Nicola Cavanis challenges Barbara Palvin
Story by BenLegend443, Results by Lookout.

Nicola and the founder are at the venue, waiting for their opponent.

“I’ve fought her before. Why again so soon?”

“Establishment of dominance. Revolution is a struggle, but it need not have unnecessary struggle. Palvin will never come after you again if you beat her this time, and I have full confidence that you can.”

“Really? She’s no pushover.”

“Nicola über allens, über allens in der Welt. You’ll be fine.” Then Barbara arrives and the match begins in earnest.

R1: Nicola’s opener catches Barbara unawares, and it puts her on the back foot. She pushes her to the ropes, hitting her all over in the process. Barbara manages to throw a few punches of her own, but even fewer hit. She then turns to defense, hoping to hold Nicola off until she can find her footing, and she is more successful than she was trying to fight back. Nicola’s punches slam into her arms; by the time the round is over, Barbara is numb.

R2: Palvin finds her footing and in herself the will to fight, and it is Nicola who finds herself retreating. Nicola walls up well, and even manages to land a few return punches. Her opponent is fast, though, and sticks her in the chest with a punch that nearly knocks her down. Nicola holds, and punches Barbara in the stomach, prompting an exchange of punches that lasts until the end of the round.

R3: Barbara dodges Nicola’s round three opener, but its sheer power puts her on the back foot anyway. She retreats while fighting, giving Nicola a hard time. But she soon reaches the rope, and there the “fighting retreat” strategy falls apart. Nicola penns her in and gives her a good thrashing with her fists.

R4: Barbara decides to open round 4, and Nicola, who has been the aggressor, is caught off guard. Round 3 plays itself over with the roles reversed.

R5: Barbara begins to flag in round five despite her corner’s best efforts to keep her going, and Nicola takes advantage of that, seizing control of the match. She hits Barbara in the head repeatedly, stunning her, and her opponent struggles to defend. The situation quickly spirals out of Barbara’s control, and by the end of the round, the question is no longer whether she would lose. It is when.

R6: Barbara holds on valiantly, but in minute 3, Nicola finishes her off with an uppercut to the chin, knocking her out cold. Barbara falls onto her back and does not stir until the ref finishes counting her out.

Winner: Nicola Cavanis via KO6!
