Intro:
The opening bout of tonight sees two undefeated prospects put their records on the line in pursuit of moving closer to a title fight, actress Maisie Smith has really grown in stature with her "Strictly Come Dancing" run, reality star Lucy Watson has been looking for a stable since debuting three years ago.

Going into the contest Maisie posted on her social media "back into the gym, can't wait to smack Lucy down for you wonderful fans #nobodybetter" along with a photo of her in her stables gym ready for training.


Lucy replied on her social media "nobody better? Please Maisie! You're just a little girl who will only be remembered for being Bianca's daughter, oh and those fat legs you are proud of" along with a photo of her looking ready for this fight.


Fight night with Maisie out first with her coach Emma Bunton, she is wearing a lime green sports bra with silver trim, matching trunks and shoes, green gloves, while her hair is tied into a ponytail, she steps into the ring getting a good cheer from the crowd, she gives the fans a quick right handed fist bump before getting into her warm up routine.

Now out comes Lucy with her coach behind her, she is wearing a black sports bra with white trim, matching trunks and shoes, white gloves with her hair also in a ponytail, she climbs into the ring smirking as she looks over at Maisie, confident she can beat the younger woman.

Walking to the center of the ring, the fighters bounce on their toes with eyes locked, neither is scared about the other, confident in their abilities as the referee finishes their instructions, they slam their gloves into their opponent's set, then jogging back to their corners, ready to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
Clash of styles of evident right away as Maisie looks the more flat footed of two fighters, with Lucy moving more side to side to jab into the face of her opponent, Maisie though shows her own burst of speed when she thrusts forwards with her powerfully legs to slam in an overhand right to the cheek of the older woman.

While arguably Lucy started off the quicker, Maisie has gotten in closer where her power advantage is clear, knocking back Louise as she lands several short cross punches into her face, the crowd hyped up as they watch the redhead bash back Watson to the ropes, till after a short flurry lands the reality star grabs onto her opponent to force the referee to step in.

Already doubling up her jab as they resume, Lucy heads into the halfway point of the round looking back on top, peppering Maisie's face at range, dodging some of the bigger punches coming from the spirited youngster, who looks like she wants to take Lucy's head off.

Ducking under a jab, Maisie comes up with a left uppercut to knock back the head of Lucy, a short right cross turns her head to the side as Maisie marches forwards, getting Lucy into a neutral corner, where she mauls her to the body, Lucy not looking so comfortable under the firepower of Smith, when the bell rings both showed little flashes of their clash, with Maisie getting the nod off most pundits at ringside for the opener.

Round 2:
Back out the come on the front foot, Lucy knowing what kind of test she is in for again sticks behind the double jab, she gets clocked several times around it as Maisie again presses in close when she sees an opening, hurting Lucy with these power shots as she barks in effort.

Giving Maisie a little shove with her left hand to the face, Lucy escapes from the ropes back into space, using more feints now to make it hard for Maisie to read, slamming in some counter cross punches when she dodges some of the heavy artillery coming her way to make Maisie pay for being a power puncher.

Emma is yelling at Maisie to use her jab more, the stubborn young fighter isn't though, which is allowing Lucy more time to dodge then counter, marking up the cheeks of Smith as she looks to be having her longest run in control of the action, taking mostly grazing shots that aren't doing much damage.

Late in the round Maisie closes the gap to work to the body, Lucy giving her a little shove but Maisie lands an overhand left onto her jaw to turn her head, Lucy doesn't seem to have the outright power to firmly keep off Maisie, who is on top when the bell rings, though Lucy surely took the round with her skillful boxing.

Round 3:
After getting a telling off by her coach, Maisie does start to use the jab more, leading to a furious jabbing exchange to kick off the action, both fighters cheeks are marking up nicely, with Lucy just about escaping the power punches again in the opening moments of the round.

Soon enough though Maisie crouches under a straight to land one of her own into the abs of Lucy, another overhand left hits its mark as Lucy doesn't seem able to block them very well, an uppercut knocks her onto her heels to cause some worry in the Watson camp.

They get to watch Lucy get driven against the ropes, where Maisie let's rip with her hooks, one causing blood to run from a cut under Lucy's left eye, the brunette battler grabbing onto Maisie, forcing the clinch as Maisie presses her into the ropes, referee needed to split them up as the Smith fans are in full voice.

Lucy boxes well on the defensive, letting the younger fighters aggression work against her with some beautiful counter punches, Maisie snarling as she shows a little frustration after being on top, needing to get her jab working again as she can't simply walk through all her opponent's like she has done in her first three fights.

When the bell rings Lucy is back to her corner looking a little bewildered at the power of Maisie, her cut is worked on by her coach making her groan each time it is touched, Maisie on the other hand getting sound advice off the veteran coach, a nod from Maisie maybe showing she is starting to listen after such a wild start.

Round 4:
At the bell we again get a jabbing exchange, Lucy digging in a few more punches aimed at the chest of Maisie, making the redhead grit her mouthpiece and have to think about her attacks, with Watson smiling when Maisie throws a left haymaker in anger that just sails through the air to hit nothing, ending up taking a firm one-two combo to her face instead.

A left cross catches Maisie on her jaw, with a one-two following to snap back the head of the EastEnders star, driving her back really for the first time in this contest, with a little blood now trickling from the nostrils of Maisie, who is still dangerous as she lashes out a left cross from her guard that nearly caught Lucy flush if she hadn't leaned out the way in time.

Slamming her punches into the nose area of Maisie, Lucy seems have found her bullseye to really hurt Maisie, problem is she gets one dimensional and Smith slips a straight to thud in a counter right hook to the body, then a left hook to the jaw of the older woman to send a little sweat and blood flying.

On comes Maisie with less then forty seconds to go, Lucy trying to ward off the younger fighter, getting caught across her own cut though with cross punches, crowd is roaring for both women as they let their hands go, Lucy boxing off the back foot trying to keep Maisie off her, at the end of the round both women are certainly being pushed more then they have in their careers, getting cleaned up by their coaches in their corners as they stare daggers at each other.

Round 5:
Coming out trading hard shots as they kick off the action, Louise doubles up her jab then follows with a straight to knock back the head of Maisie, moving back out the way of a right cross as she opens up on Smith, with the younger woman on the back foot.

When Lucy steps in to try to land a left cross, Maisie steps in with an uppercut to the body, followed by a short left cross into the cheek of Lucy, now it's Maisie backing up her opponent, another uppercut this time lands on the chin of Lucy, who has blood running from her cut down her cheek.

Lucy tries to grab onto Maisie, a nudge with the left forearm of Smith forcing her back, a right hook across the cut makes Lucy cry out, a follow up right hook has Much stumbling to the ropes, WHERE A VENOMOUS LEFT HOOK ON THE CHIN SENDS WATSON DOWN TO HER LEFT SIDE WITH A THUD!

Raising her arms in the air to a loud cheer from the crowd, Maisie looks proud of that punch as she heads to the neutral corner, 1...2....3....4... Lucy's gumshield comes out as she has her eyes shut, 5....6...7... THE REFEREE CHECKS LUCY AND DOESN'T BOTHER WITH THE REST OF THE COUNT! SHE IS OUT COLD!

Winner Maisie Smith KO Round 5

After:
What a way to make a statement to the rest of the division that you are here to be the best, Maisie does a victory lap in the ring as Lucy is being checked on by her coach and the ringside doctor, with the fans of Smith chanting her name at the top of their lungs.

Soon Lucy comes around, she still looks buzzed as she is helped to sit on her stool, holding her head as she admits that she though she got hit by a truck, the doctor patching the cut up as the beaten fighter fights back tears, with Watson happy to be up and out the ring with help from her coach.

In the ring Maisie gets cleaned up and her gloves off, she jogs to the center of the ring smiling, getting her right hand raised into the air, she poses for the cameras with her arms flexed, staring into the camera as if challenging the rest of the division to come fight her.

She soon leaves the ring, Maisie smiling as Emma puts her arm around her shoulders, telling the young fighter how good she looked, tonights win will have opened the door for her to go for bigger money fights now, has she the potential to go all the way to the top?
