Intro:
Penultimate fight of the night sees an all English clash, veteran Michelle Keegan will be hoping to end the unbeaten run of Florence Pugh, who has really shown since debuting in the BBU last year that she is a prospect to keep your eyes on.

Form wise Michelle is struggling, losing her last five fights that have some wondering if she has fallen off the cliff edge in terms of her ability to be an elite fighter, Florence beat Kate Mara in five rounds by knockout to score her fourth win in her short career, this would be her biggest scalp if she can win.

In the build up Michelle mostly kept to herself, just posting on her social media "I am ready to prove myself that I can be the Michelle Keegan that won titles and has been kicking arse for over a decade" along with a photo of herself to show how training is going.

While Florence took the time to talk to the FCBA Network's reporter Layla Anna-Lee at her stables gym, after finishing a workout with her coach Gillan Anderson, she stops outside the locker room wearing her black sports bra, tight black trunks and trainers.

Shaking the hand of Layla, Florence looks in a good mood, when asked about Michelle, Florence replies "I am so excited, Michelle has been one of the best from our country, been one of the faces of British boxing in the FCBA, so she has my respect" wiping her brow with a towel after.

Layla then asks will she be star struck when she fight Michelle, Florence chuckles before answering "simply I can't be unless I want an early nap, Michelle won't respect me one bit and I need to be the same once that bell rings, I can't waste my effort so far along with the time of Gillan to lose now, I want to be the new face of English boxing here" she gets a good luck from Layla, then heads off to shower.

Fighting time, out first comes Michelle with her coach Denise Lewis, she looks all business as she marches down the aisle, wearing a white sports bra, matching trunks and shoes, with black gloves, her hair is tied back into a ponytail.

Stepping into the ring Michelle flexes her arms for the camera as she looks in amazing shape, Denise looking proud of her work with Michelle, who is shadow boxing as her fans chant her name.

Here comes Florence with Gillan beside her, she is wearing a black sports bra, black trunks with red stripes down the sides, black shoes with red trim, red gloves, with her hair tied into a ponytail too.

She steps into the ring with a deep breath to calm any nerves she has, her fans chanting her name as the duelling chants begin, Florence high fives Gillan before going through her own warm up routine, knowing she has to be at her best to win this fight.

The fighters come to the center of the ring, they look over each other to see what they are up against, Florence knowing she is up against a motivated Michelle, they slam their gloves into their opponent's set before returning to their corners, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
Up on their toes trading jabs in the opening moments, Michelle is giving Florence a stern look behind her gloves, with Florence looking for an opening, Michelle sees an early chance to land something meaningful as she lands a jab/straight through the mitts of Pugh to her face.

As Florence takes a step back, she finds herself under fire as Michelle is quickly on her, banging away on the inside with short hooks to the body, Florence needing to push back the veteran with her left forearm, stinging her face with a double jab as she gets on the move.

After a bad opening minute where she was bullied back, the "Black Widow" star starts to put her punches together now, landing some nice one-two combos as Michelle is loading up a little too much, clearly Keegan wanting to make a statement at the expense of the younger woman.

Final minute to go, Michelle times her attack better as she knocks aside a jab with her right to pound a jab of her own into the lips of Florence, who she muscles onto the ropes, where she bangs in short hooks to the body, Florence's work is being smothered by Keegan, who traps her up until the bell rings, a great start for Michelle as she jogs back to her corner to a smiling Denise.

Round 2:
Knowing that Michelle is going to try to charge her early, Florence is boxing more on the move, leaning her upper body out the way of more punches aimed at her head, Florence is showing her quick reactions to counter punch, drilling them square into the face of her opponent to the delight of her fans.

Michelle shows her experience to start tagging the body more of Florence with straight shots, trying to press back the Hollywood star as she gets clipped across the top of her head, managing to get inside to land an uppercut to knock back Pugh towards the ropes, where she is held onto by Florence.

Broken up by the referee after a little grapple along the ropes, both are landing stiffer punches as they want to control things, heading to the halfway point in the round, Michelle tries to close in tighter but gets pegged into her nose with a double jab, a right then slams across her chin to turn her head.

Momentum swinging back to Florence as she swings in hard straight punches to the face of Keegan, snapping her head back till Michelle is cornered in a neutral corner, Florence getting held by the veteran, who smartly decides not to stay covered up, instead forcing the referee to split them up just before the bell rings, a better round for Pugh as she turns on her heels smiling, looking excited for more of this as Michelle stares angrily at her from behind.

Round 3:
Banging her gloves together before she heads out, Michelle is being forced to try to match Florence's early work rate, both dancing around the ring slamming in straight punches to faces, leading to their cheeks getting marked up as it's hard to tell whose getting the better of the action in the first thirty seconds.

Drilling a straight into the chest of Florence, that gives Michelle an opening to land a follow up left/right cross combo across the cheeks of Florence as her guard dips down, a straight then drills the LMW fighter into her forehead as she is being driven backwards.

Covering up as she moves around near the ropes, Florence having to weather a storm as Michelle is stretching her elbows, bullying the younger woman around the ring with a mixture of punches, once Florence gets comfortable blocking punches up towards her face, she is being caught around her waistband to make her groan out.

Less then a minute to go now, Florence sees her chance to counter attack as Michelle throws a right hook at her body, a jab lands on the right eye of Michelle to make her groan out as her head snaps back, a straight follows onto the nose of the former BBU champion to make her back off.

Seeing a chance to push the issue, Florence then steps into Michelle's space to land two uppercuts to the body, followed by a short left cross up top just before the round comes to an end, Michelle jogs to her corner not looking too bothered by the late rally from her opponent after what was another solid round for her.

Round 4:
Trying to get back to sticking and moving like the second round, Florence doubles up her jab to hammer into the top of her opponent's head, moving more side to side to help not get trapped by the veteran, with both fighters staring hard behind their gloves as there is a clear tension growing between them.

Michelle starts to time her movement, with a straight landing on the chin of Florence to snap back her head, AN OVERHAND LEFT SMACKS IN THE SAME SPOT TO SEND PUGH DOWN ONTO HER BUM! A ROAR ERUPTS AS MICHELLE TURNS TO FACE THE NEUTRAL CORNER WIPING HER FEET BEHIND HER!

1...2...3. Florence blinks and shakes her head to clear her vision, 4...5...6.. Pushing up to her right knee as her left foot is planted, Florence watches the count, 7...8... Getting up to her feet, Florence raises her fists to show she is OK, referee checking her over and giving her a nod that she can fight on.

Here comes Michelle with a minute to go, Florence needing to box defensive behind her jab, finds herself shoved into her own corner, where Keegan throws in power punches like hooks to the body and several uppercuts, Florence blocking most though the ones that get through have her grimacing till she can hang onto her opponent, the bell rings with Florence taking a deep breath, relieved to hear that as Gillan has to tap her on the shoulder to get her attention to move forwards so her stool can go into the ring for her to sit on.

Round 5:
So far it has been vintage Keegan, she comes out her corner looking to smack Florence early on, missing with several of her hooks and when she steps in with an uppercut, Florence steps back before landing a double jab around the right eye of Michelle, causing a mouse to form under it.

As they box around the ring, Florence slips a straight as she surprises Michelle by stepping into her with an uppercut buried into her solar plexus, Michelle gasps out before a left hook crashes into her ear, back retreats Michelle as she looks winded, Florence not giving her much time to recover as she comes on the attack.

A three punch combo lands square into the face of Michelle, who is finding herself struggling to protect herself from this onslaught, Florence is clearly motivated to make up the last round, bashing anywhere she sees an opening with surgical accuracy, causing Keegan to need to hang onto her.

Split apart as they head into the final minute of the round, Michelle isn't landing with the same power on her back foot, with an overhand left smacking on her jaw, Michelle wobbles backwards looking hurt as Gillan yells at her fighter to get at Michelle now.

A cut opens where the mouse was under Michelle's right eye to make matters worse for her, Florence pounding away up until the bell, arguably even without a knockdown Florence might have scored a 10-8 round of her own, Michelle has to be patched up in her corner as she doesn't look so sure now, eyes staring at the canvas.

Round 6:
Michelle pushes off her stool wanting to get at Florence, her hand speed seems to have suffered as well from that body shot that winded her, Florence slipping more punches then countering, a left hook lands across the cut on Michelle's face to make matters worse as she winces.

An uppercut snaps back the head of Michelle, who finds herself being beaten back onto the ropes by a barrage of punches, ANOTHER RIGHT UPPERCUT LANDS FLUSH AS MICHELLE STUMBLES FORWARDS BEFORE FALLING TO ALL FOURS!

Blood drips from the cut onto the canvas as Florence doesn't celebrate, she simply goes straight to the neutral corner, 1...2...3...4.. Michelle isn't moving as she is blinking to clear her vision, head down as 5...6...7.. Denise is yelling at her to get up, 8.. It doesn't look like she has the strength to do so, 9...10 it's over!

Winner Florence Pugh KO Round 6

After:
Win number five for Florence in her overall career, this her biggest win as she jumps for joy, the crowd whistles and applauds her as she raises her blood stained gloves above her head, a big beaming smile on her beautiful marked up face.

As soon as Michelle is helped to sit on her stool, Florence shows her class by going over to check on her, she is met by a death stare though as Michelle isn't in the mood for her, Florence can be seen gulping as Michelle might be scarier now after a defeat then when they were fighting, the winner nodding then jogging to her corner.

With Pugh's back turned Michelle let's out a pained groan before staring at the canvas, Denise cleaning up her face with a sponge as she tells her fighter "you can't feel sorry for yourself, you know that you have to get back into the gym on Monday to keep this rebuild going, hell you looked better then you have in months there" Michelle looks up for a moment then nods as she knows Denise is right.

The crowd applaud both women as they are now cleaned up, heading to the middle of the ring for the final result to be announced, Florence gets her right arm raised to a loud cheer from her fans, all Michelle can do is looking to the lights thinking it should be me, then walk away to give the winner the spotlight.

As Keegan heads to the back she should be more positive, she looks in great shape and refocused again, one win is possibly is it will take for her to finally find her mojo once again, she is still young enough for at least one more serious run towards a title.

For Florence well she is posing in the ring with Gillan, right arm flexed for Florence while the left is for Gillan, both sticking their tongues out playfully to the camera as they laugh afterwards, hugging as Gillan tells Florence how proud she is of her so far.

They leave the ring together with Florence maybe the best prospect in celebrity boxing right now, beating a motivated Michelle Keegan is no mean feat, question is who is next for Pugh as she marches towards the top?
