BEFORE: "It's all Vicky Pattison's fault!", reigning champion Charlotte Church answers BBU TV's Denise van Outen when asked why she waited six months to finally defend her bantamweight title. "I was ready to fight this Geordie slag a long time ago but she was busy collecting appearance fees in USA and then was actually dumb enough to lose to Daisy Ridley! I mean, what gives, bytch? Kiss that title challenge goodbye! (...) Thankfully the Romanian Invasion is much better to work with! Guess they were over the moon when I had Kate Garraway call them? Alexandra is a hot little blonde and I hope she looks great on the event poster! Of course she won't even come close to unseating me from the throne but she deserves her shot unlike that silly cow Pattison!"

The Romanian entourage comes in fresh from sweeping the local Dynamite Fight Night last Friday but that was only a dress rehearsal before tonight's showdown. Alexandra realizes she wasn't the champion's first option but vows to make the most of this opportunity. Only one person can become the stable's inaugural champion and with Alina Vacariu making welterweight noise, Alexandra might not be granted another shot like this to achieve the historical feat.

Charlotte Church wears a red crop top, matching hip-huggers & white gloves. Shoulder lenght auburn brown hair straight. Alexandra Stan wears a light crop top with black trim, matching hotpants & yellow gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a braid. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Charlotte did all the pre-fight talking but it's Alexandra who lets her mitts talk early in the first as she clobbers the champion up the middle and secures a very easy path to snap her head around. Charlotte gets caught by the shear volume of the blonde's punches and yields real estate instead of lashing out in true counter-style response. This only fuels Alexandra's efforts and she traps the subdued champion on the ropes before plugging some leather into her jugs as well. Church gets stuffed on the turnbuckle for good and rifles a single-hand response here and there but fails to stop the Romanian's rout until she clinches the fellow singer out of pure desperation late in the going.

Round 2:
Alexandra remains on top of the jabbing game early in the second but Charlotte shakes off the heat and begins to bust the challenger up downstairs. Alexandra stays in the aggressive lane until she gets whacked on the stomach too often for comfort and assumes the mid-range stance which allows her to avoid further damage. However she also loses the slugging grip and enables the Welsh singer to stick in a meaningful response in the second half of the round which is not what any challenger should do at this stage. No wonder the Invasion coach Corina Caragea is furious at the bell.

Round 3:
Alexandra finds more success slicing the Welsh high-guard in the opening minute as Charlotte takes it easy and hangs back allowing the fellow singer to empty her tank. This is a high-risk tactics and Church gets caught by a left/right combo on each temple which drops her into coverage and allows Stan to pound her onto the ropes thereafter. Now it's time for the slugging response... too late as the blonde shuts the champion down in the corner and blitzes her up the middle which leaves Charlotte nursing a swollen lowe lip come the bell.

Round 4:
The see-saw action continues with Alexandra working upstairs to extend the swelling on Charlie's lips but she gets caught from the inside and tackled to the body in vicious fashion. Charlotte belts her right up the belly button and cripples her into spasms which leads into a lenghty clinching stalemate in the second minute as the Romanian singer appears to be hurting. Charlotte bullies her onto the turnbuckle and keeps ripping more harpoons down in the area before she chops a hooking double on the boobs and leaves the challenger gasping for air at the bell.

Round 5:
Charlotte gets aggressive with her body assault but misjudges Alexandra's overhand swing and eats a brutal hook across the nose before the challenger smacks her on each temple as well. Church fails to respond down in the hole and slumps on her heels while the blonde woman SMOKES her with a left hook on the nose that sends the champion CRASHING DOWN on her side!!! Uh-oh!!! Alexandra has struck jackpot again and believes that punch will crown her as the inaugural... oh, wait... Charlotte is UP on her feet at seven and waves her glove at the blonde foe: "Not so fast, tramp!" so we have to resume the action... and Alexandra fails to clean up the pieces as she jumps in too hot and gets blasted on the chest with Charlie swinging her mitts all over town to keep the Romanian babe at bay for remainder of the round.

Round 6:
Alexandra is ready to deliver the killer blow and strip the fellow singer off her title but Charlotte matches the challenger for pace and avoids immediate damage while duking it out in classic phone booth stance before checking out to force Stan into a hassling delay. Alexandra gets all the style points available but she can't close the Welsh girl down and runs out of steam before she can trap her along the ropes again. Charlie's duck & weave affair earns her some thumbs down signals from the virtual fan wall but she tells coach Mel B. "I know what's I'm doing here" during the break and it's kinda hard to argue with such confident approach.. for the time being!

Round 7:
Alexandra pummels through the high-guard again but eats a harpoon stinger on the liver area that allows Church to halt her progress before booming a right hook on the jaw. The Romanian challenger decides not to stall the action and jumps into the slugging lane but the Welsh singer clatters her on the rack and secures a superior delivery right where it hurts the blonde the most. Alexandra wilts under the jug muggin' pressure and takes off towards the ropes but she trips over her own feet and gets pancaked by the charging rival anyway. Charlotte gets ultra-aggressive pounding away into the blonde's body and completes the powerful drive with an uppercut double that sends the Romanian sideways just before the bell. Another right hand crashes into Alexandra's nose moments later and she cries out in pain as coach Caragea looks extremely upset indeed.

Round 8:
Charlotte lashes out into the blonde's face and cripples her with a booming right hand on the nose before connecting with equally vicious uppercut on the chin. Alexandra tries to fire back over the top but bounces off the top of Church's forehead before getting caught by another wild hook on the nose. Ugh! She sinks on her heels and doesn't react fast enough as the champion SMOKES her with a nasty hook on the left ear... uh-oh... Alexandra goes limp and wobbles forward to meet another brutal uppercut on the jaw that SENDS HER FACE-FIRST onto the canvas moments later!!! And it's a bad one here as the challenger remains down on the boards in spread eagle fashion unable to make a genuine comeback anymore... NINE... TEN... YER OUT!!! Epic come-from-behind KO8 and STILL the BBU bantamweight champion Charlotte Church!!!

AFTER: One might argue Charlotte had no business defending the straps as she fell on the cards early and Alexandra had everything served on a plate to finish her off and claim the title in only her fourth BBU fight ever! Alas it was not to be and Corina Caragea and her crew will be kicking themselves for wasting such a golden opportunity to secure the inaugural piece of silverware in stable's history. This could put even more pressure on Alina Vacariu's upcoming clash versus Elsa Benitez indeed.

Meanwhile Charlotte indicates she will defend her other BBU title next month so the jug muggin' procedure she issued on Alexandra was a mere preview: "Everything goes and it worked well as she wasn't ready for that! Guess she didn't watch me pound this Lamborghini slag either? There's a good chance I'll be racking up these high-flying newbies all around as a certain German cow gets too much attention lately... but I'll defend my golden bra first... no surprise it's one of these glamour models who gets the call but I won't reveal the details yet! I'll let my manager handle the official announcement."
