(Lioness Club vs Free Agent)

Intro:
The opening bout tonight here in London's Gaslight Club sees Heidi Range look to try to stop the undefeated run of Helen Skelton, will Heidi do it or can Helen keep showing why she is feared in some quarters.

Heidi is 36 years old; she stands 5'2, holding a record of 19 wins, 16 coming by way of knockout, with 13 defeats.

Helen is also 36 years old; she stands 5'3, holding an undefeated record of 2 wins, both coming by way of knockout.

This fight is seen as a big step up for Helen, the Sports Personality boxing champ has beaten the likes of Louise Redknapp and Michelle Heaton, with Heidi a former BBU title contender.

Special guest interviewer Carly Baker heads into the Lioness changing room to see Heidi warming up with her coach Mel B telling her what to do tonight, both stop when they see the ring girl walk in.

"Hey Carly, I have heard that my management team likes Helen, I'll admit she seems a nice girl, but as my coach here will tell you, nice girls finish last" Heidi tells Carly as she stretches her arms.

When Carly asks about if she is worried that Helen is undefeated, Heidi smirks as she answers "Carly she hasn't beaten anyone, I'd fancy you to beat both her opponents with one arm tied behind your back, look she is a cute boxer, I am a real fighter though"

With Heidi adding "anyway I am on my way back up the rankings, remember I have won my last three fights, hopefully people will recognize I am still one of the toughest in that ring to beat after tonight" Mel smiling as she tells Carly that her time is up.

Carly taking the hint and moving across the hall to enter Skelton's changing room, the Carlisle lass is shadow boxing to warm up, stopping for a moment with a big grin as she sees Carly enter.

After they share a quick embrace, Helen tells Carly "hey, I am so looking forwards to this, I am not exactly young so I need to prove that I can be a title challenger quicker then most"

Carly asks if this might be a jump up in talent too quickly, Helen replies "hmm well Heidi is very talented I know that, this will be a massive test for me, I wouldn't have taken it though if I didn't think I could win"

Final question is about if there is any truth to a possible Helen vs Gina Rodriguez contest in future, Helen smiles as she answers "that's a fight I'd love for sure, no word on if it will happen though, especially that you know I am more worried about getting through tonight then what might be months down the line"

Fighting time; Heidi walks down the aisle with Mel behind her, the Scouser is wearing Liverpool colours tonight, a red bikini with gold trim, matching gloves, while her hair is tied into a ponytail.

The guys whistle for her as she passes them by at their tables, soon enough stepping through the ropes and blowing kisses to the crowd before settling into her corner.

Now out comes Helen with her coach beside her, she is wearing a white bikini with red trim, red gloves and her hair is tied into a braid.

The presenter also gets a lot of love, though she looks a little more embarrassed by it then Heidi, she still gives the fans a quick wave before getting through the ropes into her corner.

The referee brings the women to the center of the ring, there seems a relaxed atmosphere between them as they listen to the referees final instructions.

Nodding when they are done and respectfully touching gloves, once back into their corners, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
Neither exactly rushes out their corner, showing respect to the other as they trade single punches, probing for a way to get through their opponent's guard.

As they get more aggressive; Helen seems to be over thinking things, not moving her head as much as she usual does, leading to her taking punches to her cheeks.

Skelton's corner looks to be willing her to box more, Heidi smacking through the guard of Helen to keep her on the outside.

Till Helen is able to duck under a straight to counter with a left/right under the ribs of Heidi, she is starting to open up on the inside as both women trade hard shots.

But soon Range knocks back Skelton with a left/right straight into the face of the presenter, Heidi forcing Helen around the outside of the ring, Helen stuck on the defensive in the final moments of the round.

At the bell both women turn back to their corners, Mel telling Heidi "a great start, keep this up and we will be drinking champagne in a few minutes"

Round 2:
It looks like Helen has had a talking to by her coach, she is being more elusive with her footwork and head movement, landing some nice straights into the abs of Heidi.

Who reminds patience as she stalks Helen, landing several crisp jabs to the face of her opponent, then lands a right across the face of Helen as she steps forwards.

As Helen is knocked back towards the ropes, the Carlisle lass slips a right to come up with an uppercut that knocks the head back of Range.

Finding herself more on the defence, Heidi is landing mostly only single punches out her guard, Helen the one showing her punching prowess to land around the guard of the singer.

When Heidi is driven near the ropes, she lashes a left cross to the ear of Helen, making the free agent retreat back a step, with Heidi stepping in close to force the action.

Both slug it out to the body in the final seconds of the round, at the bell they nudge apart with Helen looking more happier with how things went there, her corner still sees some room for improvement though as they talk to her.

Round 3:
It looks like Helen is fully warmed up now, moving more freely of the two, landing some rifling like punches into the mouth of Range to keep her back.

Heidi is able to parry a jab to step in with a left across the face of Helen, it seems like the power advantage is will Heidi, knocking back Helen in the tight exchanges she is forcing.

But a missed right due to Helen's head movement leaves Heidi open to an overhand left across her face, sweat flies off as suddenly Heidi gets smacked back.

Needing to nudge back Helen so she can reset her stance, Heidi looks a little more weary of her opponent, giving Helen more time to move and smack her to the face.

A right smacks Heidi on her jaw, she is sent into the ropes by a left/right straight into her face, Helen opening up on her to bloody the bottom lip of Range.

Pulling Helen into a clinch; Heidi looks happy to have a breather, even as they exchange little digs to the others kidneys, the referee dragging the fighters apart as the bell rings to end the round.

As she sits on her stool, Helen looks excited to listen to her coach, compared to the more unhappy Lioness corner, Heidi getting her bloody lips cleaned up before the next round.

Round 4:
It seems like confident is growing by the round for Skelton, she is up on her toes stinging the cheeks of Heidi, visibly annoying the former title challenger with her movement.

When Helen steps in to try to land a combo, Heidi ducks down to pound a right into the abs of Skelton, followed by an overhand left into her cheek to turn the head of the presenter.

The power of Heidi is starting to come through now as she forces Helen into trading with her, anytime Helen is trying to move out the firing line, she tastes a hook that puts her back straight in front of Range.

Heidi lands a right across the cheek of her opponent; sending Helen against the ropes, where the veteran steps in with her head down and works the ribs of Helen with hard hooks.

Shoving back Heidi, Helen doesn't look so sure now, fighting off the back foot as primarily the aggression is coming from Heidi, who is landing more cleanly then Skelton's camp would like to see.

When the round ends Helen admits "good round" to Heidi before they return to their corners, Helen's coach telling her not to be lax in her attacks, Heidi isn't the tomato cans she started her career on.

Across the ring Heidi gets a nod from Mel, that's more what she wants to see as they talk, water washes blood off the lip of Heidi again, some has trickled onto her boobs, that gets sponged down by Mel.

Round 5:
Circling each other firing jabs at each other, Helen looks to step in with a straight, Heidi slips it and bangs in an uppercut that lifts up Helen to her toes.

Helen is rocked! She stumbles back with Heidi following in, A LEFT/RIGHT HOOK COMBO CATCHES HELEN CLEAN ON THE SIDE OF HEAD, SENDING SKELTON DOWN TO HER BACK!

The Lioness corner roars as they see Heidi pump her right fist into the air towards them, 1...2...3...4.. Helen slowly lifts her head up, 5...6...7.. She looks badly stunned as she looks around for what trunk just hit her, 8...9...10 that's it! Helen is out for the count!

Winner Heidi Range KO Round 5

After:
A hell of a knockout for Heidi, rolling back the years it seems in her career as she celebrates by jumping onto the bottom ropes in the corner she is standing in, raising her fists into the air as she gets a loud cheer.

Helen's coach and the ringside doctor check on her, getting helped to sit up as she seems to be coming back around to reality, she thuds the canvas with her right glove in anger at losing her unbeaten record.

Over comes Heidi as she checks on Helen; when she sees she is OK, Heidi helps up Helen before taking her on a walk of shame.

Though it looks cruel, Heidi tells Helen "you are a good fighter, but you will never be in my league OK" Helen nodding as she is taken around the ring.

Heidi hands Helen over to her coach, who nods to Heidi before helping Helen step out the ring, the coach telling Helen "remember this pain, use it to get stronger from this day on"

Inside the ring Mel pats Heidi on the back, before the referee lifts up the hand of the winner to a loud roar from her fans, Heidi wiping sweat from her brow before blowing a kiss.

The Lioness crew leave the ring together, Heidi raising her fists into the air as she struts to the back, it looks like she is silently moving back towards a title challenge in future.
