BEFORE: The Sirens' decision to release Melissa Satta remains a head-scratcher for the ages but the Italian-American vows to prove her former employer wrong - even if she has to accept undercard fights like this one tonight. Meanwhile Laura Barriales has some unfinished business with Italian opponents dating back to her May 2016 BBU debut when she was stopped by Miriam Leone in six rounds.

BBU TV's Denise van Outen wonders if Melissa can still hook up with a stable going forward or if she seeks big money free agent fights over in the FCBA instead. The Boston-born model remains tight-lipped over the matter and claims she only cares about knocking Laura's lights out for the time being.

Round 1:
Melissa wastes no time to stamp her authority on this fight and begins to rack up quick jabs up the middle which forces Laura to respond in similar fashion but the Italian's execution remains superior and allows her to slump the fellow brunette into an early discomfort. Laura tries to swing her response over the top but gets clubbed on the mouth several times and has to yield real estate which enables Satta to pounce on her in confident fashion. Barriales just can't land that big punch and keeps dancing on her toes until she runs out of room and gets pinned onto the ropes where Melissa slices her high-guard and connects with some easy head shots to run away with the scorecards.

Round 2:
More feisty attacks from the Italian model keep the Spaniard at bay; Melissa sticks to her head-hunting ideas and has Laura bouncing around on her toes but the proper response just doesn't materialize whatsoever. Easy going for the local favorite who maintains the mid-range supremacy but some fans would like to see her even more aggressive. Laura rips a single-hand counter but keeps bouncing off the forearms and has to yield real estate to avoid more damage; Satta still stuffs her in the corner come the final minute and drops a rare body harpoon to cripple Barriales into spasms come the bell.

Round 3:
Melissa gets more aggressive and lands some cruel hooks on each temple before Laura stuns the Italian model with a brutal uppercut rally on the chin. Melissa got stuck on concrete legs for a moment and pays a lofty price as the Spanish model jumps into a hectic uppercut blast that catches both the rack and the chin in quick order. Satta fails to swing back from her heels and eats a wicked left hook on the nose that wobbles her into spasms and has Laura pounding away in the proverbial phone booth... she pummels the fellow brunette onto the ropes and slams another hooking double on the mouth before a left hook on the chin spins Satta against the turnbuckle. Ugh! Laura hauls in more harpoons on the exposed midsection and leaves Melissa gasping for air in visible discomfort at the bell.

Round 4:
Laura seeks more success and slugs her way upstairs to snap Melissa's head back early in the fourth. She drops the jabbing hammer down and the Italian model can only clinch her instead of powering back in counter-punching fashion. Ugh! Laura shows some core strenght as she shoves Satta back but lacks the accurate connection in mid-distance and Melissa finds some wheels to escape the Spanish wrath. Laura tries to swamp the fellow brunette into another point-blank range tussle but Satta hangs back and controls the distance with the high jab for remainder of the round. Barriales prefers not to charge at her in swarming fashion which she might regret later on as Melissa's stand-by mode probably won't last forever.

Round 5:
Melissa tries to regain her mojo and slugs it through the Spaniard's high-guard but Laura belts her to the body and triggers another heated exchange in the center of the ring. Laura pushes for the go-ahead knockdown and barks in her efforts as she slumps Satta on her heels before dropping a nasty bomb across the nasal ridge. Ugh! Melissa has been cut on impact but this wound only wakes her up into a hooking frenzy that suddenly has Laura's head snapping back as well. Uh-oh! Both models tear into each other hard before a clash of heads bumps Barriales onto the ropes where Satta RIPS a brutal hook on her breasts and leaves her slumped on the turnbuckle come the final stretch. Melissa steals the round with additional body assault and the referee has a hard time pulling her off the Spanish brunette once the clock expires.

Round 6:
The Italian crowd smells blood and Melissa uses more jug muggin' skills to neutralize the Spanish woman in the center of the ring before busting her in the solar plexus. Laura refuses to back off and tries to send a looping response over the top before another uppercut rally on the chest stuffs her into spasms; Melissa unloads a ruthless bomb from the left and smacks Barriales on the ear before a follow up shot tags the chin and SENDS LAURA CRASHING DOWN ON HER BACK!!! Big roar inside the arena as Satta struts back to her corner which forces the ref into a quick count procedure. Laura rolls onto all fours half-way through it and looks set to recover before suddenly being stuck on one knee at eight and then it's too late!!! She tries to get up but remains too dizzy and has to stay down on one knee as the ref shouts "TEN!!!" into her face!!! It's over!!! KO6 Melissa Satta!!!

AFTER: Another solid victory for Melissa but she had to battle through some issues tonight and that performance doesn't earn her top artistic impression marks whatsoever. She looks frustrated about that nasal ridge gash and keeps shouting towards the camera if only to remind everyone she deserves more than some undercard opportunities like this. BBU TV's Denise van Outen believes the Boston-born model could buy herself a new career in beach boxing rules as well but Melissa wants real silverware recognition and won't settle for any participation trophies until she becomes a lineal BBU champion.
