Intro:
We kick off the fourth round of this years inaugural Diamond Boxing tournament with Romee Strijd and Bridget Regan both looking to impress, we are in the Dallas Cowboy's AT&T Stadium.

So far in the tournament for Romee she has had one win out of three fights, it has to be said though that two of those fights were against the current top two in the tournament rankings in Camille Kostek and Karen Gillan, pundits are starting to see the qualities of the Dutch model with her performances so far.

Before the fight she sat in front of the camera as she has for each of these fights before, this time sitting wearing a white blouse and blue denim jeans, her beautiful smile hasn't gone away even after the two set backs, instead she looks excited for more action.

"I am glad to have the two favourites out the way haha, beating Damaris has given me some confidence going forwards as you don't just beat the BBU champion that easily, this tournament has allowed me to get in the rounds I needed, now it's time I push forwards through the rest of the field" Romee says as she continues to smile.

Romee adds "Bridget is my next opponent and honestly this was a fight I dreamed of, she is truly a legend around here, I will admit that it has been hard watching her get crushed repeatedly, I am not going to comment on her future, other then to state while I respect you Bridget, there won't be any holding back off me, you better show up in the right frame of mind or I'll be the latest to smash you down" a more serious look on Romee's face as she stares down the camera to make her point, smiling again before she heads off with a wave to the camera.

This tournament for Regan has been the polar opposite, Bridget was supposed to use this tournament to show she still has it, instead she comes into this fight without a win after being brutally knocked out by Antje Utgaard, Bo Krsmanovic and Danielle Herrington.

Bridget was supposed to give an interview too, instead as the day came; Bridget didn't show up, instead she sent a video of her own showing her training hard in a black sports bra and tight yoga pants, doing press ups, weights and some sparring.

Near the end of the video as sweat drips off Bridget's brow from sparring, she leans over the ropes to tell the camera "you all think I am done, wait till I step in the ring with Romee" tossing her gloves off as she turns her back to the camera.

Fighting time, out first comes Romee with her coach Melanie Brown, she gets a warm welcome as she heads down the red carpet laid down for tonight, waving to the fans as she looks in as good a mood here as she did in front of the camera.

Her orange silk robe comes off before she steps into the ring, revealing an orange sports bra with white trim, matching trunks and shoes, white gloves, as her hair is tied back into a braid, pumping her right fist into the air as she jogs to her corner, Mel rubbing her shoulders to keep her loose.

Bridget steps out onto the red carpet now with eyes on the ring, she gets some loud chants from her fans as coach Moon Bloodgood follows her, Bridget though looks fully focused as she doesn't want another defeat to prove the critics right.

Climbing through the ropes, Bridget is bouncing on her toes in her corner with her eyes firmly on Romee, her attire tonight is a white sports bra with a black waistband, her surname written on the waistband in white letters, white shoes, black gloves, while her hair is in a ponytail.

Coming together at the center of the ring, both fighters stare hard into the others eyes, neither blinking as Romee shows Bridget she has lost that fear factor, Bridget showing a little of her black gumshield as she looks in the mood to smash Romee tonight.

Told to touch up their gloves, there's a crack of leather as neither holds back, nodding to their opponent as if to say "you are on" as they look tense, back into their corners with fists raised, the referee signals for the bell to begin ten rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Kicking off behind their jabs, Romee looking the lighter on her toes in the early exchanges, moving more side to side as she looks to create some openings to work from, Bridget more focused on keeping her guard tight, throwing in a few straights aimed at the body of the younger woman.

Trying to close the gap when she finds an opening, Bridget steps in with a right cross that just scrapes it's target as Romee dances back, a left cross catches the veteran to the side of her head to make her move back, Romee showing her hand speed to land a one-two into the face of Regan.

Who looks to be getting annoyed as she tries to close that distance, getting clipped to the sides of her head when she does move in closer, while Romee seems focused on the body of the Dutch fighter to slow her down.

In the final forty seconds Bridget has her best moment of the round, landing a chopping left cross to the jaw of her opponent, she presses her to the ropes where she lands several hard hooks to the body to make Romee grunt out.

At the bell Bridget nods to Moon as she knows that she started too slowly there, the coach reminding her how good she looked at the end there, across the ring Romee looks relaxed as she takes a drink, eyeing up Bridget with a smile as she seems confident.

Round 2:
Coming back together around the center of the ring, both women throwing snapping jabs into spaces in their opponent's defence, Romee tries to step in with a straight that Bridget parries, AN UPPERCUT THEN SURPRISES STRIJD, KNOCKING HER DOWN TO HER BACKSIDE!

Everyone at ringside is shocked as Bridget shows some of her legendary skills there, 1...2...3... Romee pushes to her right knee as she doesn't look too hurt, 4...5...6.. Nodding to the referee as if to say "that was dumb" 7...8.. Getting up with a bang of her gloves together, Romee nods to the referee that she wants to continue.

The fighters come back together with surprisingly Romee being the one taking the fight to Bridget, trying to earn her respect as they trade hard shots, Romee landing more in bunches as Bridget seems more to be focused on her big hooks, not landing as cleanly as she wants.

Moving back out the way of a right hook, Romee then steps in with a left cross/straight combo that knocks back Regan to the outside of the ring, a minute to go in the round and it is the Lioness fighter who is actually on top.

When the round ends after a hard exchange, Romee looks more focused now, maybe letting her guard down there, Bridget meanwhile looks frustrated even after scoring the knockdown, maybe wondering why she could keep on top of things, Moon telling her to relax and just focus on putting her punches together like she can.

Round 3:
It is a slightly more tentative start from both as a few feints come in by both women, Romee not wanting to make the same mistake, is boxing nicely on the outside, keeping Bridget at bay from getting in another flush counter punch like the last round.

Trying to close that gap by dipping down, Regan misses with the straight as she takes a right across her temple that looks to wobble her, the chin of Bridget now being tested as Romee lands in three straight punches to her face to reel her backwards to the ropes.

Holding onto her opponent to stop her landing more flush punches, for really the first time in her career; Bridget looks worried! The referee needing to step in as Bridget won't let go so easily as she tries to shake the cobwebs away.

Moving around the ring as Romee hunts her down behind her jab, Mel is yelling at her fighter to up the tempo, maybe showing the legend too much respect as she isn't landing any real power punches, just working Regan around the ring.

The round ends with Bridget sitting on her stool, Moon yelling at her to not get spooked by what happened, Bridget nodding as she looks at her friend and trainer, Romee is listening to her coach as Mel is telling her to take out Bridget, no just pushing her around, Mel wants to see the dynamite in her fists go off here.

Round 4:
Trying to box more off the back foot as they move around the ring, Bridget is getting picked off through her guard by the straights of Romee, who lands a left hook on the jaw of Bridget, THEN A RIGHT HOOK SENDS BRIDGET SPRAWLING TO HER RIGHT SIDE ON THE CANVAS!

Wow! The tables have definitely turned here, 1...2...3... Bridget punching the canvas as she moves to all fours, 4...5...6.. Grabbing for the ropes with her right hand, Bridget starts to pull herself up, 7...8.. There's a slight wobble but Regan is up, saying she wants to keep going.

Romee is happy to do so herself as they come together, to her credit Bridget is throwing away but the power seems to be gone, an uppercut sends her reeling into the ropes, REFEREE HAS SEEN ENOUGH AS BRIDGET PROTESTS, HER LEGS ARE SHAKY AND THE FIGHT IS OVER!

Winner Romee Strijd KO Round 4

After:
Romee's tournament record now moves up to fifty percent win rate, she goes straight over to Bridget, who looks down at the canvas as she shakes her head in disbelief, thinking it was an early stoppage, even after being hurt through round three and twice in four.

Bridget holds her hands up to Romee to say leave me along, sulking back to her corner as Strijd simply nods, not wanting to make Regan feel any worse by pushing it, Moon looks a little stunned by how her friend is acting, looking at her dismayed as Bridget slumps onto her stool.

"Bridget you gave it a good try but tonight wasn't your night" says Moon as Bridget looks up upset at her, shaking her head as she replies "the referee stopped it early, I was still punching" leading to the friends debating if that is true.

Across the ring things are much more happier, Romee gets a big hug from Mel, who tells her "that was great tonight, while the title might be beyond us right now but you keep putting in these performances, you are going to be in that elite argument" Romee enjoying hearing that.

After both are cleaned up the come to the center of the ring for the final result to be announced, Bridget seems to have calmed down as she applauds Romee getting her hand raised, pointing at Romee after as she tells her "you have a bright future" Romee nodding with a smile her thanks at the kind words.

Stepping out the ring with Moon, Bridget puts her left arm around her shoulders look apologetic, the cracks though seem to be running right through the legend, maybe the rest of this tournament is now her last stand in the elite ranks, fans hoping she gets a win to not end up a punching bag to these new stars.

In the ring Romee pumps her right fist in the air as she does a lap inside the ring, enjoying the cheers as her fans are standing up, Mel smiling as she seems to really enjoy working with the humble model.

Stepping out the ring themselves, Romee looks to have a bright future if she can find that marquee victory against one of today's elite, beating Bridget is a hell of a name to have on the CV as she moves forwards in this tournament.
