Intro:
We kick off tonight's action on Copacabana Beach in Rio De Janeiro, Lily Aldridge and Irina Shayk putting on their best bikinis to go at it, it's especially an important day for Lily as her best friend Alessandra Ambrosio is retiring today, can she be fully focused on this fight or be thinking about her friend?

Career wise these two have had polar opposite success in the ring, Lily has won her last two fights as she looks to build up into contender status, Irina meanwhile has to go back to 2017 for her last win, her career in the ring hasn't been stellar to say the least.

Before the bout both women were given a chance to speak their minds on video, first up was Lily as she sits on her bed in the hotel room wearing a white fluffy dressing gown, smiling as she waves to her fans.

"First I want to send my love to Alessandra and thank her for letting me be part of her retirement event, me and her have been like sisters over the past decade through our time modeling for Victoria Secret, yes we have exchanged blows in the ring and maybe a few outside the ring haha, but I am lucky to know you" Lily says as she blows a kiss to the camera.

Then she gets a little more serious looking as she then says "now to Irina, look I've known you a while too and definitely can't say I particularly care for you as much, this will be a good workout for me before I go toast my best friend at the after party" reaching to switch the camera off as it gets a brief glimpse on Lily's lack of clothing under the robe.

Irina meanwhile is working out at the gym, punching and even kicking a punch bag in a red sports bra, matching Thai boxing style trunks and black gloves, wiping sweat from her brow as her coach holds the camera for her.

Turning to it, Irina tells the camera "I know I am supposed to say something heartfelt to Alessandra, honestly she can go f*** herself all I care, she was too scared to fight me, she can go lay on a beach getting a tan for all I care" safe to say she isn't endearing herself to the locals with that statement.

Hitting the bag with a straight, Irina turns her head to her left side to look at the camera with a menacing expression, saying "Lily you might think I am some easy victory to pad your record, I can't wait to kick sand in your ugly face after I knock you out" going back to work on the bag as she is looking in the mood to improve her record.

Fighting time, the ring posts are placed into the sand itself, bleachers are around the ring area for a select crowd, only the judges table and the time keepers table is ringside as the doctor sits nearby in case they are needed.

First onto the beach steps Lily with coach Mel B, the stunning American model is wearing a turquoise bikini with matching gloves, her hair is braided as she walks around the ring, getting loud cheers as being Alessandra's bestie will certainly help her get the crowd onside.

Getting inside the ring, Lily gives the fans a quick bow before heading to her corner, where she shadow boxes as Mel is telling her not to worry about Alessandra tonight, this is about her getting another win on the board.

Now on steps Irina to boos, she doesn't bat an eye to them as she struts to the ring with her coach behind her, wearing a Russian flag pattern bikini bottoms, navy blue top, red gloves, while her hair is tied into a ponytail.

She slides through the ropes into the ring with eyes locked onto Lily, banging her gloves together as she bounces on her toes, her coach whispering something into her left ear as she nods.

The referee waves the fighters together to the middle of the ring, going chest to chest as they look into each others eyes, these two clearly don't have any look for their opponent judging by how harsh these looks are.

Once the referee is done with their instructions, they tell the fighters to bump gloves, when Lily puts hers out Irina slams her down on them, Lily asking "oh that's how it is?" As Irina simply nods, they return to their corners as Lily gets the most amount of chanting fans, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
Both start on their toes kicking up sand as they dance around each other, thrusting their jabs into gaps they see as both are looking for an opening to land something big to establish control of the fight.

Irina the first to try as she takes a swing with a right hook Lily sees coming, the American moving out of range as she dances to the side tapping her chin to taunt the beautiful Russian.

Next time Irina looks to close the gap, she gets a double jab onto her chin as Lily looks confident she can out box the taller woman, on the first half of this round it is hard to disagree as she starts to land more punches in bunches, stepping in closer to work then moving out to range almost at will.

It takes Irina landing a jab to the forehead of Lily for her to be able to land her first power punch, a right cross lands on the jaw of Aldridge to turn her head as Shayk starts to put her punches together.

The action is more evenly fought now Irina has settled down, both landing crisp punches into cheeks as they box at range, Irina still looking for a hook though that just doesn't find it's target when she throws.

At the bell Irina is told by her coach to not be so on edge, getting a glare from the beautiful model, Lily meanwhile gets a pat on her shoulder by Mel, who gives her a drink from her water bottle as she tells Lily to keep on the move, don't get bogged down in the sand.

Round 2:
Thudding her gloves together before she steps out her corner, Irina has her eyes narrowed as she is looking to hunt down Lily, who is still bugging her with some stiff jabs to the breadbasket as Lily seems to have her range down.

Timing Aldridge coming in better, Shayk lands a left across the top of her head, then a straight follows into the nose of Lily, making the Lioness step back as Irina steps after her with vengeance in her eyes for the way she dominated the first round.

Backing Lily onto the ropes with as much nudges as actual punches landing, Irina is swinging in some meaty hooks around the guard of Aldridge, getting some groans from her opponent when she is able to land flush.

Lily is still landing several clean shots to the abs of Irina out her guard, but she is being smothered by the work coming from the Russian, who is finding more holes in Lily's defence as she pounds away at it.

When the round ends Irina calls Lily something rude in her native tongue, while Lily doesn't know what exactly it is, she scowls as she can guess the meaning, both return to their corners with eyes locked across the ring as tempers are rising.

Round 3:
Jabbing exchanges dominate the opening thirty seconds, Lily looking good when she slips punches to bang in some meaty hooks to the body, getting shoved back by the taller Irina to get the distance back where the Russian wants it.

A double jab catches Lily on top of her head as she tries to dip down to move in closer, Irina stepping in with a one-two punch combo to further knock her smaller opponent back, taking the center of the ring soon after.

While Lily is still able to move inside to work, Irina is mostly dominating the action by keeping Lily on the outside, landing more flush straight punches into her face to make Lily have to think about her attacks more, the crowds boos are not distracting Shayk one bit as she just keeps working at this deliberate pace.

Getting in closer to whack in two hooks to the body that make Irina hiss, Lily starts to make some ground as she muscles back Irina a few steps, sticking to the body as she is getting her most success there.

But as they enter the final moments of the round, Irina smartly turns them around by giving Lily a shove to the back of her head, then slams in two uppercuts that sends Aldridge's head back, Lily needing to clinch up as she definitely didn't enjoy those punches.

Referee needing to break them up at the bell as Irina almost looks to be trying to shove Lily through the top and middle rope out the ring, getting warned to keep to the rules as Irina angrily stomps back to her corner, Lily getting told off by her coach for letting Irina into this fight.

Round 4:
Things don't exactly start great for Lily, Irina landing a crisp one-two combo out the gates to her face, pushing back Lily as they trade, the cleaner punches coming from Shayk as she seems zoned in now on her opponent.

The head of Lily is being knocked back by the more pinpoint punches coming from Irina, who maybe lacks the power to really push this advantage, Lily might disagree as she covers up more tightly.

Melanie not looking pleased as she yells at Aldridge to get back into this fight, Irina simply bullying her around the ring with punches thudding off her gloves or forearms, but not much landing cleanly.

Less then a minute to go and Lily finally strikes, ducking under a straight to step inside with an overhand left that lands flush on the chin of Irina, who stumbles back a step as Lily now barrels into her, driving her into a corner as she tears away at that toned tummy of Shayk.

Pushing back Lily to create some space, Irina can't get herself out the corner as Lily seems to have found another gear now, at the bell Lily raises her arms in the air to loud cheers as she jogs to her corner, Irina not pleased as she returns to her own, hard to tell who won the round as Irina dominated the opening two minutes but was blasted back at the end.

Round 5:
It looks like Lily has gotten out of first gear now, landing more punches on the inside as she dodges the punches coming from her opponent, Irina getting her head turned around by some hard overhand punches, along with her stomach being beaten like a punch bag.

Now it's Shayk boxing around the ring, Aldridge firmly at the center as they box behind jabs, Irina looking annoyed as she can't get back to where she wants to be, doubling up her jab isn't helping as she hoped as she is only clipping the American's cheeks.

Again another overhand left causes havoc for Irina, it cracks her across the cheek as Lily gets in tighter, piston like punches ripping the air out of that beautiful body of the Russian, who is starting to sag under the pressure, hanging onto Lily to stop the assault.

As they are broken apart, Irina is struggling to hold off Lily now, leading to her bum behind pressed into the middle rope repeatedly, a pained expression on her face as her once proud abs look to be wilting under the attack from her opponent.

At the bell Irina looks grateful for an icepack on her abs, breathing harder as Lily has really taken the wind out her sails, the crowd chanting Lily's name as she smiles, Melanie telling her she can smile when the job is done, making Aldridge nod as she knows she is right.

Round 6:
What power Irina had on her punches seems a distant memory as Lily is walking through them, parrying some while taking others flush as she looks to cut off the ring, drilling several punches into the chest of Shayk to make her wince.

A left cross catches Irina to her chin, leaving her open to more body punches as Lily drives her into her own corner, PUNCH AFTER PUNCH LANDS FLUSH AS LILY ALMOST SEEMS TO BE PUNISHING IRINA FOR HER PREMATCH COMMENTS, TILL IRINA FALLS TO HER FRONT GROANING!

The chants of Aldridge ring out around them as Lily blows a kiss to the crowd on her way to the neutral corner, 1...2...3...4.. Irina turns slowly to her left side, 5...6...7.. Curling up slightly as she holds her stomach, beautiful face and body covered in sand, 8...9...10 it's over for Irina tonight!

Winner Lily Aldridge KO Round 6

After:
Lily not normally known for humiliating people seems to make a slight exception for Irina, heading over to her to nudge her with her right foot to her back, she grinds that foot into Irina's sore abs, telling her "you bad mouth me or my friends again and I will hurt you worse" stepping over Irina happy she has made her point, Lily returns to her corner to a loud roar from the crowd.

Irina on the other hand is glad to see her coaches face next as they put an icepack on her ravaged body to numb the pain, there's some tears running down Irina's cheeks to the sand, all her talk about proving herself tonight has been for nought, though she looked good through the middle rounds against a contender, nothing to be ashamed of there.

But as she sits up and sees Lily celebrating with her coach, Irina of course would prefer that to be her, instead she is gingerly helped up before being helped out the ring, not wanting to see more of Lily after this fight.

The winner on the other hand is rightly buzzing, she hugs Melanie as she thanks her for her support, Mel warning her not to get so lax next time, this was just a tune up for hitting the bigger fights in the beach boxing season.

Over to the referee heads Lily once her gloves are off and she has been washed down, beaming as she gets her right hand raised, blowing a kiss with her left to the fans as she can't help but be happy over another strong win in the end.

She heads to a camera as she jokes "now you better win Alessandra or I'll give you some bumps in the bar myself for your birthday" winking with her tongue sticking out, laughing as she walks away to leave the ring.

Another win on the board for Lily, who is building her momentum up, with the stacked lightweight division the question will be when will she strike on the bigger names, Lily seems on the cusp of being right in the mix.
