Odette Yustman vs Wallis Day
(Lioness Club of America vs Lookout! Boxing)
(45-28-1, 38 KO vs 9-4, 9 KO)
Results: Lookout!; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: "It seems like the mighty Lookout! stable is lowering their standards a lot! Wallis Day is BBU-level player, what has she done to get this job anyway? I should be fighting Yvonne Strahovski, not this back-up dummy!", Odette Yustman goes totally off-character when talking about her tonight's opponent but BLONDE! Magazine wisely points out she only has herself to blame if such upstarts consider HER to be the low-hanging fruit.

Wallis dismisses Odette's comments as she realizes her recent career rise has shocked several industry insiders and she's still uneasy to be called a "player" without a proper test: "I get that some people think Syfy & The CW fame is no fame. But I came a long way since my Hollyoaks days. Lookout! probably made a mistake letting Karen Gillan go but they've learned from it and here I am! Odette wants Vonnie? Hah! She's past those days when she picked her battles. After I'm done with her, she'll be begging Ruby Rose to fight her at the next PPV!" (giggles).

Odette Yustman wears a black bikini set & red gloves. Long black hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Wallis Day wears a red crop top, black hip-huggers & yellow gloves. Medium lenght blonde hair straight, tucked behind the ears. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Rounds 1:
Wallis comes out firing but gets exposed by the brunette's counter-punching prowess and quickly eats a steady jabbing dose over the top. She tries to pile through Odette's guard but finds herself slicing thin air as the American displays supreme mobility to avoid the blonde's rush. Wallis still tries her chances slugging it up the middle but struggles to connect with her punches and gets swamped by Odette's ultra-accurate response from behind the guard. The blonde gets stuffed on her heels when Yustman rocks her with a big cross on the nose and dissects the high-guard thereafter sending Day into a spooked retreat just to run the clock down.

Rouns 2:
This is hardly the second coming of Yvonne Strahovski as Wallis gets outworked in the close range she enforced on purpose as Odette bangs her in the guts and leaves gasping for air during the opening minute. Odette abandons her trademark counter-punching style as if she noticed Wallis feels uncomfortable while getting slugged wholesale so the Lioness beat goes on and forces the blonde to seek respite in mid-distance. No sign of a proper response from the British fighter and most fans don't believe she's shrewd enough to lure Yustman into a counter-punching trap whatsoever. This allows the brunette to dominate another round by numbers as Day stays back and offers meaningless single-hand attack that skims off Odette's stubborn guard. However the American doesn't punish the reeling blonde too much which earns her a staunch reminder from coach Eva Mendes during the break.

Round 3:
Wallis gets more aggressive and manages to stick some quick leather into Odette's face early in the third which allows her to even the artistic impression value as the brunette responds with a spirited body assault that is aimed to break the blonde off again... but Wallis stays in the slugging lane for a change and wobbles the American with a wild uppercut combo on the jaw before she rattles the older woman back onto the ropes with a stray elbow on the chest. Ugh! Odette swings back and catches Day on the nose but the Brit piles on more heads up leather and drops Yustman behind a tight earmuff instead. More quick bangs punish the midsection in quick order and leave Odette hanging on the ropes as Wallis gets on the scoreboard and punches the air in slightly premature delight.

Round 4:
Odette rallies to punish the blonde's midsection early in the fourth and profits from an accidental clash of heads as both women lock horns in the designated phone booth. They trade vicious blows until Wallis bails out of the exchange and forces her opponent to chase her around the area. Odette blows her gasket in surprising fashion as if she really thinks Strahovski is out there instead of Day but the slugging push is enough to keep the Brit dancing on her toes and flat out avoid another slugging jam. Wallis recovers late when she gets otherwise trapped on the turnbuckle and matches the brunette's jabbing pounce until a clinching stalemate slows the action right down.

Round 5:
Wallis comes out hot and tags the brunette over the top but this time she cuts Odette across the nasal ridge which sends her down the head-hunting path. She rips Yustman's high-guard wide open and knocks the brunette's head back before looping a nasty hook on the ear that slumps the older woman into spasms. Odette reverts back to her elite mobility but Wallis gets on top of that and barges the American onto the ropes where she hammers her to the body and cripples her into more spasms come the two-minute mark. Ugh! Odette tries to clinch the Brit but eats more harpoon stingers and bellows out on top of the ropes with eyes closed as Day thumps more hard leather into her exposed stomach!

Round 6:
Odette is slow to get up for the sixth and suddenly looks to be hurting upon impact as Wallis blitzes her up the middle; she adds another small gash under the left eye and reduces Yustman into a punchbag much to the crowd's surprise. Odette slumps on her heels and just can't do anything when her mobility is neutralized while the blonde NAILS her with a thumping venom on the ear. Ugh! Yustman spins to the side and eats another crushing uppercut on the jaw before Wallis lands another cross hook on the nose TO SEND ODETTE CRASHING FLAT ON HER BACK!!! Uh-oh!! Ms Strahovski would be proud of that one, folks!!! Odette remains down on her back with arms above her head and drifts into knockout daze as the merciless count quickly passes her by!!! It's all over!!! KO6 Wallis Day!!!

AFTER: It's still unclear whether the generational change has truly arrived at Lookout! Boxing but some trigger-happy pundits believe this is the fight that brings Wallis Day on the elite map while hitherto lightweight stable leader Yvonne Strahovski should be looking for the support role going forward. Beating Odette Yustman looks great on anyone's resume but Mary Elizabeth Winstead is the true elite test according to Paris Hilton.

Meanwhile Wallis acknowledges the media buzz but claims: "I'm just getting started. I kinda send Emily VanCamp to the backbenches but let me enjoy this moment! I have all the time in the world to deal with Mary Elizabeth and Yvonne's heiress status!" (winks).

Official Result: Wallis Day def. Odette Yustman KO6.
