Intro:
Two of the hottest in form bantamweights right now clash, Kaya Scodelario comes into this fight on a four of her last six, Saoirse though trumps that with seven straight wins, which has caused the hashtag "#giveSaoirseachance" to trend over the FCBA social media feed, plenty seeing Saoirse deserving of a stable and even a title shot at the bantamweight title.

Kaya was asked about this by the FCBA Network reporter Layla Anna-Lee as she stepped into the arena, rolling her eyes Kaya responds "I don't care if fans think she deserves a shot at anything, she has only just started to show she can actually win in the ring, I am here to put her back in her place, that's all my focus is" storming past Layla when she finishes, giving the reporter a little shoulder bump.

On the other hand Saoirse gave an interview to the FCBA Networks primetime show host Lucy Liu, after questions about her acting career, she is asked what her thoughts on the public's support for her is, Saoirse blushes a little as clearly she is embarrassed by how much support she is getting.

After taking a moment she replies "it is truly heartwarming to hear, a friend told me about it as I was busy training, I guess my success has been catching peoples eyes, honestly two years ago I wondered if I was right leaving the safety of a steady job being a cut woman for the Foxfire Atlantic Boxing stable, now I know it was worth it with the run I am on and the love of my fans" she smiles warmly as she speaks, the redness of her cheeks gone as she shows pride in herself.

Lucy then stirs the pot a little by asking how she feels about someone way below her in the rankings getting a shot, Saoirse gives a smirk as she looks at Lucy like "what are you trying to pull?" Then answers "Naomi (Scott) is a hell of a champion and Harumi (Nemoto) has been the ironwoman of the FCBA with all the fights she has had in such a short space of time, I get that people like to stir the pot about things like that, I have nothing against waiting for the title shot, I hope to earn on soon enough" Lucy nodding as she knows the pot comment was for her.

Final question is finally about Kaya, Saoirse answering "she is tough, I know she has been a top ten contender for a long time, so to defeat her will be my biggest test so far, I have proven so far I can take on any test, this will be a lot of fun" grinning looking excited, before shaking the hand of Lucy to end the interview.

Fight night, Kaya is out first with Hilary Swank beside her and cut woman Eva Carneiro behind them, Kaya is wearing a blue sports bra, blue trunks with red stripes down the sides, matching shoes, red gloves, while her hair is tied up into a ponytail, she looks all business tonight as she marches towards the ring.

She gets into the ring, raising her arms into the air as she looks out to the crowd, who are whistling and cheering her, shadow boxing to warm up, Hilary managing sure to tell her to not take Saoirse lightly, Kaya nodding as she bangs her gloves together.

Here comes Saoirse walking down the aisle with her coach beside her, she is all smiles as she gets a loud roar from her supporters, she is wearing an emerald green sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and gloves, her hair tied into a ponytail.

Getting into the ring, Saoirse thanks the crowd for their support, then gets down to business as she warms up, expression changing to more serious as she punches as she walks side to side, nodding to herself as she tells herself "you can do this" coach smiling as they tell her she is right.

The referee brings the fighters together, bouncing on their toes as they eye each other up, once the final instructions are finished, they slam their gloves hard into their opponent's set, jogging back to their corners as the crowd seems more firmly behind Ronan, when they are ready the bell rings to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
Starting off behind their jabs in text book orthodox stances, Saoirse is the one starting off a little more on the front foot, stepping in with her punches as the crowd roar with each clean hit she scores, getting clipped to her cheeks though by some counter cross punches to show she has to be careful.

After the opening thirty seconds, Kaya finally lands a hard shot as she slips a jab to hammer in a counter right across the jaw of her opponent, a double jab then follows to make Saoirse take a step back, where Kaya is on her with short digging punches to the body till she is shoved back to range.

Landing several good clean punches through her English opponents guard to her face, Saoirse finishes the first half of the round on the front foot, pressing Scodelario now back to the outside part of the ring in these back and forth style exchanges, head down as she works the body herself.

An uppercut after Saoirse is bumped back though causes the blonde fighters head to snap back, less then a minute to go and it is Kaya on the attack, driving back Saoirse into a neutral corner with some clubbing punches around her guard, causing Ronan to shell up as the seconds tick away.

At the bell Kaya arguably has just about won the round with that late flurry at the end, as Kaya jogs to her corner, behind her Saoirse nods as she knows she is in for a tough fight tonight, returning to her own corner to be met with advice from her smiling coach, who doesn't look too worried by her losing control there.

Round 2:
Now warmed up both women let their hands go more, slamming punches through gaps in the others defences as they box around the center of the ring, eyes locked in determined stares as they seek openings for their heavier handed punches.

Kaya is the one to try to look for it first with a left hook that grazes the cheek of Saoirse, her follow up right hook misses as the blonde leans out the way, instead a one-two combo lands flush into the face of Kaya, who finds themselves being bullied back as Ronan now opens up on them in close range.

Keeping shoving back Saoirse, Kaya has lost control of the action as the Irish lass is pushing the tempo up a notch, forcing heated exchanges around the ring, Kaya finding herself being herded near the ropes as she tries to match the work rate of her opponent, missing with some sloppy shots as Saoirse slips them then counters to snap back her head.

By time they are heating into the final minute Kaya has to clinch up as her back touches the ropes, Saoirse trying to break free so she can keep on top of this, once broken up Kaya is trying to earn her respect by stepping in nearly chest to chest, toe to toe go the fighters all the way up until the bell rings to end the round, a good solid return round for Ronan as she gets a loud cheer from her supporters.

Round 3:
It's Kaya's turn to respond to adversity, she is stepping in and out of range more, trying to gain control of how this fight is being fought, making Saoirse miss a few big shots in the opening thirty seconds, then countering with two to three punch quick fire combos into her face.

When Kaya is trying to unload her more heavy artillery, Saoirse is smart enough to back off and let the punches sail pass her beautifully face, after the first minute has passed Kaya misses with a left cross, INSTEAD SAOIRSE LANDS A SHORT LEFT UPPERCUT TO THE BODY, THEN LANDS ONE UNDER THE CHIN OF KAYA TO SEND HER ONTO HER BACK!

The fans are on their feet roaring as Saoirse is all smiles, jogging to her neutral corner as Hilary looks stunned to see her fighter on the deck, 1...2...3... Kaya sits up on her elbows shaking her head to clear some cobwebs out, 4...5...6.. Turning to her front and grabbing the ropes, 7...8.. Kaya drags herself to her feet, turning to the referee with her fists raised, showing she is ready for more.

Here comes Saoirse when they are ordered to fight, Kaya needing to use her experience to hold and jab her way through the charges from her opponent, with Ronan able to land some good body and even sneaky shots to the chest of Scodelario, not able to land another big shot though to end this fight now as the bell dings to end things for the moment, Saoirse making a big statement this round that she can hurt Kaya.

Round 4:
On comes Saoirse early as she wants to finish things clearly now, throwing some looping hooks to the body, Kaya drilling several punches into the top of the head of Saoirse to keep her from overrunning her, a right cross able to knock back the blonde as her head gets turned.

Coming together again as Kaya looks a little more confident, Saoirse catches her out again, dipping under a straight to land a right hook to the body, then an overhand right lands across the bridge of the English fighters nose, opening a cut on it to make Kaya groan out as she backs out.

Saoirse presses forwards, digging in short body shots to try to open up Kaya, getting some clipping punches in return to the side of her head as she bullies Kaya onto the ropes, where she gets held onto by Scodelario, referee needing to step in as the brunette digs in short hooks into the kidneys of Ronan.

Final minute to go with Kaya starting to get a little more rhythm as she boxes off the back foot, letting the Irish fighter come at her, she isn't enjoying getting clocked onto that cut, with a double jab opening her up to a right cross that turns her head, giving Ronan another chance to work Scodelario on the ropes with less then twenty seconds to go, banging away with short hooks around the guard up until the bell rings to end proceedings.

Returning to their corners, Kaya looks annoyed that she is getting worked harder then she clearly though she would have in this fight, Saoirse meanwhile looks relaxed as she sits down, enjoying herself as she looks ready to come back out to resume fighting.

Round 5:
Working around the middle of the ring, Saoirse pushing the action early on by slinging in hooks as Kaya has to box on the defensive, drilling in a few jabs into the mouth of the blonde as she covers up tighter then before, looking for a big punch off her back foot.

A missed right cross opens up Saoirse to a straight into her chin, a left cross smacks into the jaw of Ronan, she finds herself being pressed back into her corner, Kaya landing on the gloves of the Irish fighter, trying to land a power punch to really hurt her opponent, who holds onto her to force the referee to step in to break them up.

Back into open space Saoirse starts to pump more punches into the abs of Kaya to make her groan out, Kaya stepping towards the ropes, with a missed straight that gives the brunette an opening to land a counter right onto the ear of the blonde, Saoirse getting a little too open with her attacks now.

An uppercut forces Saoirse onto her heels as they enter the final forty seconds, backed onto the ropes by Kaya, she is getting hit more as the former champion switches up her targets more, banging in straight punches to the body, along with several overhand shots to the side of her opponent's head, Saoirse landing single punches out her guard to try to ward off Scodelario.

At the end of the round the boos ring out, Kaya doesn't look bothered at all as she walks to her corner looking more confident again, like she knows now how to stop Saoirse after being on the back foot, the Irish fighter nodding to her corner crew as she has a little redness around her left cheek, not pleased with herself for a bad round after a good run of rounds on her side.

Round 6:
Still looking to push the pace Saoirse lands a good one-two combo right away through her opponent's mitts, just missing with a left hook as Kaya gets her gloves up in time, crowd on the side of the popular Irish lass as they watch her coming forwards.

An uppercut catches her on her chin to stop the charge, a left hook then catches Saoirse under her right eye to turn her head, Saoirse finding herself being pushed back by Kaya, trying to grab onto Kaya but another left hook catches her on her chin to turn her head, BACK GOES SAOIRSE TOWARDS THE ROPES, A RIGHT HOOK SENDS HER DOWN TO ALL FOURS!

There's a mixture of boos and cheers as Kaya heads to the neutral corner, 1...2...3.. Saoirse crawls to the ropes to grab onto them, 4...5...6.. Getting up to a knee, 7...8.. But she slips as she is badly buzzed, 9...10 onto her left side as Saoirse as she is counted out!

Winner Kaya Scodelario KO Round 6

After:
Walking back to her corner with her arms in the air and a cocky smile, Kaya is given a hug by Hilary then Eva, another win for the former champion on her road back towards the top, though the crowd isn't exactly pleased that she pulled this off after being behind on the scorecards.

While Saoirse has to be helped over to her stool by her coach, she looks understandably upset after losing her run, looking to the heavens as she apologizes to her coach, who tells her this is a small bump in the road, Saoirse getting an arm around her shoulder to console her.

Both women are getting cleaned up as Kaya gets the cut on her nose patched up, Saoirse getting wiped down of sweat with some swelling being worked on around her left side of her face, afterward they come to the center of the ring for the final result to be announced, Kaya getting her right hand raised as boos ring out, Saoirse showing her class by applauding Kaya.

Over comes Saoirse after as she shakes hands with Kaya, the winner looks a little shocked, nodding as she shakes the offered hand, Saoirse saying "I can't wait for our rematch" Kaya simply laughs as she pats her on her left shoulder, showing no ill feelings between them.

Leaving the ring, Saoirse gets a heroes reception even after losing, clearly the fans seeing more potential to come from her, she sheds a few tears of joy as she looks around the crowd, stunned by the reaction, enjoying it as she waves to the fans on her way to the back.

In the ring Kaya poses for the cameras almost lost to the crowd, raising her fists as she stares at the camera, then leaving the ring once she is done, not bothering to celebrate that much, most likely hoping to celebrate in the stable locker room, hoping tonight is a sign of her stepping into the title picture again.
