Two blondes face of in the opening fight of the evening, as 37 year old Sarah takes on 33 year old Rachel. Sarah has lost the majority of her 29 fights, and she is incredibly unpredictable, beating some good girls, but losing to no-hopers. She hasn’t fought since Olympia Vallance beat her up in February 2018, cutting her badly, and breaking her nose. Rachel has fought sporadically, losing her most recent venture in 8 rounds against Shona McGarty, who knocked her senseless once she had her exhausted

Sarah’s beauty is a thing of the past, really, but she still has a good body, and looks good in her black leather one-piece outfit, whilst pretty Rachel is more demure in a tight white t-shirt and pale blue high leg shorts. There’s no particular animostity on show, and the blondes bump gloves in the centre of the ring

Round 1
The girls are in no hurry as the fight begins, Sarah stalking Rachel, keeping mobile, and sending out enough stiff jabs to keep her younger rival at bay, Rachel needing to up her workrate, but she’s content to let the older girl show her what she can do early on, the she fights back, and punches Sarah solidly, landing head jolting jabs and a few crosses to follow up, Sarah not looking too clever as those gloves rap into her face, but she at last covers and clinches to stop Rachel from hitting her any more, but the referee soon drags her clear, and now Rachel tries hitting Sarah to her body, but the singer repels her, and hits her hard in the mouth, Rachel defending, then clipping Sarah with a solid left and right hook combination as she claims the opening round

Round 2
Stung by what Rachel did in the first round, Sarah is more aggressive as round two begins, and she hits and hurts the younger girl with a heavy left hook to her body, taut as it is, which makes the pretty graduate groan and writhe, going backwards, and she’s a pretty easy target for Sarah now, the singer taking advantage, and she crashes a couple of hard punches into Rachel’s face, spreading the girl against the ropes, and this might be over real soon, as Sarah closes in to do a number on Rachel, lifting her head up with a sweet uppercut, and she’s got her set up to finish right here, only to mess up by mistiming a left hook, Rachel ducking her head so that Sarah’s glove hits the hard top of her skull instead of the soft flesh of her cheek, and Sarah yelps, shaking her left arm, Rachel recovering, and landing a couple of jabs in Sarah’s face whilst the singer is distracted

Round 3
It’s clear that Sarah has damaged her left hand, because she isn’t throwing any punches with it as the third round starts, although Rachel is unusually slow in realising her opponents weakness, but when she gets the picture she gives her some tasty jabs to her face, then whips in some neat right hand shots under her weakened left arm, her gloves tearing into Sarah’s ribcage, making her back away, looking in pain, the singer gingerly testing her left with a jab when Rachel gets careless, and, although it must have hurt, she still caused Rachel some trouble, and she works the younger blonde to the ropes again, although not convincingly this time, and Rachel turns her and hits her neatly and sharply with a left and a right to her face, Sarah looking shabby at the end of a tough round

Round 4
Rachel’s in the ascendancy now, and she gives Sarah some rough treatment as the round begins, pushing her back and punching her to her reddening face, trying to close her into a corner – but Sarah’s resisting, and hits Rachel in the gut with some sharp little punches, and that seems to have upset her, making her step back, and she finds Rachel’s face with her right hand, still not really risking her left, but she’s boxing the younger girl pretty decently with her one good hand, hits her again, and has her wobbling, Rachel hurt, teetering, and on the ropes again, Sarah not able to completely dominate her, but she still catches her with two decent right crosses, Rachel bleeding from her lips, but she manages to fight back before the end of the round, and at last she takes advantage of the singer’s weakness, thudding hrd right hooks into her face over her damaged guarding left arm.

Round 5
Between rounds, Rachel’s corner have told their girl to attack Sarah hard through the next round, whilst the singer is being treated for a painful looking bump on her left cheek, which Rachel finds with a solid right hand as soon as the y resume, Sarah hurt now, and stooping as she wheels backwards, Rachel getting after her, clubbing left and right hooks into her face, Sarah staggering slightly, eats a beautiful right hook, and goes down. The singer tries to get back up, but she can’t and that’s all there is for these two!

Result: Rachel Riley knocked out Sarah Harding in round 5

Rachel’s arms are raised in victory, and she rubs Sarah’s head in sympathy as the older girl weeps on her stool, but that may just restore Rachel’s confidence after her recent defeats.
