Munn at the press conference and the swagger is slowly coming back. “Look, a lot of people are asking why I am fighting a chick who is like O for the 2000’s? Laura Pausini, hearing the dismissive Munn, launches into a tirade in Italian which defies translation - to try to parse out the blue language would be to lose the meaning!

Fight Night: Munn, all in black, to the ring to the theme from “The Munnsters” drawing a roar of appreciation and laughter from the crowd. Olivia all smirks - to chagrin of Sceej trainer Scrubby McGee. Laura Pausini in scarlet bikini with matching boots and gloves, the Italian beauty scowling as she marches to ring with Latin Union trainer (and one of the overlooked greats of the welterweight division) Sophie Marceau.

Round 1: Munn with mitts under chin, bobbing side to side. Pausini slinging power shots - lead rights and left hooks - Italian contingent in crowd cheering lustily, seemingly oblivious to fact that Munn is taking shots on gloves, forearms or shoulders, and regularly slipping the punches outright. Still, Pausini winning the round based on sheer output until Munn sneaks upper cut up the middle and startles singer. Pausini takes a step back … furrows brow angrily and leads with the right … and east a counter left hook for her trouble! Munn grins out of her peek-a-boo stance and taunts hot blooded beauty to “Come on!”. Pausini obliges with whirlwind of lefts and rights - backing Munn up but not really laying on the damage. Round ends and Munn sticks out her tongue. Pausini shoves her off with both hands. Close round - Pausini the aggressor but Munn likely steals the round with cleaner punches.

Round 2: Marceau preaching greater discipline to Pausini - in Italian - but she might as well be speaking Chinese - Pausini straining at leash to put hands on Munn again! In Sceej corner, Scrubby McGee camly telling Munn to move her head and keep her hands up, “Dis goil is outta control … let her burn herself out … she’ll have nuthin’ left”. Pausini shipping leather with both hands … left right for the head but Munn slipping and dipping … left hook to the body , Munn drop elbow to catch it … Pausini seemingly oblivious to the fact that she is throwing punches in bunches but not scoring … not even back Munn up! Munn occasionally out of her shell with a little cuffing left hook to the cheek or to slip uppercut right between Laura's mitts. Fiery Italian shove smirking Munn back at the bell … Munn taunting “That all you got? That all you got?” Most ringsiders give round to Pausini but a lot of shaking heads over the tactics.

Round 3: Munn now marching on Pausini! Slight side to side bob to give Italian a tough target, then hammers flanks with left right combo. Laura fires back with straight right which grazes scalp of ducking Munnster, who erupts out of crouch with a left hook that puts a shimmy in the older woman’s legs! Munn follows with right hand lead which bangs forehead and drives Pausini back into the ropes and set up shop. Ollie with forehead on Laura’s chest and just moving the hands … left to ribs, right up the middle to sternum, cuffing little right to jaw … Pausini looks to spin out but manhandled back! Left to the liver and then back up to the jaw and Italian sags … trying to tie up … Oklahoman with a savage little grin as she pounds the last reserves out of Pausini! At bell, Laura ashen faced and wobbly legged as she makes way back to stool.

Round 4: Pausini off stool, looking creaky and tentative … and the Munnster smells blood in the water! Munn jabs .. jabs … feigns jab and throws straight right hand that knocks Pausini flat on her back. Count at three and she rises to her elbows … and no farther. Count passes and its all over … winner by knockout in the fourth round … Olivia “The Munnster” Munn!

Post fight: Munn irreverent as ever, Yeah, I’m okay with the nights work - I got some work in and knocked out a bum in four rounds. Hey, Sceej … memo to management? I’m all the way back - get me some competition!”
