt her.

"Once I beat Regan down, I am so ready for the rest of my opponent's, when I keep surprising your heroes in the media, I hope I get a few apologies for how they disrespect me" standing up once she is she finished with a little swagger to her step.

Meanwhile Bridget has tasted the hard leather of Antje Utgaard and Bo Krsmanovic, the icon of the division getting knocked out in just four rounds against Antje, lasting five against Bo to make some wonder if we are seeing the last light in Regan's wonderful career dead in front of the world.

Walking with a purpose judging by her expression, Bridget sits down wearing a navy blue dress with her eyes locked firmly onto the camera, starting off by saying "I've been written off before, told I wasn't good enough and treated as if I wouldn't make it, I prove all those people who said those things wrong, all the doubters now will learn why you never count me out" her eyes unblinking as if staring those people down.

After brushing the lower part of her dress straight of any creases, Bridget tells the camera "on Danielle, the kid has some real talent, I wish in some ways I was working with her to hone that talent, instead I need to do what I've done to plenty of fresh faced talents who thought they would make a name off me, I will stamp her down like all the rest" fists clenched as she speaks, a tension right up her body.

"Maybe afterwards Danielle could ask me a thing or two about the business if she is nice, right now I am only interested in beating her down and then beating everyone else they put in front of me, you all might laugh behind my back, think I am easy pickings ladies but you never let your guard down around me, you'll learn soon enough" marching off the set as she looks keen to punch her ticket back up into the elite bracket of fighters.

Fight night, first out comes Danielle with her coach Jeri Ryan, someone who knows Bridget very well, Danielle waves to the fans as she heads down the aisle with her trademark beautiful smile that is reserved for her fans, her opponent might be lucky to see it after she bashes them down.

Danielle wearing her favourite colours, a blue sports bra with yellow trim, matching trunks and shoes, yellow gloves, her hair is braided, she steps into the ring nodding to Jeri as her demeanor gets more serious, knowing she can't take Bridget lightly.

Now out comes the former champion, still working with Moon Bloodgood as they head down the aisle, the steely gaze of Bridget is firmly on the ring as maybe she knows this is her best chance right now of getting a win to Jump start her career again.

Bridget is wearing wearing a black sports bra with gold trim, matching trunks and shoes, gold gloves, while her hair is also braided, she climbs into the ring banging her gloves together as she walks to her corner, giving a cold look to her opponent.

The fighters come together at the center of the ring, eyes giving piercing looks as neither shows a hint of fear for their opponent, instead they are trying to make the other woman back down, referee finishing their instructions as they look at these two toned fighters unblinkingly face off.

Asked to touch the gloves of their opponent, they do so respectfully as this is all about getting the big W on their record, nothing more or less as they jog back to their corners, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Bouncing on their toes as they come out their corners, less so Bridget as they exchange jabs around the center, Danielle trying to throw in a few feints to maybe open up her veteran opponent, WHO DOESN'T TAKE THE BAIT AS SHE STEPS IN WITH A STRAIGHT AS DANIELLE LEAVES HERSELF OPEN, DOWN ONTO HER BUM GOES HERRINGTON WITHIN FORTY SECONDS!

The crowd look as stunned as Danielle does as she looks at the referee, 1...2...3....4.. Punching the canvas in frustration as that seems to have been more a flash knockdown then a hard one, 5....6... Beginning to push to her feet, shaking her head, 7...8.. Danielle beats the count, lifting her fists up to show that her pride was more hurt then her.

As they resume though Regan is after the statement stoppage, coming hard after Danielle with a flurry of punches that gets the crowd roaring, Danielle forced to fight off the ropes as fists fly in both directions.

After several good hard blows land clean, Danielle hangs onto Bridget as we get past the half way point in the round, Danielle looks shell shocked that she is being bullied around, did she take Regan for granted with all those feints?

Once apart Danielle starts to get her jab going to keep her opponent on the outside, moving around the ring to not get caught as freely as she did, Bridget still stalking her around the ring with her classic predator like look hunting its prey that many a fighter has had the displeasure of watching first hand.

At the bell what a start to the fight, Danielle still looks a little stunned as Jeri checks how badly she got hurt, across the ring Moon is rubbing the arms of Bridget to keep her loose, full of praise for her friend as that knockdown has got everyone talking at ringside.

Round 2:
While Danielle is more mobile, she is still fighting a little inside herself, not throwing as many punches as her veteran opponent, who is hunting after her again with several overhand punches that just about graze their targets.

Burying a double jab into the mouth of Herrington, Regan knocks her back with an uppercut as back onto the ropes goes the youngster, having to cover up as Bridget goes to work trying to break her down, till she is held by Danielle to stop the assault.

The chants for Bridget are flowing around the arena as she continues to step after Danielle, who is starting to catch her more and more with straight punches to her face, Regan maybe opening up a little too much herself now as she looks to end this early.

As they enter the final minute, it is Danielle who lands the hard counter punch as Bridget swings in a left hook that finds thin air, instead a straight into her body is followed by an overhand left to the side of her head, making the stunning actress retreat back as Danielle now forces the issue.

Both let their fists go as we enter the final twenty seconds, Danielle trying to get the respect of Bridget, getting her bottom lip cut open with a left cross as the crowd are on their feet applauding and cheering both fighters on up until the bell rings, with both fighters turning on their heels to their corner.

Round 3:
After Jeri has given her a stern telling to in her corner, Danielle is putting her punches together better, moving around the more slower Bridget rifling in punches through her mitts to her face, Jeri banging on the apron each time Danielle lands a flush combo to show her pleasure.

Bridget still lands some sweet punches of her own, a left cross catches Danielle coming in as a straight follows into those bloody lips, making Danielle retreat to the outside of the ring, while Regan takes the center as Queen of this ring.

The second minute for most goes to Bridget as she skillfully shows what an elite fighter should do in this position, keeping the pressure up on Bridget by picking her punches well to not waste energy missing on leather or arms, hitting especially well to the body to make her opponent groan out.

But as they enter the final minute, a left cross hits on the side of Bridget's head as she steps in with a right to the body, a straight to her head snaps it back as Danielle starts to land a barrage of punches that knocks back the actress across the ring onto the ropes.

Where Bridget gets to soak up the pressure on her gloves, several body shots have her wincing as they dig right into her, especially in the final seconds when one lands on her solar plexus to wind her, two hooks smack around the sides of her head as her guard opens up.

The round comes to an end with Danielle getting on the board in a big way with that late barrage, Bridget needing Moon to check her over as she nods that she felt those, Danielle almost eagle eyed from her corner as she watches how Bridget is acting.

Round 4:
Boxing more as it dawns on Regan that she is not going to get Danielle out as easily as she hoped, both box around the ring with stiff punches landing through guards to faces, sweat with some blood flies off both fighters as they fight hard.

Dipping under a Bridget straight, Danielle lands another right to the solar plexus, another follows as Bridget is gasping out, Danielle forcing her to the ropes where she needs to clinch up, their toned glistening bodies rubbing as Bridget looks to be breathing harder.

Once apart Danielle is beating her opponent to the punch, slamming straight through the guard of Bridget like a knife through butter, A DOUBLE JAB UP TOP OPENS UP REGAN FOR A RIGHT SQUARE INTO HER BODY AGAIN, BRIDGET GOES DOWN TO ALL FOURS GASPING OUT!

What a turnaround! Bridget is groaning as she tries to suck in air, 1...2...3.. Kicking the canvas as her forehead touches it, Bridget looks in real agony, 4.....5....6... Pushing slowly up, 7...8.. Bridget gets to her haunches as she spits out her gumshield, 9...10 where she stays as she shakes her head, it's over!

Winner Danielle Herrington KO Round 4

After:
Is this the night Bridget Regan's time as an elite fighter ended? Danielle coming from behind to beat her will surely up the discussion on that point, for the youngster all that matters is she has taken the biggest scalp of her young career, she celebrates by mounting the bottom corner of the neutral corner to pose with her arms flexed to loud cheers.

While Bridget has to be checked over by Moon, admitting she is still finding it hard to breath as she got badly winded there, Moon looking close to tears as she puts her left hand on the right shoulder of her friend, who tells her "I'll.. Be OK" nodding to make Moon nod back with a small smile.

After getting her gloves taken off, Danielle goes over to a now standing Bridget to check she is OK, Bridget smiles as she jokes "you know I didn't do that as a rookie, when I beat the veterans I gloated over them" winking as she seems somewhat back to her old self.

Still Danielle thanks her for the fight along with a fist bump of respect, Bridget nodding as she tells Danielle "you have some talent in there, don't waste it OK?" Danielle nods several times with a big beaming smile to say she won't before they return to their corners.

On her stool now Bridget admits "I need someone to give me a good slap for that, how could I throw away that knockdown? I used to be so ruthless" Moon gives Bridget a playfully soft tap on her cheek to stop her going down the rabbit hole of why she lost right now, telling her they can focus on that during their next training session.

Across the ring Jeri gives Danielle a hug as she tells her "don't scare me like that" making Danielle chuckle, before she admits "I got sloppy there, I know I can't do that again at this weight" making Jeri tell her she definitely can't.

Once both women are cleaned up, they head to the center of the ring for the final result, Bridget sportsmanlike lifts up Danielle's left arm as the referee holds up the right, Bridget telling the winner that she expects a rematch someday, smiling as Danielle says "sure" though Jeri doesn't look so pleased by that.

Stepping out the ring, Bridget takes in the crowds cheers, though she looks deep in thought, maybe wondering what she needs to do to stem this run of defeats, Moon walking beside her as she also looks to be thinking how she will help Bridget out this funk.

In the ring Danielle poses with her hands on her hips for the cameras with a smile, her bottom lip still has a cut on, Jeri smiling as she sees the confidence back flowing through the rookie, who may have announced herself a contender after tonight.

As they step out the ring, Danielle has her first win on the board, can she start to make a late run through the field or will she prove to be a flash in the pan? It will be an interesting story to follow through the rest of the bouts she has.
