Jade Thirlwall vs Leah Perkins

BEFORE: Jade Thirlwall's path to BBU flyweight championship was blocked when she fell to Ewelina Lisowska at the Boxing Day PPV but she remains one of the prime contenders who should earn another shot sooner rather than later. In the meantime she's ready to block someone else's path to the flyweight straps as BBU TV's Denise van Outen reports that Leah Perkins is widely considered by Lisowska's management as the next challenger in case the Polish singer defeats Jade Ewen in the Main Event.

Leah doesn't think about the title opportunity just yet - not officially anyway - as she seeks family revenge first. Thirlwall knocked out her older sister Mimi last month and that's one result that cannot go away unpunished:

"I'm here to show this Geordie slag she's messed around with the wrong people! Mimi deserves so much better! Guess I'll have to drag Jade through the ringer and force her to beg me for mercy! There will be no mercy for you, bytch!"

Jade laughs off Leah's comments and believes these Aussie models ain't all that tough to begin with: "Geez, another case of overrated Instagram models! They spread around like cockroaches, don't they? I'm pounded out one of them so obviously I'm gonna sweep the second one too. That's a gimme!"

Jade Thirlwall wears a black bikini set & blue gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Leah Perkins wears a white bikini set & pink gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a curled ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Both girls jump into a heavy slugging attack and try to secure the early advantage. Leah shows plenty of aggression but gets picked off by the more experienced opponent who begins to stack up the superior numbers landing vicious leather straight into the Australian's pretty face. Ugh! Leah gets stuffed by a feisty double on each temple and finally backs off from the slugging route but Jade still rips a brutal cross onto her nose and pummels her towards the ropes in short order. Perkins tries to swing back in do or die fashion but the Geordie singer ducks underneath the desperate efforts and hauls in a jug muggin' combo that cripples the younger brunette into spasms before a booming hook finds the jaw and leaves Leah slumped at the bell.

Round 2:
More slugging assault early in the second as Leah roars back into contention when she spikes Jade up the middle and connects with her jaw. This time the Geordie singer doesn't avoid the Aussie rush and her head snaps back repeatedly before she clinches the charging foe. However Leah barges her in the navel and digs a not-so-accidental elbow in the chest which drops Thirlwall back. Both girls reload on the fly and Leah still finds the mark first as she slams a left/right combo into the singer's face before piercing Jade's solar plexus on the follow up. Uh-oh! Thirlwall bails out into retreat as she tries to catch her breath only for Perkins to hassle her around the area until she backs her onto the turnbuckle where she slams another gut-checking combo on target.

Round 3:
Jade regains the upper-hand with a rare uppercut drive into the Aussie model's chest before a clash of heads slows her progress down. Perkins recovers from the banger to slam a double cross into the singer's face as both girls swing at each other hammer & tongs which actually affects the precision down the stretch. Body assault proves to be more successful when Jade plugs the Gold Coast brunette in the breadbasket and follows through to punish the ribcage. Leah yelps out in significant manner but still tries to land a harpoon series of her own only to bounce off Thirlwall's forearms and back off in the closing stages wholesale.

Round 4:
Jade seeks more damage upstairs and begins to stack up her punches between Leah's mitts as the Aussie high-guard collapses in worrying fashion early in the fourth. Maybe Perkins expected more body shots but she leaks a nasty uppercut combo that drops her off the slugging response and has Thirlwall chasing her around the ring instead. Leah finally runs out of real estate and tries to punch through more aerial slugs but Jade simply beats her to the punch and tears a small gash across the nasal ridge before a thumping double on the chin slumps the Aussie stunner on soft knees. Ugh! Leah tries to swing from behind the guard only for Jade to SMOKE her with a brutal chin shot and another booming shot on the ear almost floors Perkins on the spot! Ugh! She cries out in pain and slumps against the turnbuckle before the bell rescues her at the last moment. But Jade feels like she's broken Leah's resilience and vows to finish her off in the next round!

Round 5:
Jade flies into a jabbing assault that Leah lets through in retreat mode before blowing into the singer's chest with a rare jug muggin' display against the odds. Thirlwall anticipated a mere survival display from the Aussie tourist but Leah plugs her in the rack and lands a wild harpoon series to trigger a hectic phone booth brawl much into the crowd's delight... both tiny brunettes let it rip and while Jade lands the nasty shots well, she's the one who begins to suffer more when Leah pounds her in the liver area with a swift combo... Jade wobbles forward with a whimper but still tries to find her haymaker... she bounces off Perkins' shoulder and has to adjust her footing only for the Aussie model to BLAST her with a thunderous uppercut on the jaw... Uh-oh!!! Jade is HURT as she slumps to the side with a loud whimper again and gets stuck on her heels while Perkins catches her flush on the jaw again!!! THIRLWALL CHECKS OUT and half-spins to the side before fading down onto her knees!!! Ugh! Leah struts back to coach Kylie Minogue while Jade tries to beat the count too fast for her own good. She gets up at five but then trips back onto the ropes and bends against them as she appears to be shaken up by the knockdown even though she's actually upright. Ref doesn't want to stop the fight and lets the South Shields babe back out there but Leah jumps all over her with a vicious slugging assault that destroys the high-guard and backs the older brunette onto the ropes again. Jade is getting punched into a standstill and doesn't offer anything back while Perkins SMOKES her out of the orbit with another brutal double on the temples. Jade's eyes are shut down and she faceplants at the model's feet in dead meat fashion which ends the fight on the spot!!! KO5 Leah Perkins!!!

AFTER: What a showing from the Gold Coast model! She basically knocked Jade's lights out to secure the big family revenge after what happened to Mimi Perkins last month. No wonder coach Kylie Minogue is excited to announce that Leah expects to feature in some silverware action during the summer: 

"If Ewelina Lisowska defends the BBU flyweight title we should be a signature on the dotted line away from getting the next title shot. If Jade Ewen takes Lisowska down we can't promise anything and might head back to Australia where Bonnie Sveen is ready to vacat the ACB flyweight title. Yes, we are going BIG with Leah but she totally deserves the attention!"

While Kylie does all the talking to the media, Leah is busy dragging the unconscious Jade by the hair and flips her back onto Frankie Cocozza's lap in the front seats: "Tell that little slag to stay away from my sister! Or else I'm gonna whup her sorry ass again!"
