Romanian Flyweight Supremacy Bout

BEFORE: It's time for the long awaited flyweight supremacy bout between two Romanian Invasion singers who are rumoured to be feuding backstage ever since the stable was formed. Inna got the early career start long before Elena Gheorghe came along and seems bemused she has to prove her status in the ring outright. Meanwhile Elena dismisses the fellow brunette's experience and claims she's the better woman pure and simple!

We are inside the Romexpo Arena in Bucharest where 10,000 partisan fans are ready to witness this epic flyweight showdown. Romanian Invasion manager Corina Caragea is joined by veteran Oana Zavoranu who is rumoured to be browsing cougar division options according to BBU TV's Kate Abdo but both of them remain neutral so only cutwomen are present in each corner.

Inna wears a red bikini set & yellow gloves. Long raven-black hair tied in a high ponytail. Elena Gheorghe wears a leopard print one-piece swimsuit set & red gloves. Long auburn red hair tied in a curled ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Inna blitzes the older singer up the middle but eats a vicious hook over the top as Elena jumps on the slugging route and bashes her foe with supreme confidence thereafter. Both women give each other no quarter and seek early destruction in vintage flyweight bashing fashion but it's easier said than done and the lack of precision eventually overcomes the pure determination. Several crisp punches land on target alright but not enough to break any of these hellcats down so early in the bout. Elena cleans up Inna's tummy as she switches her targets come the final minute and backs the younger compatriot onto the ropes where she lands more promising harpoons around the liver area but is unable to drop Inna into real trouble here given the latter's reaction.

Round 2:
More slugging menace in the opening minute but this time Elena cracks a nasty combo on the temples that slumps Inna on her heels before she eats a faceful of leather as the redhead gashes her over the top again. Ugh! Elena's power supply leaves the brunette dancing around in pure avoidance for a while before she mounts a counter-punching response but bounces off Gheorghe's forearms too often to make her efforts work. Meanwhile Elena picks her off with a sustained single-hand delivery and grinds her down onto the turnbuckle where she hauls in more promising harpoons to take another close round into her favor.

Round 3:
Inna works her way back through a stubborn assault into the redhead's cleavage alas Elena bumps her away in jug-to-jug contact before slicing a left hook on the brow ridge that slumps the brunette on her heels again. Ugh! BBU TV's Kate Abdo notices that Elena has wobbled her foe far too easily so far and she cashes in with another slugging delivery as the brunette's guard is unable to embrace the close range heat. Gheorghe powers ahead with a vicious uppercut series that clips Inna's chin and drops her into a hectic retreat until she runs out of real estate and has to accept the redhead's slugging offer. She lands a couple of heavy rights into the older singer's face but Elena simply overruns her efforts and bangs away with more hooks on each temple that force Inna into a desperate earmuff cover come the final stretch. Ref pulls the feisty redhead away at the bell and this supremacy battle has a clear leader on the cards after three rounds!

Round 4:
Elena seeks to blow the subdued Inna away but gets sucked into a clinching stalemate that quickly descends into thai boxing-like battle of attrition as the brunette basically lands a knee into her opponent's crotch to spin her back onto the ropes where a vicious uppercut double finally dumps Gheorghe into real trouble. Ugh! Even Corina Caragea noticed the low blow and tells Oana Zavoranu: "She got away with it!" but the referee doesn't stop the action and allows Inna to plug more body shots as Elena remains vulnerable and doesn't spring back into immediate response. All Inna come the final minute as she pummels the exposed midsection before trying to drill the redhead upstairs but she just can't split that high guard for the time being. Bell sounds and Elena whacks Inna with a straight right on the nose that triggers immediate drama in the ring as the brunette fires back and swings one over the referee's shoulder to get back at the fellow singer. Tempers flare in the Romexpo and Alexandra Stan makes her way into the ring to calm things down.

Round 5:
Elena jumps on another slugging attack and tries to extend her advantage but Inna displays supreme footwork to navigate the early storm and sits back to frustrate the redhead during the opening minute. BBU TV's Kate Abdo questions Inna's tactical approach but as long as Gheorghe only lands single punches it's all good even though it requires a mighty comeback in the second half of the fight. Elena verbally taunts the subdued brunette however Inna doesn't bite on it and continues to hang around in mid-range without showing serious aggressive ideas. The crowd actually doesn't like it and even Corina Caragea doesn't know what's going on. The bell ends Inna's curious no-show and she falls 49-46 behind on the cards.

Round 6:
Inna roars into another body assault that finally throws the older singer off her stance as both women clash in mid-range again to dish out a crowd-pleasing punishment. Ugh! Elena still plugs her foe up the middle in supreme fashion and rocks her with an uppercut double on the chin before looping a nasty hook that tears a small gash under the brunette's left eye. Uh-oh! Inna barks in anger and slams a thumping hook on the nose before driving another series into the redhead's chest and pushes her onto the ropes few seconds later. Elena goes in high with the response and bounces off the brunette's forehead while Inna catches her from the inside with a brutal hooking counter. Ugh! Elena spins back to the turnbuckle upon impact and sinks on soft knees as that last punch really caught her flat out - Inna dominates the action from there on blowing up the redhead's high guard to leave the hitherto dominant woman slumped on the ropes at the bell.

Round 7:
Elena begins to feel more heat as Inna thumps her to the body in ultra-quick fashion to set the overall tone of the round. She displays supreme fitness to make the redhead look tired and picks her from both flanks as Elena's response only grazes the flesh and forces her to seek a clinching respite when the brunette's body assault overwhelms the older singer come the second minute. Inna has other ideas though and shakes off her rival before pounding her downstairs in relentless fashion that drives Gheorghe onto the ropes where she remains trapped during the final minute. She's unable to fire through the brunette's attacks and slumps on jelly knees when Inna pierces her navel at will in the closing seconds of the round. Ugh! It's time for more verbal taunts but this time it's Inna who emerges with "You're soo done, puffy bytch!" last laugh.

Round 8:
Inna bangs another quick combo downstairs and sets up a swift uppercut series to drop Elena on her heels before booming a right cross on the ear that makes the older singer gurgle in pain. Elena tries to clinch her foe but Inna cracks a right hook on the nose and flicks more uppercuts that dissect the redhead's guard upon impact. Ugh! Gheorghe stumbles back to the ropes and is too slow to raise her mitts when Inna SMOKES her with another left/right combo on the nose. Oi, Elena!!! Blood spills from the redhead's nostrils and she goes all shimmy shake while the brunette NAILS her with another hook on the ear that DROPS ELENA FACE-DOWN ON THE CANVAS!!! Uh-oh!!! That's a bad one as the proud redhead remains motionless during the early count so Inna knows she's won this prematurely. Yeah, even Corina Caragea knows it's all over but the ref takes the merciless count all the way until the bitter end. Whatever! It's KO8 Inna who retains the Romanian flyweight supremacy in come-from-behind fashion!!!

AFTER: "Told ya I'm the better woman! How did Elena dare to question my status? Look at her now! All dazed and very much confused!", Inna can't hide her joy after the bell as Alexandra Stan & Oana Zavoranu try to revive the fallen redhead but have to call for the medical crew as the singer can't shake off the knockout daze here whatsoever.

BBU TV's Kate Abdo claims that Elena dominated the first five rounds of this contest but simply couldn't punish Inna enough - or even knock her down - to avoid a mighty collapse when she eventually run out of energy in the second half of the fight. Inna proved to be a more durable fighter and this one factor alone allowed her to take the bragging rights with national supremacy on the line.
