Gal Gadot vs Bar Refaeli

Gal:

Bar:
(35, 5’8, 15:26 FCBA, Free Agent)

BEFORE:
So here’s a match no one was expecting, but made sense to everyone once they heard about it: a battle for Israeli supremacy as Hollywood actress Gal Gadot faces off against veteran Sports Illustrated model Bar Refaeli. They’ve certainly been on each other’s radars for a while now, as evident from the cutting words exchanged during the pre-fight press conference:

“Didn’t Wonder Woman just lose to Emily DiDonato last year? Gal’s barely fought in the ring these past few years, so I’m wondering why Lookout! Boxing even keeps her around these days,” Bar first attacks her opponent’s credibility with a roll of the eyes. “And yet, Gal gets all the accolades, doesn’t she? First, a movie deal for the next Justice League, and now, apparently, she’s getting a couple of fights on VIX cards?”

“Sounds like someone’s a little jealous…” Gadot replies moments later, drawing laughter from the audience. “We all know how petty Bar can get - I remember her feuding with Brooklyn Decker back in the day because she didn’t get the cover model shot. Now, she’s mad at me for not fighting enough in the ring? And this is coming from someone who’s lost eight matches, in a row? There’s no doubt in my mind who’s the superior Israel fighter.”

Bar’s obviously not sitting well with those remarks, and the two ladies almost come to blows later on as they face each other down for the cameras. Bar and Gal both have the same height, but Refaeli is known to pack a little muscle in her broader, steadier frame, as blonde and brunette pose across from each other but then, are quickly separated in case they decide to turn words into action.

Later on in the ring, Gadot goes for a simple white sports bra with black linings, hot denim shorts and black gloves on either hand. Bar’s going for something similar: an amber bikini top with yellow stripes, denim hot shorts as well frayed high to reveal most of her thighs. She’s sporting red gloves for this contest. Referee waves for the bell and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
Gal, obviously the one who’s been more active, comes in hot to blast the Israeli model to the arms with sudden, unsparing shots. It’s clear that one girl has been training hard in the gym, and the other hasn’t as much, as Gadot treats Bar’s frame like her personal punching bag, sending combos in and out, in and out throughout the first minute, and only occasionally having to weave backwards to avoid a counterattack from Refaeli. Bar not liking this feeling of getting manhandled like this, lunges back at the actress with everything she’s got and manages to stun Gadot to the middle of her arms late with a straight cross followed quickly by a knocking right hook to the side of the head. But other than that, Bar takes more than a beating throughout this opening round, no question about that. Bell rings and she looks incredibly out of her depth, panting her way back to her corner, thinking if this was the best mode to stake her comeback tour on.

ROUND 2:
Gal, more agile on her feet as she sallies inwards, repeatedly stuns Bar to her model body with left and right combos before retreating back out of range. Bar however has the advantage of power on her side as she waits for the opportune moment to catch her foe with a hook to the body, another slammed into the arms to suddenly turn the tide in the middle mark. Gadot bounding backwards with a grunt, forced to cover up and swerve to avoid more direct hits to her head. Bar likewise giving chase but it’s still too early to pin her opponent down on the ropes, and the Sports Illustrated model simply runs out of her own stamina by the end of three minutes, most of her swings being turned into misses as Gadot switches back to the defensive stance.

ROUND 3:
Not so for the third, where Refaeli’s persistence pays off: Gadot is seen making unforced errors of her own by constantly moving in too close for comfort. She’s trying to whittle the blonde down by shocking her with quick one-two combos to the tummy and chest, the occasional straight hand sent bashing up into the chin or nose, but Bar has her own fire in her eyes as the bigger model keeps coming forwards, late in the round trapping Gadot with her back to the ropes and then pounding away on the leaner girl’s frame. No more superhero strength or agility to save her here as Gadot gets pounded on, gasps leaving her lips as another left hook catches her hard on the tummy, another right connecting to the chest is barely intercepted as Refaeli imposes her will on the more popular celebrity. Round ends and it’s Refaeli’s show through and through, with Gadot breathing hard as he shoves her back off the ropes, left scattered for the last seconds as she catches her breath and runs.

ROUND 4:
Constancy is king, however, as Bar finds herself quickly running out of breath as we head into the fourth, fending off a renewed assault from Gadot, who pummels the blonde with another clean shot to the middle of her chest in the fourth, then a right glove grazing the tummy to send the big blonde lurching backwards, in a daze. Gal mopping up the remainder, pestering the Bar from afar with jab after jab after jab poking and prodding at her arms and frame, Bar doing a decent enough job of hiding her chin in her guard but the rest of her body taking a shellacking. Bar spends the rest of the fourth finding her bearings, we assume, but she’s barely fighting back as is, letting Gadot push her around. Hopefully, the next round will be kinder to the swimsuit model, but for now, she’s left grunting on the ropes with a final blast to the face as Gadot wins via shutout.

ROUND 5:
But even then, Refaeli doesn’t fare that much better in the fifth, with Gadot resuming her blitz attack that involves plenty of punches to keep Bar on her big toes and running. Refaeli with barely any downtime or a breather as her opponent’s already sailing in hot to light up parts of her body that were left exposed. Gadot pushes herself forward, and that’s the telltale mark of a champion, as she crunches another stiff shot into Bar’s chin, blasting the Israeli model backwards and into the side of the ropes. Refaeli’s guard already quite shaky, now trying to intercept the multiple jabs and straight hands being slammed into her lean bod, bowling her over, Gadot finally putting her counterpart out of her misery with a lunging overhand between the temple, and THAT SEEMS TO HAVE DONE IT - Bar groans as she fades downwards, the impact of that haymaker driving her upper torso clean over the top rope, the rest of her body sagging on the spot as she COLLAPSES to her knees, then onto her back, lying there, completely KNOCKED OUT! The referee doesn’t bother with the ten-count, with the big blonde not moving an inch on her return approach! It’s OVER!!

AFTER:
Gal raises a hand in celebration, putting a skid to her losing ways most recently with a mighty win over Jessica Biel, and now coming out on top with another decisive win over Bar Refaeli as well. She’s conquered the best of Hollywood, and now the best of her own home country. What’s next for the gorgeous model and actress?

“Maybe that new girl, Eden, wants a go?” Gadot beams at reporters later on. “I’m back on the rise, don’t you worry - I’ve got another big match lined up by the end of this year, and truth me - this one’s gonna be a helluva crossover!”
