BEFORE:
"Shay was one of the very few who actually managed to beat me early on,” Bella says first with a half-hearted nod from the press table.

The flaming redhead has recently come off two important wins on her way back to title contention, first KO-ing Luisana Lopilato in six rounds and then doing the same to famed Bond girl Ana de Armas just last month. Bella glances over at Shay across the table, before continuing:

“I was still pretty new back then, so that makes some sense, she was a 7 year veteran. Now though? No f*cking way. I'm here to even the score. You're here to watch. She's here to get knocked the f*ck out. Let's go."

“I remember hearing those same words three years ago,” Shay begins with a shake of her head. “Mighty Bella f*cking Thorne was the next big thing since sliced bread, and the end result was her lying flat at my feet, after which we went for a nice little Walk-of-Shame. Nothing has changed three years later. I’m afraid Thorne is about to get the same treatment after I’m done with her tonight… and then I’m gonna make sure she stays away for good!”

Ladies look almost identical in terms of stature and build, with Bella’s half-inch height difference as good as negligible. Of course, Bella has done LOADS since her first loss to Mitchell, becoming a multi-time Bantamweight and JMD champion and all that jazz. Shay, on the other hand, has floundered with an up-and-down win-loss record from year to year, the last time holding a title being all the way back in 2017.

Bella is still mouthing off to her on stage, with Shay gesturing and pointing back rudely, and the two Bantamweight prospects have to be kept clear apart from each other by the intervening ring officials. Let them brawl! is what the fans in the room are shouting from the back, but both veterans know better than to waste their energies in a pre-fight segment that would accomplish nothing but bragging rights.

Fight night finally rolls around and the fans are up from their seats, as silver sparklers twist in the air before an explosion of fireworks signals Bella Thorne’s grand entrance into the arena. Bella’s dressed in a red bikini top and black long tights hugging her slim figure, red gloves on her hands and that fiery hair flowing in the wind as she dances down the ramp accompanied by coach Loken and the Dollhouse team. Mitchell’s entrance is almost as spectacular moments later, the Canadian actress shaking her hips as she strides onto the stage in a white sports bra, black and green boxing trunks and dark green gloves, her dark hair in a tight ponytail. Mitchell waves a pair of yellow gloves to the fans, earning a scowl from Thorne as she enters the ring herself.

Referee calls this match to order, and what a fight it will be! Two prospective challengers for Bantamweight champion Naomi Scott to choose from (it’s still her prerogative) with the winner of this bout possibly gaining title implications! There’s the wave of the hand and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Bella instantly wants to show dominance, moving in fast and deadly as she scoots left and right, initiating the action with one-two combos that streak in to test the waters and Shay’s resolve. Mitchell reacts fast, dodging to the side, her head weaving sideways with equal speed, but it’s clear that the former champion is also weighing her options this early in the fight, spending more time defending against Bella’s attacks than actually trying to land any of her own punches. Mitchell had a lot of tough words for the Doll earlier, but there’s no doubt that she’s hit some sort of rough spell in recent months after losing consecutive fights to Priyanka Chopra and Saoirse Ronan in her only two encounters this entire year. Bella, on the other hand, is a seasoned veteran and just getting started, planting a firm cross straight into Shay’s nose, knocking her head back early on and earning a shout of triumph from the Dollhouse corner. Shay growling back, finally springing forward into action. But it’s too little, too late, her punches wild and missing all over the place, and the bell rings soon after with Thorne easily taking it wide!

ROUND 2:
Once Shay gets into the mood and groove, however, things are bound to get spicy. Round starts off slow and easy, like the first, with Bella keeping herself away and overly cautious, sending one-two jab combos into the arms and occasionally hitting Mitchell to her toned body. Good enough results for the Doll thus far, who looks on track to take this round for herself again. That is, until Shay hits back with a jab to her cheek, the Canadian fighter immediately powering another right hand follow-up clean into Bella’s face, which bunches up the Doll’s cheek. Thorne left surprised, but not hurt other than her pride. The Doll tries to scoot backwards to gain even more distance, but Mitchell ain’t letting her go this easily, pounding away on her body with more left-right combos, and Bella is forced to defend herself till the very end. It’s Mitchell’s turn to let out a shout of triumph once the bell rings, knowing she did more than enough in the second half to turn the tide. Our scoreboards show her edging Bella out slightly, but not decisively. Not yet, at least.

ROUND 3:
Thorne is opting to stay far away now, cautious and careful movements, her punches sent straight at the incoming Mitchell. It’s uncharacteristic of the Doll, who is known often for her outright aggression. Mitchell looks to capitalise on what she perceives as weakness, rushing in repeatedly to try and batter Bella’s door down and floor the redhead where she stands. Each time, however, Thorne turns the tables with a precise straight punch that catches Shay on the side of the face or shoved stiffly into the lips, with Mitchell letting out another grunt when a low hook catches her on the ribs, which effectively blunts her attack. Thorne’s looking more and more like a million dollars, her perseverance paying off by the end of the round with another wide win for her corner.

ROUND 4:
The massacre continues, with Mitchell trying to pierce the Doll’s defences and laid back attitude, but her underestimation of Bella’s defenses (and lack of aggression) makes her wide open to counterattack, Thorne punishing the PLP starlet with an early step-in hook across the face, almost sending Mitchell spiraling into the ropes there and then. All Bella has to do is keep up the abuse, with her momentum slowly sapping her opponent of power and resolve. Third minute and Shay has had enough, apparently, growling low and her face behind raised gloves as she admits defeat and chooses to stay away, the two fighters resolved to circling each other from afar and throwing jabs at the head, without much result either way. Mitchell was in danger of going down earlier this round but managed to stay alive by virtue of Bella refusing to close in for the kill…Whether that was the wisest decision or not, we’ll have to wait and see.

ROUND 5:
Thorne’s just waiting to pounce, perhaps instructed by her corner to only do so when the iron is red-hot and she’s guaranteed a knockdown attempt. No such rules for Mitchell, who reignites her testing of the Doll’s defences with frequent probes up high to the arms and pokes at her belly down south. Thorne’s letting out grunts as her abs take a beating, Mitchell smirking with glee as she throws a feint up high before packing a low hook into the redhead’s stomach, which momentarily busts the air out of her frame. Bella stays the course, however, simply scooting away and continues her jabbing at Shay’s head, and to be fair, the Doll is also scoring back with crisp punches to Shay’s mouth or knocking her head back with a grunt. But there’s just not enough power or hurt there to keep Mitchell away for good. The round ends and Shay scores a tight comeback for herself, with the girls effectively even overall if we’re keeping track.

ROUND 6:
Thorne may be looking for an opening that’s refusing to arrive, as Shay bounces forward again and threatens to overwhelm her position with a flurry of punches tossed at her head. Thorne’s too busy covering up, her feet moving rapidly as her back skirts the extent of the ropes. She doesn’t want to get cornered, even if Shay isn’t well-known for her punching power. Both girls are instead better known for their agility and prowess, with Mitchell keeping pace with the Doll and successfully tossing her head back with an overhand swing that connects with her forehead. Bella looks shocked but continues her retreat, didn’t see that right hand coming till it landed straight between her eyes. She still has her wits about her to cover up though as another one-two combo slams into the middle of her guard. But the Doll doesn’t see the third swing coming in low and fast, Shay letting out a shout of triumph as her right hand is drilled into Bella’s body, making the Doll lurch forward with a groan, her eyes bulging. Thorne’s in trouble! She gets pushed into the ropes by Mitchell, has to somehow clinch up with an overeager Canadian who’s hungry to take her out a second time around! Bella holding onto Shay’s shoulders and clutching her waistline, Shay just SHOVING her fists into her body over and over again, even more punches buried up into her chest in JMD style action, till Bella takes a final rocking shot across her bow, which sends her REELING off to the side - AND DOWN THE FORMER CHAMPON!! Bella sent tumbling to the ground, landing in a heap by the ropes, looking groggy as all hell! Shay already parading herself back to her corner, arms up in the air and booty shaking, as the referee quickly scampers over and starts the count! 1…2….3….Disaster for the Dollhouse…but Thorne’s awake at least, pushing herself off her back, then doing her best to latch onto the ropes with both hands and haul the rest of her protesting body up along with her as the referee counts her out. 4…5….6….7….A final surge upwards, however, has her legs wobbling dangerously before coming right back DOWN to her knees, her head still swimming rapidly from that last combo from Mitchell! 8….9…10!!! That’s it! A groggy Bella left wilted over the middle rope as the referee’s count passes over her slumped shoulders! IT’S OVER!!

Official Decision: Shay Mitchell defeats Bella Thorne via KO6!

AFTER:
HUGE win for Shay Mitchell tonight, the Pretty Little Puncher is back in shape with her first win of the year and what a win it is! Knocking out Bella Thorne twice in 3 years is not a feat anyone can scoff at and Shay knows it, walking over to the center of the ring to get her hand raised, posing for the fans to the sound of some very loud cheers.

Bella meanwhile, a sorry sight indeed as the former champion is still slumped on the ropes when the Dollhouse’s medical staff get to her, the redhead looking teary eyed and hurting, barely able to register what goes on around her as she is helped to a sitting position by the ropes.

But it seems Shay can’t help herself, the amused brunette walks over to Bella, towering over the defeated redhead. “Shall we do this again Bella…?” she asks the Doll, intending to take Bella on another round of the dreaded walk of shame, but gets nothing in response from the befuddled Dollhouse star. “Can she walk?” Shay then turns to Thorne’s medical team, who immediately shake their heads in a silent ‘no’.

“Err…Oh well….maybe next time, Bella. If you’re ever stupid enough to challenge me again, that is.” Mitchell pats the defeated Thorne on the head, asserting her dominance one last time before leaving the ring, a big, satisfied smirk on her face.

On her way backstage, Shay is interviewed by reporters. “Bella needs to show a lot more respect to other FCBA veterans. If she thinks she’s going to just automatically win every fight just because she’s Bella Thorne….well….” she laughs. “Bella Thorne can’t beat Shay Mitchell, it seems. I’m going to beat her back to reality every single time. She knows where to find me if she’s foolish enough to ever want a reminder of that. And next time, I WILL make her walk. Or CRAWL, if necessary.”

Shay chuckles, then turns to her fans, waving and blowing them a kiss before disappearing with her team behind the curtains, taking home a very impressive win.
