Intro:
Second bout of the fourth round of the Diamond Boxing tournament, the AT&T stadium sees Danielle Herrington and Antje Utgaard both trying to improve their records here, with maybe still an outside bet they could win this event.

Going into this tournament Danielle was undefeated, since then she has only won one fight this year, beating Bridget Regan to get her first win in the tournament, her performances have been pretty good though with BBU welterweight champion Damaris Lewis, Karen Gillan and Amanda Righetti being the three to beat her, certainly not a list to turn your nose up at.

Danielle sat in front of the camera for her interview before the match, wearing a black T-shirt with her stables badge on the front with black denim jeans, she looks in a thoughtful mood as she has her hands on top of her legs.

"I can't complain much about people saying I have been fighting well this year, nobody has told me I have been fighting badly and even some tell me I am actually going to be a star, that is all well and good but I need to win fights" says the stunning black model as she takes a breath.

"So I need to ignore all the media and focus on winning, Antje is in my way next and frankly Antje I am not too worried by you, all you are is a power puncher that has believed your own hype, I don't want to become you" standing up when she finishes her speech with a hard look on her face, wanting to prove herself as an elite fighter and not just hype.

Antje meanwhile comes onto the set wearing a light blue dress, she sits on the stool not looking in a good mood, you can't blame her as she came into the tournament as one of the two favourites, instead she has only won one in her three fights, beating Bridget Regan but losing to her rival Camille Kostek, then Bo Krsmanovic knocked her out cold in her last tournament fight.

"This was supposed to be my tournament, instead I am looking at that cow Camille and Karen leading the way" Antje shakes her head before taking a deep breath as she looks like she has fire in her eyes over those facts.

"Now I get you Danielle, I keep hearing how you are a future star in the making, let me be frank! You are nothing but the new favourite that I will happily show up in the ring, you won't beat me and then you'll be left wondering where all that noise has went, trust me I know how it feels" Antje finishes up before storming off the set with the stool knocked over.

Fight night, first out onto the red carpet to the ring is Danielle with coach Jeri Ryan following her, Danielle holds her gloves together in front of her chest as she looks in the zone already.

Jogging up the ring steps and climbing through the ropes, Danielle is wearing a navy blue sports bra with yellow trim, navy trunks with yellow stripes down the sides, matching boots, blue gloves, her hair is tied into a fighting ponytail, shadow boxing in her corner as Jeri is smiling behind her.

Antje now steps out to loud cheers, she bangs her red gloves together, eyes narrowed as she heads down the aisle with Kelly Hu following her, Antje looking in the mood for a knockout judging by the cracks from her gloves.

Sliding through the ropes, Antje is wearing a red sports bra with three white stripes down the sides, matching trunks and shoes, her hair is braided, pacing in her corner side to side as she stares across the ring at her opponent.

The referee waves the women together at the middle, they go nose to nose as neither fears the other clearly, no words exchanged but the tension is clear to see as most in the crowd quiet down to watch what happens.

Neither does anything beyond that, when told to touch gloves it is a quick swipe from both women, jogging back to their corners to loud cheers, the referee gets nods from the fighters to say they are ready, the bell then rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
At the bell Danielle gets a bit of a surprise as she finds Antje right in her chest, landing two cross punches that turn her head, Antje clearly wanting to prove a point as she backs her opponent onto the ropes within the first thirty seconds.

Pushing Antje back so she can move off the ropes, Danielle looks a little spooked as she throws a few jabs, she is looking tense though as Antje keeps in her face, drilling in some body shots now to make Herrington groan out.

A left cross turns Danielle's head, making her hold on to her opponent when Antje is banging her to the face with straight punches, there's a hint of worry on Danielle's face as she looks over to her corner, referee needing to step in to split them up.

Antje continues to be the aggressor, Danielle shielding and retreating around the ring, some in the crowd stunned by how easily Utgaard is bullying her opponent around the ring in this first round, keeping her pressed near the ropes as it is basically one way traffic.

The round ends with a shut out for Antje, she looks like she really means business here as she returns to her corner, Danielle getting a stern telling off by Jeri, the GBS fighter nodding as she knows it will be a very short night if she let's that happen again.

Round 2:
This time Herrington is ready for the charge, boxing off her back foot as she doesn't look like a deer in the headlights like the last round, throwing her piston like jab through the open mitts of her opponent into her face.

Antje manages to land a jab/right cross combo herself when she cuts off the ring, she looks on top form judging by how she pins back Danielle into a corner, swinging in her hooks till Herrington has to hold onto her, forcing the referee to split them up.

As the round continues it is Danielle getting stronger, throwing more one-two combos into the chasing Antje's face, while Antje is now predominantly just landing single punches, not able to really trap the more mobile fighter as easily now.

Leading to Danielle sidestepping a straight by Utgaard, then clubbing her across the face with two right crosses, then moving out the way of a big right haymaker by Antje, who doesn't look happy at being outboxed like this.

At the end of this round the worry seems to be gone for Herrington, she returns to her corner talking to Jeri about what she still needs to fix, Kelly meanwhile is telling Antje to be smarter when trying to pin down such a mobile fighter.

Round 3:
Throwing her jab more to gauge the range, Antje is looking a little more composed then the last round, both women trading stiff jabs as Danielle continues to happily give up ground looking for counter punches.

Feinting to open up Danielle, Antje catches her with an uppercut that rocks back the stunning black fighter onto her heels, Antje powering her back into a corner, where Danielle has to try soaking up the pressure on her guard, some punches find a home on toned abs or on her cheeks.

Pushing Antje so she can get out the corner, Danielle becomes more active with her combos, landing some stunning flush shots to the gorgeous face of Utgaard, who is landing jabs to the chest and body of Danielle as she tries to pin her down.

An overhand right catches Danielle to the side of her head, there's a slight stumble from Danielle, who nearly gets shoved through the ropes as Antje bulldozes her backwards, working the body as she dips her head down into the face of Herrington.

When the bell rings Antje yells "come on!" To her supporters, she definitely is fired up to make a point tonight, Kelly looking pleased at that fact as she rubs her fighters shoulders, Danielle crushing herself as she doesn't need Jeri to tell her that was a terrible round for her.

Round 4:
Danielle plants her feet a little more earlier on, trading with the heavy handed Antje to try to earn her respect, when she feels that raw power of the blonde, Danielle has to back off as her nose starts to trickle blood.

On comes Antje, not bothered by her cheeks reddening up, the bullying fighter is only interested in crowding her opponent, forcing the action with Herrington near the ropes as she has been the Queen of this castle so far.

Looking a little sloppy as that pressure seems to be getting to her, Danielle is getting caught with some bigger shots, forcing her to clinch up when a left/right cross combo smacks across her jaw with sweat flying off her, referee again needed to reset the fighters after pulling them apart.

In the final minute Danielle seems to have regained her composure as she works behind her jab again, busting the nose of Antje with a right cross that looks to have really stung judging by the expression of Utgaard.

At the rounds end Danielle nods to her coach as her left cheek is looking a little puffy, knowing she can't take too many big hits or her lights will be switched off, Antje meanwhile is glistening with sweat, Kelly wiping her down as the cut man works on her nose, Antje looking the much more happier of the two fighters right now.

Round 5:
Looking to just keep doing what has been successful, Antje presses early into Danielle, working the body as she gets her near a corner, till Danielle uses her left to shove Antje to the face, then escape back into space.

As Antje looks to come at her again, Danielle is starting to use a double and even triple jab to ward off her opponent, drilling it square onto the nose of the Fighting Academy lass to cause it to bleed more heavily this time.

As Antje is working it is clear Danielle is getting her mojo back, Antje not landing as cleanly as Danielle is up on her toes with a punch ready to stuff into the face of Utgaard to knock her back a step, making Antje work harder to get in tight to work away.

Going into the final minute, Danielle leans out the way of a left hook, coming back with an uppercut that knocks back Antje two steps as her head snaps back, suddenly Herrington sees her chance to really lay down some firepower of her own, bashing Antje with four punches square into her face as she pistons in her lefts and rights one after the other.

Onto the ropes goes Antje trying to cover up, hooks start to come in now as Danielle has firmly turned the tables on her, the round comes to an end with Danielle raising her right fist into the air as she returns to her corner, knowing she got this round under her belt after several bad ones.

Across the ring on her stool Antje looks a little bit a mess now, blood drips from her nose to her famous rack, her left eye is swollen half shut, Kelly looks stunned as her crew work hard on Antje, trying to get her ready for the next round and beyond.

Round 6:
Stepping out her corner more assured, Danielle is right there to smack Antje with her double jab, the firmly composed Antje is now looking a little worried to say the least, trying to catch Danielle with a big hook that is easily spotted repeatedly.

A double jab is followed by a right hook around the temple of Antje, the legs are starting to go on the powerhouse! A LEFT HOOK LANDS ON THE BUTTON TO SEND UTGAARD DOWN ONTO HER BACK WITH THE CROWD STANDING TO CHEER!

Antje looks a little glassy eyed as she looks up at the lights, 1...2...3...4.. Barely moving as her right leg bends, 5...6...7.. Slowly pushing to her left side, blood drips from Antje's nose to the canvas, 8...9...10 where she lays till she is counted out!

Winner Danielle Herrington KO Round 6

After:
This has got to go down as an upset, especially with how the fight was going till the fifth round, where Danielle was able to turn things around to get the win, one she celebrates by mounting the bottom ropes of her corner pounding her chest with her right glove as her supporters are on their feet going wild.

Rushing into the ring is Kelly as the cut man brings her stool, helping Antje slowly onto her stool, Kelly is working on her nose as she checks to see if Antje is dazed or worse, luckily Antje seems OK as she apologizes to Kelly for losing this one, looking depressed that she lost again.

Looking over at Danielle, Antje is looking upset as she fights back tears, knowing in her heart she had chances to win this fight but blew it badly, all the pressure of the hype surrounding her going into this tournament seems to have really gotten to her, another loss has to be a hell of a sting in her heart.

Helped up after her nose stops bleeding, Antje waves to her fans but decides to leave the ring, not wanting to see Danielle get her hand raised, more interested in getting out of here before she breaks down into tears, Kelly tries consoling her as they head up the aisle to the back.

Left in the ring is Danielle, who is smiling more widely then maybe she has in her entire career so far, this arguably her biggest win as she heads to the middle of the ring to make it official, referee raising her right hand to loud cheers, the growing fan base of Herrington shown by this crowds reaction.

Stepping to each corner, Danielle blows kisses to her fans as Jeri applauds her, they embrace at the center of the ring, Danielle thanking Jeri for helping her through this tough period as now she seems back on the road to the top.

Climbing out the ring with Jeri, Danielle was seen by some as the weakest in the field, already she is starting to break down those assumptions as she knocks out top fighters, is she a future champion in the making?
