Intro:
Classic veteran vs youngster fight up ahead now, Una Healy probably not happy being viewed as a journey woman by some of the newer stars coming through, Maisie Smith the latest woman to try her luck with the future Hall of Fame two time BBU champion, can Maisie continue her rise or will Una prove too much for her?

To add to the intrigue Maisie and another young fighter Lottie Moss have been trading insults on social media after their latest wins, when Una is interviewed in the locker room before the fight by BBU TV reporter Anna Woolhouse, Una tells her "Maisie can take her eyes off me all she wants, trust me when I start landing clean shots on her she'll quickly learn not to disrespect me" getting her fists taped by her coach.

Una adds "these youngsters think they already are in control of the division, forgetting they still have to knock me aside if they want to do that, I've fought big hitters like Maisie before, once you make them miss they become trigger happy and that's when I pounce to finish fights, Maisie won't get past me" nodding to her coach as she tests out the tightness of her hand wraps.

Anna then gets a few words from Maisie, who is wearing a black hoodie as she is listening to some music, Maisie smiles as she waves Anna to sit next to her, asked if she is looking past Una, Maisie replies "oh you mean due to Lottie? She is an after thought right now, all I care about is sweeping aside that pensioner Una, how the hell is she still boxing? Christ I thought Una would have quit by now after all the arse kickings she has taken" laughing as she looks at her fists.

Maisie then says "Anna I am here to be a champion, Una today, Lottie tomorrow, then maybe I smash that flabby Welsh cow Charlotte Church down and take the title off her, I have worked hard to be ready for all comers to bring it on" lifting her hoodie up slightly to show her toned abs, certainly physically she can't be faulted.

Fighting time, first through the curtain comes Una with her coach, Una raising her right fist as she bounces on her toes at the top of the aisle, taking in the crowds cheers as the popular former champion seems to be loved everywhere she goes to fight, jogging down the aisle with an intense look on her face.

She is wearing a black sports bra with green trim, matching trunks and shoes, green gloves, her hair tied into a ponytail as she steps into the ring, bowing to each side of the ring before jogging over to her corner so she can go through her warm up routine.

Maisie now comes through the curtain looking relaxed as she bounces on her toes, walking down to the ring with a smile, coach Emma Bunton following behind her, she is wearing a white sports bra with black trim, matching trunks and shoes, black gloves, her hair is tied into a braid, she steps into the ring banging her gloves together as she stares at Una.

The fighters jog to the center of the ring, referee going through final instructions as they intense stare, the referee tells them to touch gloves with both women taking a moment, then swiping their gloves with their opponent's set, then jog back to their corners with fists raised, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
Kicking off the action fighting around the center of the ring behind their jabs, Una stepping back when Maisie swings in some cross punches, countering with straights back into her opponent's face to show it won't be that easy to hit her, Maisie getting a little taste of why Una is a legend with her beautiful jab starting to make more inroads through the guard of Smith.

After a strong start for Una, Maisie finally gets a read on her, deflecting a straight so she can land one herself into the lips of Healy, a left cross follows as now the youngster can begin using her power, staying in close as Una can bang, she is needing to retreat though as Maisie generates her power through her strong legs as she swings from her hips.

Taking the center of the ring for herself, Maisie is beginning to dictate the action, Una going more defensive as she doesn't want to take too many hard digging punches this early on, taking most of the hammer like shots on her gloves or forearms, defensively sound as always, problem is she can do more offensively then land single punches when she sees clear openings.

Final thirty seconds sees Una try to earn the respect of Maisie with a right hook, Maisie seeing it in time as she uses some of that dance training from her time on "Strictly Come Dancing" to back up in time, then land a counter left cross followed by a straight that knocks the Irish lass back onto the ropes, where Maisie pins her till the bell rings, a good start for Maisie as she returns to her corner, Una not looking too bothered as she heads to her stool.

Round 2:
Maybe Una was using the first as a reconnaissance round as she now gets more active, landing some beautiful combos through the gloves of Maisie to her face, making the actress have to think a little more before she comes on the attack, the face of Smith starting to mark up as she gets hit more often.

Dipping under one of Una's straights, Maisie shows some of her improvements from her last fight to bury in a straight to the abs of the fit singer, an overhand left follows onto the ear of Healy to send a little sweat off her brow, back goes Una into a neutral corner as Maisie works the body till she is clinched.

Broken up so they can resume, Una peppers Maisie's face with a double jab, then dances back out the way of an overhand left to counter with a hard right across the face of Smith, now it's Una's turn to show her power as she backs up Maisie to the ropes with four clean punches into her face.

Maisie not looking one bit happy to be stuck behind her guard, with Una pounding away at her body to take some of the steam out the youngster, who fires back sharp hooks when she sees her chance, making Una retreat back to a safe distance, Maisie waving Una to bring it on as the crowd roar.

At the end of the round it's a stronger round for Una, she sits looking as intense as ever while staring at Maisie, who isn't shy to stare right back, tension clear between the two fighters as they get advice from their coaches, how much they are actually taking in is anyone's guess.

Round 3:
Maisie comes out her corner a little quicker, forcing the issue early on as they fight around the center of the ring, Una up on her toes more as she doubles up her jab to keep making it tricky for Maisie to load up on her punches, with the younger woman looking a little flustered.

Swinging in an overhand right that finds nothing but air, a counter left smacks into the ear of Maisie to turn her head to the side, FOLLOWED BY AN UPPERCUT THAT SENDS SMITH DOWN ONTO HER BACK TO THE DELIGHT OF HEALY FANS!

Una not posing or celebrating the knockout, just professional jogging to the neutral corner right away, 1...2...3.. Maisie pushes herself up to a sitting position shaking her head, 4....5... Getting up to her right knee as she plants her left foot, 6...7....8.. Maisie watches the count and stands at eight, thudding her gloves together as she can't hide her annoyance, raising her fists to show she wants to fight on when asked.

It might have been more a flash knockdown then a full one, Maisie comes back swinging but instead of landing, she is mostly finding more air, while Una smartly is showing that boxing class that made her a two time champion, peppering the face of her opponent with counter punches then landing a right hook late in the round that sends Maisie into the ropes, where Una goes to tee off on her if not for the bell ringing, a statement round from the Irish fighter as she jogs to her corner still with that stone cold expression.

Round 4:
Una is looking to get more on the front foot now she knows she can hurt her opponent, drilling punches through the mitts of Maisie to her face, opening a cut on the bottom lip of Smith to add to her woes, though Maisie isn't going away so easily as she lands several hard shots in return to stop Una running through her.

Crouching under a jab, Maisie moves in closer to work the body of her opponent with several short body hooks, making Una groan out as she muscles her back onto the ropes, Una pushing back Maisie so she can get off the ropes, landing a one-two into the top of her opponent's head to keep her from making another rush at her.

Still Maisie is being stubborn, she keeps pressing forwards even as she is being hit around her bloody lips, landing short hooks when she can get in closer, landing an uppercut late in the round to push Una back onto her heels, the Smith supporters whistling and cheering their girl on as they watch her back Healy onto the ropes.

At the bell it's another solid round for Una, still she grits her mouthpiece not to curse out loud, clearly getting annoyed that Maisie seemingly won't go down, with Emma across the ring patching her fighter up, telling Maisie to keep the pressure up and Una will crack.

Round 5:
Again Una starts off the better as she has the faster hands, using her movement to keep Maisie from getting set on her and when she is landing to the cut lip of Maisie, she is getting groans from the actress, still not able to really stop Maisie coming at her though.

With Maisie leaning out the way of a right cross, hammering in a counter right into the chin of Una, then landing a left hook to the jaw as the singer gets her head turned, Maisie powering forwards as she forces her opponent back into the neutral corner, banging away on the inside.

Clinching up with Maisie, Una is happy to be back out the corner into space, she goes on the attack as both women let their hands go, Maisie getting to the inside to work, using her left shoulder to bump back the veteran as she shows some savvy skills to follow-up with hooks to the body.

Pushing back Maisie, things get a little scruffy as they trade with little shoves mixed in, at the end of the round Una jogs to her corner as Maisie stares daggers at her, Emma wiping her down as she tells her to keep her head, with Una getting cleaned up as she is telling her coach that she can't wait to put down Maisie and end this.

Round 6:
Out they come with determined looks as they trade around the center, Una trying to step up a gear with a right hook that doesn't land as Maisie crouches under it, an uppercut lands on the chin of Una to rock her head back, with a left hook following to knock to her left a step.

Suddenly Una doesn't look so assure of herself, getting hit with more punches through her guard as Maisie seems to have an extra burst of confidence flowing through her, a left smacks Una on her nose to start it tricking blood, Una finding herself on the ropes covering up under a sustained assault aimed at her head.

Grabbing onto Maisie to stop the barrage, Una is glad to be free of the ropes, it isn't long though before another right hook has her wobbling back, Una hasn't seemed right since that uppercut landed, she is being rocked around needing to hang onto Smith to slow her down.

Final moments of the round sees Una get struck on the nose with a jab, then an overhand right smacks around the back of the ear, Una shelling up on the ropes, being hammered up until the bell rings to end the round, Una shaking her head as she returns to her corner, her coach trying to help clear her head as she looks dazed, Maisie nodding to Emma as she listens on not rushing, use her skills to finish this fight now she has hurt Una.

Round 7:
Una comes back out trying to work behind her jab, not as mobile now as some of the spring in her step, Maisie moving her head to not be clipped so easily when coming in, feinting before she steps in with an overhand left to the side of Una's head, THE UPPERCUT THAT FOLLOWS LANDS FLUSH TO SEND UNA DOWN ONTO HER BACK!

"Come on!" Yells Maisie as she let's her emotions out after being on the back foot early in the fight, 1...2...3...4.. Una groans as her eyes are shut, she is laying spread eagle, 5...6...7... Gumshield hanging out her mouthpiece as Una still hasn't moved, 8...9...10 it's over! Maisie has knocked out Una!

After:
What a comeback for the youngster! Maisie jumping for joy as she raises her arms in the air, her fans roaring as they know how big this victory is for her young career, jogging back to her corner to be met by a big hug from Emma, who tells her how proud she is of her.

While Una is helped to sit up after she comes around, she looks shaken up as she stares at the canvas, punching the canvas in frustration after starting off the fight so strong, she couldn't finish the job, sadly a story that seems to keep repeating itself for her, the once dominant force of the division is now struggling to get a win.

Helped up by her coach, Una nods to her fans as they cheer and applaud her, she is helped out the ring to the back, Una keeping her head held high but when does her spirit get broken if she keeps on this trend, for now don't expect Una to give up so easily.

In the ring Maisie gets her right hand raised by the referee, she points at the camera and says "see that Lottie? You are next" giving a winning smile, she flexes her arms as she poses for the crowd, showing off her muscles as she smiles.

Then she heads out the ring with Emma beside her, is Maisie finally moving from a prospect to a real contender or still too early to get the elite tag ready for her, for now she seems to have her eyes on taking down another young contender in Lottie Moss to show who could be the face of the BBU bantamweight division going forwards.
