Federica Nargi vs Rochelle Humes

BEFORE: Italian TV showgirl Federica Nargi bested veteran Christine Bleakley on the Lioness Club COVID Relief card last month and wanted to spend some time on local beaches to celebrate that success only to find former BBU champion Rochelle Humes mocking her on social media instead. Federica realizes this might be THE chance to enter the lightweight title picture as former champion's scalp is always valued a little more than others and with Elisabetta Gregoraci stumbling into an upset defeat lately, suddenly there's room for a new Italian #1 in the 130 lbs division. That's what Federica believes anyway and who are we to question her ambitions?

One person who has other ideas is the former The Saturdays singer who is relieved nobody mocks her failed FCBA foray anymore: "I got the blues back! I'm ready to pounce on the BBU again, Alessandra Ambrosio is heading towards the exit door and now I'm gonna kick Federica out of her own beach to settle down as true #1 contender again! Bring it on, bytch!"

Federica Nargi wears a light blue bikini set & white gloves. Long dark brown hair loose & straight. Rochelle Humes wears a black bikini set with orange & turquoise trim & silver gloves. Shoulder-lenght dark brown hair straight. Both fighters are barefoot. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Rochelle wastes little time in stalking the Italian on the jabbing pounce but Federica plans to roll over the former champ fast and crashes into her face with inspired venom that splits the Brit's high guard and leaves her vulnerable when the local favorite begins to stack up her punches. Raven Lyn might have secured the KO of the Night award already but maybe Fede has other ideas as she slugs the more accomplished foe from both flanks and glues her to the spot in the process. Rochelle is the superior power-puncher by all accounts but she loses the exchange by the numbers and wobbles to the side as Nargi nails her on the boobs and reaches out with a scything cross hook on the nose to raise the cheering volume around the Gaiola Beach! Rochelle tries to beat her for the overhand swing but even though she lands her punches into the younger brunette's face, she can't shake her off the slugging pounce and has to clinch the Italian in the closing stages anyway.

Round 2:
Both women exchange more slugging venom and it's a blow-by-blow trade-off until Federica reaches low and crashes into the Brit's tummy. She almost headbutts her in the chin as well before Humes spins her around and almost pulls her by the arm to trigger a brief wrestling action. The ref doesn't like that and issues a quick warning which distracts Rochelle enough to soak up a quick-fire jabbing assault as Federica breaks through upstairs and bombs away to snap the singer's head back & forth. Humes tries to swing back with some of her trademark power strikes but she gets outworked in close range again and has to clinch the charging Italian in the closing stages as Nargi still belts her in the navel with both women muscling away at the ropes at the bell.

Round 3:
Back & forth slugging kicks some extra sand on the Gaiola Beach but Federica gets the better of the exchanges again as Rochelle becomes too dependant on the power-punching supply. She licks the showgirl with some good shots but gets outworked to the body and Nargi thumps her on the boobs before flocking the ribcage area with more pesky hits. Rochelle gets upset by the phone booth barrage and shoves the younger brunette away, she blasts her on the nose a couple of times but misses on the follow through and eats a stinger on the rack herself as Fede works to the inside and pummels the chaotic Brit back to the ropes where she tackles more tummy and forces Humes to clinch her in visible discomfort.

Round 4:
Rochelle ignites some speed into her attacks and she finally beats Federica for the initial burst that punishes the Italian's lips and leaves her stuck in the open. Humes swings over the top and nails the fellow brunette on the temple before bouncing off the top of her forehead thereafter. Still, Nargi loses her balance and almost goes down here as Humes still licks her on the boobs and sends tripping back onto the ropes. Rochelle rolls out with the jackhammer and blasts the high guard away to rough the TV showgirl up much to the crowd's dismay! Uh-oh! Federica slumps into loud spasms once she gets hit in the face repeatedly and Humes seeks the put away glory as she tears a small cut across the nasal ridge and wraps her foe in a proper head-hunting vacuum. Uh-oh! Fede slumps on some gimpy knees here but survives the onslaught as Humes seeths into her face at the bell and vows to "knock her out in the fifth!"

Round 5:
Rochelle is ready to disfigure the Italian's face right here and comes in hot but she just fails to clip Federica's nose with her initial combo and suddenly gets whacked on the boobs as Nargi goes on the uppercut rampage and drills the singer's chest from both flanks. She lands a quick headbutt on the chin as well but that will never be called on the Italian venue before a looping left hook bursts into Rochelle's nostrils and slumps her forward with a whimper. Federica checks up and SMOKES the wobbly Brit with a chin-checking piledriver that WHIPS HUMES ONTO HER BACK kicking up more sand as the lanky Brit hits the deck! Uh-oh! Where did that come from! Federica almost hurt her wrist by landing that shot however Humes remains stunned by the experience and spits out sand from her mouth at first. She gets up on all fours at six and makes a wobbly recovery at eight while staring down the fellow brunette. She drags herself into a jabbing response but Fede lights it up over the top and barges her mitts into the singer's nose landing two.... three... make that four straight punches before she drops low and pierces the solar plexus with another nasty shot. Ugh! Rochelle slumps on soft knees and almost spits out her gumshield as the Italian rifles her on both temples next... Rochelle tries to clinch the model but Nargi will not let her off the hook anymore and crashes into her chin with a quick uppercut double... HUMES DROPS TO HER KNEES following that series and wobbles back with more spasms as she simply can't fend off the dizziness anymore. The Naples audience is ready to spill the wine as the British tourist is duly counted out while sitting on her heels! KO5 Federica Nargi!!!

AFTER: Maybe we have a new leader in the Italian lightweight pack after all? Federica kicks sand into Rochelle's chest and face and shouts "This is my beach, cow! Go back to frickin' Eastbourne or whatever!" She eventually lifts the aching singer onto her feet and parades her around the ring in Walk of Shame aftermath before driving her face down into the sand again. Gloves are removed and Federica gets to drink a glass of wine - her first of many tonight - before dragging the former champion by the hair and forcing her to lick her feet much to the crowd's additional delight. Ugh! Rochelle has lost all of her brash edge here and duly worships the Italian's feet before the model plants her right sole on her face and shoves her back onto the sand. If the Christine Bleakley decision barely registered on the contender-o-meter then tonight's punchout of one of BBU's elites will surely raise Federica's profile on the double! No wonder she can't stop smiling when she leaves the ring to steal the afterparty highlights!
