Before:

The next fight sees a wily veteran up against a relative newcomer to the upper tier of fighters as Fates’ Taylor Swift takes on Bonzo Gym’s Tasya Teles. Swift may have over 80 fights to her name while this will be Teles’ 10th fight, but that doesn’t mean the actress is some pushover – she’s defeated two Hall of Famers in Yvonne Strahovski and Missy Peregrym, and has also taken down Dua Lipa – all before her tenth fight.

“I know I’m the underdog in the match,” Tasya tells the press, “but I know that I have it in me to beat the best, and that’s what I’m going to do tonight.”

Taylor merely laughs as she hears Tasya’s declaration, “Well, Teles at least knows I’m the best, but she doesn’t have what it takes to hang with girls like me. I don’t care that she’s beaten the Lookout Hall of Famers, I’m going to lay her out.”

Come fight night, Taylor Swift is the first girl who makes her way to the ring, the singer casually slips her robe off to reveal a black sports bra with matching trunks and white gloves, her hair up in a bun for the fight. Moments later, Tasya Teles steps out from the back, the actress quickly striding towards the ring. Teles slides between the second and third ropes and drops her robe to reveal a red sports bra with matching gloves and trunks. Swift gets in Teles’ face, and the actress doesn’t seem to be paying any attention to the singer’s antics. The referee gets the blonde to back off, but when he asks for the two to touch gloves, Taylor refuses to oblige and the ref just has to call for the bell.

Round 1:

Taylor charges out of her corner and goes right for Tasya, whiffing on her first left and taking a right from Tasya, but the singer responds with a big right to the actress’ jaw that drives the actress to her right. Teles covers up her head as she retreats around the ring, but Swift covers too much ground with her long strides and corners Teles where the blonde singer unloads on the brunette actress’ body, punishing her early. Tasya struggles to clinch Taylor, and gets pounded further into the ropes before the Canadian drives two short rights into the American’s face, getting Swift to back off. Teles escapes from the ropes and gets some space between herself and Swift, though the blonde quickly closes it again and works her famous jabs to keep the brunette on her back heels as the bell rings. Taylor Swift takes the opening round on points, wide, as she seems like she’s looking for a statement of a win.

Round 2:

Taylor starts the second round the same as the first, charging after Tasya, but this time the Canadian actress is ready for her and knocks her in the mouth with the right jab, stopping the blonde’s forward progress. Teles quickly follows up with two blows to Swift’s midriff, putting a scowl on the singer’s face. Taylor covers up and protect her head as Tasya unloads on the blonde, digging in blows to her torso. Swift backs off and starts working her jab, advantage of her longer reach. Teles backs off and start fighting from range, looking for counters to Taylor’s strikes and finds a clean right that connects with Swift’s mouth, opening her upper lip. The singer charges at Tasya, driving two blows to her foe’s torso and the two women briefly grapple before they clinch and the right fast to separate the two of them as time expires. Taylor pushes Tasya away as she turns her back, but the Canadian actress gets on the board, and more importantly, gets under the American singer’s skin.

Round 3:

Teles slowly creeps out of her corner, ready for an onslaught from Swift, and she doesn’t have to wait long as the Fates girl goes back to that jab that has gotten her so far in the FCBA. The blonde’s blows bounce off of the brunette’s guard and Tasya gets in close to Taylor and gets the singer in her ribs. Swift backs off and starts circling Teles, who obliges and the pace slows down slightly as both women trade jabs. Taylor may have the longer reach, but that doesn’t mean Tasya hasn’t found a way to fight back, as the Canadian is consistently tagging Swift’s guard on the counter, forcing the blonde to reposition and back off before resuming her strikes. After Swift’s third retreat, Teles charges forward, cutting the singer off, but only receives a trio of blows to her body in return as the bell rings to end the round. Tasya again takes the round off of Taylor, and the Fates girl and former champ is going to have to change things around here if she wants to win the fight.

Round 4:

Between rounds, Emily DiDonato tells Taylor to get her act together, and the singer comes out with a purpose in the fourth. Tasya keeps on waiting on the strikes from range, but they never come as Taylor puts her legs to use, cutting off the older actress and bullying her with short, swift blows to her body. Teles grunts as Swift buries a left into her midriff, and the Canadian wraps up Swift to force a break. The referee gets the two women separated, and they start circling, this time with Taylor bombing away from distance. Tasya keeps her guard up and starts creeping forward, getting close enough to start hitting Taylor back. Swift retreats, but Teles gives her chase until the blonde plants her feet and starts slugging at the brunette. Tasya backs off, but takes two shots to her chin and nearly goes down as Taylor charges forwards – and the bell rings! Teles gets a lucky reprieve as the bell signals the end of the round while Swift gets herself back into the fight.

Round 5:

The two competitors cautiously exit their corners to start the fifth, and they circle each other. Swift prods Teles’ defenses with a right that bounces off of the actress’ guard, and the Canadian smokes her American foe with a left and Taylor’s hurting! The singer covers her head as Tasya charges the blonde, hammering blows into her body, each strike driving the breath out of the singer as Taylor desperately clinches. Teles still can move her left arm though, and she connects with two big shots to Swift’s liver and the blonde nearly goes down! Swift pulls in Teles and finally gets the break from the referee, though the break is short lived as Tasya quickly closes the distance and goes back to Taylor’s body. Swift takes a blow to her ribs and counters with a straight right that catches Teles flush in the face, knocking the brunette backwards and giving Taylor an opportunity to return the punishment she took this round, but the bell comes too soon for the blonde’s liking and returns to her corner.

Round 6:

Taylor picks up where she left off, throwing straight rights and lefts at Tasya’s head, battering blows through the actress’ guard with brute force. Swift keeps up the steady pace and knocks Teles into the ropes early, but the Canadian bounces off and sinks a right into Taylor’s midriff, drawing a grunt out of the blonde. Tasya pulls her right arm back but bends over as Taylor connects with a body blow of her own before snapping Tasya back upright and the brunette is covering up once again! Swift is unrelentling in her pursuit and only stops after Teles ducks a right and hammers Swift’s chest, forcing the blonde back to regroup briefly. Tasya steps forward and connects with a left to Taylor’s ribs, but the blonde is ready and counterpunches, trading bodyshots with Teles but getting the better of the trades as Teles covers up more and more. The bell rings, again too early for Taylor’s liking, and the two girls are tied up after six.

Round 7:

Swift pursues Teles with a renewed energy, bullying the smaller girl around the ring with her jabs, and it’s ugly for the Bonzo fighter. Tasya takes blow after blow as Taylor works around the actress’ guard, and Teles nearly goes down from a right hook from Swift. Tasya retreats and Taylor pursues her, driving a hard right at the actress that whiffs, and Teles plants her feet and connects with a brutal uppercut and Swift’s legs buckle! Taylor stumbles backwards and regains her footing only for Tasya to connect with two straights to Taylor’s chin and down goes the blonde! The first knockdown of the fight goes to Teles, and she quickly backs off as the referee starts his count. Swift gets to her knees and looks up to see the referee at the count of six before she pushes herself back to her feet. The singer pushes the referee away and gets her guard up, protecting her head as Tasya looks to finish her off in the waning seconds of the round, but the bell rings and the blonde is still standing. Teles hides a smile on her face as Swift goes back to the Fates corner with a bewildered look on her face.

Round 8:

It’s a tale of two corners as Teles is just told she has to keep on doing what she’s been doing while Swift has to flip the script if she wants to come out of this. But it’s not going to be easy as Tasya adopts a stick and shift strategy, and nails Taylor in her mouth with a right on her second shift. Swift lunges out with a desperate left that barely misses Teles’ head and the actress connects with a solid left to Taylor’s nose, busting it open as Taylor’s head snaps backwards. Swift covering up as blood trickles onto her jugs and Tasya unleashes a brutal barrage on Taylor’s guard. Swift keeps her gloves up but Teles buries leather into her midriff, drawing a groan out of the singer and her arms flare out. Tasya sees the opening and hammers two straight rights into Taylor’s chin and down goes Swift again! The crowd has a moment of stunned silence before roaring to life for Teles’ second knockdown of Swift, this time knocking the singer onto her back. Taylor rolls herself over, but she’s clearly hurting as she picks herself up. The referee checks in on her, and, determining that she can continue, waves Tasya back in. Swift just covers her head as Teles drills blows into her guard, and Taylor’s just looking to stay around until the end of the round as she is getting absolutely battered, her guard failing as she gets bullied into the ropes and unloaded on without response and the ref pulls Teles back! Your winner by an upset TKO8, Tasya Teles!

After:

Teles is absolutely ecstatic as Swift teeters unsteadily on her legs before being held up and helped to a stool. Meanwhile, the crowd roars as Tasya makes her way around the ring, waving to the crowd to celebrate her victory. After soaking in the energy, Teles heads over to the stool Swift is sitting on, but the blonde turns her head and refuses to acknowledge the victorious actress, and DiDonato tells Teles that Swift is taking the loss hard and doesn’t want to talk, but the brunette personally congratulates the victorious girl on a fight well won. Tasya thanks the Fates model before leaving the ring, waving to the crowd one last time before talking to the press.

“I knew I could beat her!” Tasya exclaims, “I know I haven’t fought as much as Taylor or Emily or some of the other girls in the league, but I have arrived, and I’m taking names. So, who’s next?” And with that, the actress leaves the press with a statement win in her hands.

Swift is visibly dejected as microphones get shoved in her face, and the blonde pauses for a second before saying, “I’ll get my revenge,” and leaves, the press wondering if Swift is still in that upper tier of fighters or if she’s lost a step.
