Intro:
We have two fighters who are used to boxing on beaches around the world, Candice Swanepoel and Joy Corrigan look to take a one step closer at being the best in the world at it as they meet on Copacabana Beach for this fight.

Form wise Candice has lost her last seven fights, her last win was two years against Nina Agdal, Joy meanwhile lost her last fight to Eiza Gonzalez by knockout in the fifth round, she was on a three fight winning run at that point.

Before the fight both were asked in their hotel rooms by FCBA Network reporter Alicia Atout for a few words about the fight, first up heading into Candice's room to find her doing so yoga, Candice smiling as she stops and waves Alicia to come and sit down on the bed.

Continuing to stretch as Alicia asks her how she is feeling, Candice replies "excited to get back onto a beach, what's not to love about putting on a bikini and beating up a bimbo" winking with a winning smile at that last part, Alicia even giggling as she sees the playful side of the South African beauty.

"Seriously though I know I am the underdog even with my experience over her, when the gloves go on I am not going to sit back and let Joy bully me around, I am here to win" Candice says with a more serious tone, Alicia nodding as she sees the fire in her eyes.

Joy meanwhile is looking out at the beach from her balcony, her coach Claudia Schiffer let's Alicia in as she looks to be leaving with a smile, Joy waves Alicia over to look at the view, saying "this is why I love to do this, it is an incredible view" after taking a deep breath to take in the air, Joy turns to Alicia.

"So you want a few words, it's simple really, I am here to beat Candice down, pose her over broken body and show why I am the best damn beach boxer in the world, too bad flabby Demi can't make lightweight, I'd love to shut her up" says the American stunner, grinning as she looks back out to the beach thinking of something she likes.

Fighting time, the ring itself is set directly into the sand with ring posts dug into the beach, bleachers surround the ring, the judges and time keepers table are on one side of the ring.

The first fighter on the beach is Candice with coach Virginia Madsen beside her, she looks up for this as she waves at the fans, an excited look on her face as she jogs to the ring, she steps into the ring wearing a green bikini with white trim, along with white gloves, her hair tied into a ponytail.

Now here comes Joy strutting onto the beach, blowing kisses to her fans as she has Claudia beside her, they look relaxed as they step into the ring, Joy wearing an American flag pattern bikini top, red bottoms, with navy blue gloves, her hair also in a ponytail as she warms up.

Referee brings the fighters together, both eyeing each other up as they get a real good look at what they are tasked with beating, respectful they touch gloves before jogging back to their corners, once everything is set the bell rings to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
Slamming in a double jab right from the off, Candice is looking to dictate the fight as Joy has to move her upper body as she gets caught a little off caught when a one-two combo smacks through her mitts into her face.

Swanepoel is looking up for this fight as she forces her foe to the outside part of the ring, headhunting as Joy looks to be stunned that she is being pushed around so early on, Joy landing a few more punches in return by the end of the opening minute, still getting clipped more into her beautiful face.

After half the round has passed by, Joy slips a straight to pound in two left hooks to the body, clipping a right hook off the jaw of her taller opponent to back her off, finally Corrigan has entered this fight as she gets in close to work the body, nearly headbutting Candice as she backs her off towards the ropes.

Needing to give Joy a little nudge to open up space, Candice stands to trade with the furious looking Joy, both slamming in short cross punches, Joy finding a gap to land a one-two into the chest of the South African beauty, taking a short right to the ear when she tries to press forwards.

At the bell the crowd whistle and cheers as the fighters turn on their heels to their corners, Joy looking upset that she came out the blocks so slow compared to her opponent, Candice meanwhile tapping her toes on the sand, looking fired up for this bout.

Round 2:
This time Joy looks to charge Candice out the blocks, getting in several good stinging punches before she is shoved back by both hands on her shoulders, Candice creating space again as she boxes off the back foot, Joy tries to step in with an overhand right, CANDICE SIDESTEPS TO HER LEFT TO MAKE JOY MISS, LANDING A HARD COUNTER LEFT ACROSS THE JAW OF JOY TO MAKE HER FALL TO HER KNEES!

Joy looks stunned as she has her hands on the middle rope looking out the ring at the crowd, 1...2...3... Blinking to clear her vision as Candice dances on her toes in the neutral corner, 4...5...6.. Joy pushes up to her right foot, 7... Then is up as it seems more a flash knockdown then a substantial one, with the referee giving Joy the nod that she can fight on.

Back together they come with Candice looking to push the pace, banging in a three punch combo that sees her start up top with a double jab, then as Joy blocks up top she swings her straight down into the chest of the American to make her grit her mouthpiece, the veteran looking somewhat back to her best right now.

As they enter the final minute though Candice tries to catch Joy with a right hook, seeing her chance to counter attack, Joy lands an uppercut that knocks back the taller fighter, Candice kicking up sand as she is being pummeled back towards the ropes, Corrigan showing she isn't going away so easily, switching up her targets when she has Candice shelling up on the ropes up until the bell rings to end the round, a big round for Candice there to give her a massive lead out the gates.

Round 3:
Joy was told to be smarter as she rushed in too quickly last round, both jabbing around the ring as Candice knows she can't bulldoze through Joy as she hoped after the knockdown, after an energetic opening two rounds, things slow down a tad as they try to get the range where they want it to be.

After forty seconds pass by Candice manages to snap back the head of Joy with a pinpoint one-two combo, Joy being herded back towards the ropes as Candice holds the center once again, looking comfortable as she keeps Corrigan at a safe distance.

Problem is for Candice that she gets a little too one dimensional going up top as often, leading to Joy deflecting a straight to pound in a straight to the body of her veteran opponent, Candice manages to lean out the way of a right cross, a near clash of heads as Joy steps in with it.

On the inside they fight with Joy landing several good clean shots under the ribs of Candice, who isn't enjoying them one bit, especially as an uppercut lands on her solar plexus, Candice clinches up as she takes a deep breath, Joy trying to break free as she sees her chance to fight back into this.

Broken up by the referee, Candice manages to catch Joy coming in with a double jab, again Joy falling into a bad habit of rushing in instead of setting up her punches, the double jab seems to waken her up to that fact as she gets back to her own jab then swinging in an overhand right that lands on the jaw of Swanepoel to knock her back as her head twists to the side, the round ends before Corrigan can really build off her success, still it was a good reply from the American as she sits on her stool looking more relaxed.

Round 4:
It seems like Joy has her confidence back as she slips several of her opponent's punches to bash her in the body, a short right hook to the body follows by a left under the ribs seems to be bugging Candice as she steps back.

Joy on the hunt as she feints with a right, ducking under the jab that flicks towards where her head was, with another left hook lifting up the ribs of Candice, WHO FALLS TO HER KNEES HOLDING HER SIDE! LEFT HAND UP TO WARD BACK JOY, WHO IS WHOPPING WITH EXCITEMENT!

Referee begins the count as Candice shuts her eyes and grits her mouthpiece, 1...2...3.. Candice doesn't look in the mood to get up as she shakes her head to Virginia, 4...5...6.. Joy bouncing on her toes looking ready for more, 7....8...9...10 but Candice stays down, it's over!

Winner Joy Corrigan KO Round 4

After:
As soon as the bell rings to end the fight, Joy goes over to kick some sand up into her face and chest, then goes on a victory lap with her arms in the air as her supporters whistle and chant her name, Claudia looking relieved that Joy didn't get upset in that disaster of a second round.

Virginia steps into the ring glaring at Joy, then kneels down with an ice pack as Candice complains her side is killing her, Virginia checks and tells her she probably has bruising around her ribs, the ringside doctor seems in agreement after their check, giving Candice a little relief it isn't anything worse, though she won't be sleeping comfortably for a few days.

Gingerly with help Candice leaves the ring as she doesn't want to be around the gloating winner, another painful loss for the one time prospect, now a gatekeeper to the young fighters coming through, which is clearly a painful job to have in a division full of hard hitters.

The winner after she gets a drink and her gloves taken off goes to the center of the ring for the final result, getting her right arm raised as she yells "you better knock me out because I don't stay down bytches!" A clear warning to her future opponents that she is tough as nails.

She gets a hug from Claudia, this might help give stablemate Jessica Lowndes an extra boost as she takes on long time enemy Vanessa Hudgens in the main event, for now Joy leaves the ring with Claudia beside her, both beaming even if Joy will need to improve next time she fights on this performance to get into the title hunt.
