BEFORE: Elena Gheorghe stopped journeywoman Sandy Moelling back in September but she's really swinging for the fences here tonight as she faces the high-upside prospect in Cher Lloyd who's been praised as future BBU flyweight champion but suffered a career-stalling defeat at the hands of Ewelina Lisowska back on Boxing Day PPV last December. She bounced back knocking out the ever-dangerous Lily Allen three months ago and Cher still thinks she's elite money and points to her own stoppage of another Romanian prospect Inna back in 2018 indicating she knows "how to deal with these Gypsy wannabees!" Of course Cher is proud of her Travellers background but Elena tells BBU TV's Charlie Webster that "Inna isn't the best Romanian flyweight anymore" so Cher will "eat her words" tonight!

Both singers are visibly animated during the introductions and Cher blasts Elena in the gut instead of touching gloves which triggers a hectic dust-up with the Invasion manager Corina Caragea getting in the way as well.

Round 1:
Gypsy slugging galore dominates the opening minute and both women simply don't waste one second in their aggressive push here! Cher thumps Elena in the lips several times but gets spun backwards when the older brunette lands the biggest punch of the lot and connects with each temple on her way to break the early resilience. It's more than Cher can handle as she stumbles on her heels and Elena really takes it into a higher gear punching the sweat off her face down the stretch! Ugh! Head-hunting bash makes Corina Caragea very loud in the Romanian corner but she's got every right to celebrate her fighter's performance as Lloyd gets swamped by the brutal ordeal and drops onto the ropes looking very hittable to say the very least. Elena keeps bashing away in fury and inflicts a small gash under the left eye already while Cher has to clinch her just to survive this nasty beating that nobody really saw coming!

Round 2:
Payback time for Cher... she rolls out with more nasty hooks herself and matches Elena stride for stride in the opening minute! Both women keep punishing each other upstairs and the high-octane tempo leaves them both nursing some early lumps. There's no backing off until Cher barges Gheorghe in the chest which allows her to drill the solar plexus as well. Elena swings over the top in response but loses her momentum and Lloyd is all over her rack thereafter punching herself into a commanding position. She bumps the older brunette onto the ropes where she drops it low and basically finds the groin with one of these blows but gets away with it... Elena barks at the ref but takes her eye off the fellow singer and eats a brutal hook on the ear before Cher cleans out her midsection again to even the scores.

Round 3:
Both women locks horns in the phone booth where Cher proves to be the supreme slippery character as she drills Gheorghe's midsection repeatedly to slow the older singer right down. Elena responds with a not-so-accidental headbutt but that's not gonna stop the Gypsy vixen and actually only makes Lloyd even more determined to prove a point... and she lands another low punch in the groin that has Corina Caragea spitting abuse at the man in charge. Cher gets vocal in response and clobbers her foe in the guts outworking Elena in the process which allows her to secure a proper trap in the neutral corner. Elena responds with some pesky shots on each temple but sinks into spasms when the British lass pounds her in the stomach again; the bell rings out however Cher still lands two big harpoons on target and tells the Romanian camp to "shove it" before turning back to her corner.

Round 4:
Elena tries to regain control of the slugging action but leaks too many punches downstairs and gets bounced around the ring as Cher backs her onto the ropes through some ruthless striking. That's the elite showing she flashed as Cheryl Cole's X Factor understudy and Elena can't embrace the heat whatsoever as she loses the batting exchange and bellows out behind a tight earmuff down the stretch. Corina Caragea looks on in disbelief as Cher lays down the midriff assault law and thumps the fellow brunette into a standstill - tearing down all that noisy confidence and slumping Gheorghe in visible discomfort come the bell.

Round 5:
Elena is slow to get up for the fifth as she's clearly affected by the body assault however she simply can't match Lloyd's intensity at this stage of the fight and only tries to bide her time in mid-distance retreat. This change of tune only fuels Cher's desire to blow her away though and whether the Romanian likes it or not, she's forced into the slugging game while getting pinned butt-in-ropes in the process. She lands some nice shots but eats two in response for her own one and struggles to take the heat when the Brit nails her on the chin one time too many. The high-guard collapses underneath the high-octane smash and Elena gurgles her way into TAKING A KNEE just past the two-minute mark as Cher's relentless pounding finally earns her the knockdown prize! "Too much for ya, bytch?", she yells as the ailing opponent before making more gestures aimed at the Invasion corner. Elena gets up at eight but stares down the abyss and barely survives trapped in the corner with Cher toying with her to a degree but still knocking more leather between the mitts. Ugh! Thank God for the bell!

Round 6:
Cher sprints across the boards and lets it rip upstairs again with Elena stumbling upon impact... uh-oh!!! She gets rattled by the initial left/right combo and gets her mitts shoved into her face as Lloyd screams out in delight. She digs an elbow into the fellow brunette's chest and BLOWS a right hook in the tummy which folds Gheorghe forward just so an uppercut follow-up SMOKES the ailing Romanian on the spot. DOWN GOES ELENA crashing down on her knees and dropping face-down at Lloyd's feet moments later. IT IS OVER!!! Wicked KO6 Cher Lloyd who shows her elite aspirations again!!!

AFTER: "How do U like that one, bytch!!??!!", Cher has to be pulled back by the referee but she's quick to climb the ropes even before Elena wakes up from the knockout daze and salutes those fans who battled the COVID pandemic to witness tonight's show. "The next champ is right here, folks! No frickin' excuses this time!"

BBU TV's Charlie Webster questions those title ambitions especially following that ugly loss to Ewelina Lisowska last year but there's no denying Cher is one of the most exciting flyweight prospects around the league. Meanwhile Elena Gheorghe's intended short cut to elite glory has been more or less derailed for the time being and even Corina Caragea admits that Inna is still the best Romanian fighter in the 110 lbs class.
