Jaime Murray vs Tina Hobley

BEFORE: We return with more cougar boxing action with two adversaries who clashed horns following last week's punchout of Jill Halfpenny. Jaime Murray wanted to have a piece of the Gateshead native sooner than later but refused to hand Kelly Reilly a proper rematch which prompted Tina Hobley to throw her hat in the ring and here we are ready to settle this dispute. BBU TV's Georgie Thompson claims these cougars can be as reckless as women twenty years their juniors but nobody takes "You're a washed-up slag" jokes any less seriously on the wrong side of 40 either!

Jaime Murray wears a red crop top with black trim, matching hotpants & red gloves. Long raven-black hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Tina Hobley wears a navy blue crop top, black hip-huggers & silver gloves. Long blonde hair wrapped in a loose bun at the back of her head. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
It's a rough start here in Cardiff as both women engage in a half-hearted exchange that carries little value and exposes all the rust covering these two women. Tina owns the superior record but fails to showcase her determination as she keeps bouncing off the brunette's high guard and it's Murray who lands the best punch of the lot when she scythes the blonde on the mouth and snaps her head back with a spirited left/right combo thereafter. She adds a belting cross on the tits that really catches Hobley off guard and allows the dark-haired cougar to take off from there. She nails Tina on the mouth and drops her into a desperate coverage along the ropes before belting her in the breadbasket one more time right at the bell.

Round 2:
Tina shows more aggression early in the second but Jaime is clearly feeling lucky with her jabs as well which triggers a hectic exchange straight off the bell. Both women dig deep to cripple each other in the phone booth before Jaime's uppercut swing finds the target first and wobbles the blonde onto her heels. Hobley tries to push off immediately but struggles to beat the charging foe with the initial punch and eats another scything combo on the mouth that slumps her along the ropes with Murray bearing down on her with more jabbing menace. Jaime shuts her opponent down for keeps as she hauls in a steady body assault that rips into Tina's tummy and leaves her gasping for air at the bell.

Round 3:
Jaime keeps rolling out from the front (left) leg and dissects Tina's high guard repeatedly to open the third. The blonde looks visibly frustrated by the fact Murray can stretch her elbows a split second faster time and time again but she can't do much about it for large period of this round either. She's fortunate enough Jaime doesn't have a big punch on display but the judges must be loving this hard-working approach from the brunette who gets vocal once she traps the lethargic rival on the ropes late in the going and Hobley's stomach takes another unanswered beating as she chokes on her breath and signals to the ref Jaime actually punched her in the groin but that's an obvious wishful thinking.

Round 4:
Murray has realized Hobley struggles while getting punched in the gut and she tackles the blonde right there to score some early success but Tina begins to lose her temper and barges into the brunette's cleavage with a not-so-stray elbow before cracking a left uppercut on the chin that finally wobbles Jaime off her comfort zone. Another looping hook nails the younger woman on the nose and drops her on the heels which allows Tina to really take off with some uppercut wrath. She dismantles Jaime's high guard and snaps her head back while slumping her on soft knees in the process before a booming left hook sends the brunette flying onto the ropes! Ugh! Murray almost goes down right there but she wraps her left arm around the rope to avoid the knockdown only for Tina to blast her with a left hook on the mouth and that's one punch too many... DOWN GOES MURRAY!!! She drops on her knees with eyes closed and looks visibly shaken up only for the bell to save her in the end. She gets up at seven but displays a hollow look in the eyes and the ref was ready to stop this contest if not for the bell alright!

Round 5:
Tina wants to finish the seemingly wounded opponent but Jaime hangs in tough during a hectic jabbing pursuit in the opening minute. Tina feels like she's one good punch away from dropping Murray again but she just can't land it while the brunette drags her into a lenghty clinching stalemate come the second minute. Ugh! Tina almost headbutts the fellow cougar out of shear frustration and Jaime has the audacity to punch her in the midsection amid the wrestling back & forth. When Hobley breaks free from Murray's grasp she eats a left hook on the jaw but rises above that punch and drills the brunette's nose with a stinger of her own that makes Jaime burst into spasms. She pounds her onto the ropes and lays it hard into the brunette's stomach but can't drop her for the count again and barks in anger when the referee pulls her away at the bell.

Round 6:
Another back & forth tangle as Jaime tries to rally back into contention; she pumps her mitts into the blonde's midsection but gets barged in the chest and lets through a crippling uppercut on the chin that gives Hobley a clear edge as both women continue to dispute the phone booth setting. It's blow by blow exchange but Jaime begins to lose her grip as she's clearly hurting and it takes a brutal stinger on the boobs that finally breaks her resilience... Tina shoves her onto the turnbuckle and fires a left hook on the brow ridge that slumps the brunette into spasms before a right cross on the mouth SENDS MURRAY SLIDING DOWN ON THE CANVAS!!! Jaime tries to get up but she can only land on all fours and she just can't fend off the vertigo inside her head, she collapses face down at the referee's feet and this cougar battle is over! KO6 Tina Hobley!!!

AFTER: Tina still looks upset even after her fifth career victory becomes official but she really struggled to get going in the early stages. Then again, these slow starts are acceptable when fighting fellow cougars and it doesn't seem like Tina wants to battle opponents several years her junior anytime soon as she calls out Kelly Reilly in her post-fight speech. Meanwhile Jaime strikes a dejected figure leaving the ring and she might check up on Jill Halfpenny after all if she wants to stop this losing skid that currently covers her last seven outings in a row.

Final result: Tina Hobley def. Jaime Murray KO6.
