Intro:
It's now time for the ACB bantamweight title to be defended, Rose Byrne hopes to win her first title in her long illustrious career as she returns down under on the Gold Coast, Olympia Valance makes her first defence after a month ago winning the belt from Miranda Kerr to begin a new era in the division.

In the build up to this fight Rose Byrne proudly told her supporters on social media "getting a shot at the the ACB bantamweight title, can't believe to get to show my skills back home and claim the title, I'll do it for all my fans! #andnewchamp.."

While Olympia was quick to fire back "I am glad I made your day Rose, this whole new champ thing doesn't work for me though, once we step foot on the beach you will see why I am the future of the ACB #newerabegins" with both fighters fans debating who would leave with the title.

The day before the fight both women were asked for comments in their hotel rooms by Green and Gold magazines Sarah Cummings, who first stepped into the room of Rose, who is finishing doing stretches as she looks ready to try to sleep.

"God I can't wait to get into that ring tomorrow, I am buzzing so much that I want to try to sleep early, though I'll probably not be able to, this is one of the biggest fights of my life, to claim the ACB title will cement my legacy" says a smiling Rose, she sits onto her bed as Sarah nods at her.

"Don't get me wrong, Olympia is a good fighter but I have worked over a decade to get here, I won't throw this chance away to take the ACB title, I am focused on that and nobody will stop me" Roses nodding to herself, fists clenched as she looks ready to fight right now.

Sarah then heads into Olympia's hotel room, finding her in a white fluffy dressing gown after showering, waving Sarah to sit on her bed as the champion makes sure to have her title on her right shoulder, sitting on a chair facing towards the camera with a warm smile.

When asked why Rose got the title shot, Olympia replies "I have a lot of respect for her, she has been one of the unsung fighters from our shores flying the flag in the BBU and even in the FCBA, so it felt right to finally give her a shot at glory back in our homeland"

Then Olympia places the belt on the dresser behind her, telling Sarah "with all that I am not going to show her much respect when we step into the ring, I worked my way to this title and beat the immovable objected at the top of the division in Miranda, I won't simply drop the belt after one month, Rose will have to bring her best to have a sniff at claiming this title, it won't be enough though" stern in her response as she is fully focused clearly on this challenge ahead.

Fighting time, the ring posts have been set into the beach itself, sadly no spectators this time around with just several cameras around ringside to capture the action, the judges table and the time keepers are on opposite sides of the ring.

First to step foot onto the beautiful beach is the challenger, Rose has her coach Sophia Myles beside her as she walks to the beach wearing a red bikini with white gloves that have red string tying them up, her hair is in a ponytail with a white ribbon holding it in place.

As she steps into the ring, Rose looks calm as she nods to Sophia while going through the final instructions, shadow boxing afterwards as she can be heard saying "I am ready" to her coach, Sophia smiling at her looking proud after clearly a hard month of training for this fight.

Now here comes the champion, Olympia hasn't got her big sister in her corner this time, instead she has Hilary Swank and cut woman Eva Carneiro behind her, the title belt is around her waist with the green strap, Olympia wearing a tan coloured bikini with matching gloves, her hair is tied into a ponytail too with a tan coloured ribbon.

After getting the belt taken off by Hilary and handed to the referee, Olympia steps into the ring with eyes firmly locked onto her opponent, banging her gloves together as she paces side to side, maybe a little more nervous then her opponent.

The referee waves the fighters to the center of the ring, showing them both the title belt, though their eyes are locked together as they know it is all about knocking the other fighter out the way if they are to claim the belt, there's a respectful fist bump between them before they jog back to their corners, gumshields in before the bell rings to start 10 rounds of ACB bantamweight title action.

Round 1:
"Ding" heading out their corners with both fighters probing their opponent's defences, Olympia landing several good clean jabs through the guard of Rose, using her extra reach over her to give Rose an early idea of what she has to overcome as a one-two combo comes flying in.

The experience of Byrne starts to show though as she deflects a straight to hammer in a right of her own to the face of the champion, getting in closer as she swings in a follow up left cross, making Olympia retreat back a step as Rose walks her down.

Pressed to the ropes by a straight into her chest, Olympia is starting to look a little tense as she covers up, Rose taking the invitation to go to work, working the body of the younger woman to try to take some spring from her step, issue is she is leaving herself open to cross punches up top.

A short shove with her left forearm gives Olympia room to land an uppercut to snap back the head of the challenger, after a strong opening two minutes, Rose is finding herself being pressed back across the ring as Valance is throwing a barrage of straight punches, Byrne blocking most, the ones that get through knocking her head back.

The round comes to an end with Olympia getting her arms massaged as she looks a little tense, Rose meanwhile taps her legs as she looks keen to get back out, she is focused on getting the title as she gets advice from Sophia.

Round 2:
Dancing up on her toes as she comes out, Olympia is trying to keep Rose at range as they fight around the center, Rose keeping her left up more tighter to her face, landing some good straight shots but being out worked in the early moments of the round.

Till Rose slips a jab to pound in a right hook to the body, her left up top gets blocked but Olympia can't force her back to the outside so easily, leading to a hard hitting exchange between them, with Rose landing a few cuffing lefts near the jugs of Olympia to make the soap star hiss.

After Rose starts to back up Olympia with short digging punches, she gets a little nudge with the left of the champion to her face, then a right hook catches Rose across her cheek to turn her head, Olympia drilling a one-two through the mitts of her opponent to knock her head back.

Into a neutral corner Rose gets knocked into, with a left cross knocking aside her guard, with a straight knocking her head back, Rose pulling Olympia into a clinch, the bell rings to end the round with both women pulling apart, Olympia looking more like herself after a slow start.

Round 3:
Jogging out their corners trading more punches in volume, they stand to trade with their feet planted, a double jab smacks into the top of Rose's head, Olympia starts to back up Rose after she lands a right across her face then a left smacking straight into her face.

A missed right by Olympia leaves her open to a counter uppercut on her chin, back goes the champion onto her heels, kicking up sand as she is driven into the Foxfire corner, where Olympia gets to hear Sophia telling her fighter to knock her out, Valance needing to cover up to soak up the pressure as best as she can.

Pulling Rose into a clinch, Olympia takes a breath as she looks relieved to not be under such pressure, split apart by the referee, Rose gets clipped when they resume by a straight then a left cross into her face, Rose backing off as Olympia now begins to open up on her, swinging in several hooks that hit the gloves of the veteran.

Another miss allows Rose to punish Olympia, a left cross finds air before an overhand right smacks into the side of her head, with the fighters coaches yelling at them, Rose smacks Olympia with another right hook as the champ covers up, pressed onto the ropes with twenty seconds to go.

At the bell both women turn on their heels, Olympia has a few marks on her cheeks now as she sits on her stool, Rose meanwhile gets her brow wiped as she nods to Sophia, bumping a fist as Rose stands ready for the next round to start.

Round 4:
Rose is looking more confident, dipping down to dig in body shots as she pushes the pace, Olympia not as accurate as she'd hope as she gets clipped with an overhand right on her jaw to make her think hard about when to strike.

An overhand left catches Olympia on the chin, followed by a right to the jaw, shelling up as Rose presses right into her, the challenger muscling Valance into a corner, where she hammers her sides, when she starts throwing uppercuts Olympia holds onto her to stop the assault, referee pries them apart as Rose presses Olympia into the corner to stop her getting a rest.

Half of the round gone, Olympia realising she can't hide behind her guard, starts to use her jab more to improve her accuracy, catching the coming forwards Byrne square into her face, forcing the fight back towards the middle of the ring, Rose coming back at her, leading to a heated exchange where Rose is throwing short uppercuts to the body of Olympia to make her groan out.

A short left hook catches Rose on her chin, a straight knocks back the head of the veteran, who finds herself knocked back onto the ropes, Olympia swinging in hooks, then an uppercut smacks Rose on her chin to send sweat flying just moments before the round ends.

Another strong round for Rose, who gets a tap on her back by Sophia, Olympia meanwhile is given a pep talk by Hilary, who jokes she isn't as good as Olympia's sister at this but she knows that Olympia can turn this around, the champion nodding in response as she gets a smile from Eva to show she believes in her.

Round 5:
Standing their ground more to trade, there's a flurry of punches coming from both, Rose lands a good one-two punch combo through Olympia's guard, when she tries to press her advantage she is met with a left hook across her face.

A right cross catches Rose on the jaw as Olympia starts to back her up, Rose covering up as Olympia takes the center of the ring, both drilling punches into faces, with Olympia landing a left across the face of Rose then a straight snaps back her head.

Covering up more as she tries to wait for an opening, Rose is getting swamped as Olympia is fired up to turn this ship around, a right hook smacks Rose on the side of her head, forcing her to hang onto the younger fighter, broken apart as they grind their heads into each other, Byrne is able to get into space.

Where she lands a counter right across the face of Olympia, who is being knocked onto her heels after a left uppercut knocks her head back, more sand is kicked up as Rose reminds Olympia that she isn't going to give her an easy defence here, both banging away in the final forty seconds, Olympia getting the worst of it as she can't load up as much.

Round ends with the Girls Friday crew looking happier with how things went there, even though Olympia has a mouse forming under her left eye that Eva has to work on, Rose meanwhile gets wiped down as Sophia tells her she has this in the bag.

Round 6:
Boxing around the center of the ring, Rose uses her left forearm to push back Olympia, landing an overhand right to the cheek of the champion, following up with another hard shot across her face as the challenger begins to push the pace up a notch.

As Rose presses back Olympia, she gets a nudge to her face before a right cross smacks across her face, Olympia reversing the momentum around, landing several good cross punches across the face of Byrne to make her groan out as she is driven onto her heels.

Pushing back Olympia when she finds her back near the ropes, both landing hard shots as they are letting their hands go, with both planting their feet swinging from their hips, Rose knocking the head of Olympia with a left cross, a right hook catches her in the face as she tries to press forwards.

They fall into a clinch after they both miss, hard to judge whose on top now, rabbit punches behind heads coming in as the referee steps in to break them up, giving them a warning as they stare hard at their opponent, trading in close again as Rose is quick off the mark to resume fighting.

Taking a quick step back as she is losing the inside exchanges, Olympia lands a right cross, then lands a one-two as she backs up Rose, who has a trickle of blood coming from her nostrils, the bell soon rings with both taking a breath before they return to their corners.

Round 7:
Jogging out their corners to resume, Olympia moves out the way of a left cross, landing a hard right into the nose of Rose, with a left landing across it to make Rose cry out as she backs off, more blood flowing from her nose, with Olympia hunting her down.

Rose tries to catch out Olympia with a right cross that just misses, Olympia lands another jab into the nose of the challenger, who cries out as her eyes shut, AN UPPERCUT LANDS FLUSH TO SEND ROSE ONTO HER BACK! ROSE HOLDING HER NOSE AS OLYMPIA RAISES HER ARMS INTO THE AIR!

Jogging to the neutral corner, Olympia leans against the turnbuckles watching Rose closely, 1...2....3... Rose turns to her left side, 4...5...6.. Blood is dripping onto the sand as Rose is shedding tears, 7...8...9....10 Rose doesn't bother moving from her side, it is all over!

After:
Coming back from being behind on the scorecards, Olympia turns to the cameras showing her blood stained gloves with a cheeky wink, heading to her corner to be met with hugs from both of her corner crew, Hilary telling her "soon enough I might need to make room for other title belts if you keep fighting like this" making Olympia grin.

Someone certainly not smiling is Rose, she is helped to sit up as her nose is checked over, thankfully it isn't broken but definitely sore, Olympia after the emotions of winning comes over to check on her after she sees the bleeding stopped with tissues up her nostrils, the fighters share a fist bump to show respect as Olympia says "you are great Rose, don't give up hope" making Rose nod with a small smile showing her thanks for the kind words.

Back into their corners goes the fighters, Rose being patched up as she says sorry to Sophia for dropping the ball when she was ahead, Sophia replying "you gave it your all and just dumb luck beat you tonight, so wipe your tears away and let's get back to earning a rematch OK?" Rose high fives Sophia to show she will.

After they are wiped down and have rehydrated, both women step to the center of the ring, Olympia gets the title wrapped around her waist as the referee announces her the winner, both fighters shake hands in a moment of sporting class from them.

Rose steps out the ring with a determined look, even at forty two she hasn't given up hope of holding an ACB title, Sophia telling her it's only a moment of time before she gets her shot again, though the line in the ACB is growing as new faces show up.

The champion poses with her fists up for the cameras, a warm smile before she says "I love you guys, this is for my fans" waving to them, then going on a lap of honour as Hilary and Eva applauds her, they then leave the ring together as Olympia tells them they can go sunbathing tomorrow to celebrate, Hilary joking "have we not got enough of a tan now" laughing as they head off the beach together.
