Asuka Kuramochi vs Vanessa White
(Front Street Japan trialist vs Double A Boxing)
(1-0 vs 6-9, 6 KO)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: It's time for another big test for an unproven Japanese rookie with Asuka Kuramochi taking on the English veteran Vanessa White. Asuka lacked outright power to knock Sayaka Isoyama out on her debut last year while Vanessa has gained extra confidence through her BBC Charity Relief performance even though her overall BBU record remains mediocre to say the very least. However she believes she can upset the local girl and bring The Saturdays name back in the elite conversation. This being said she might be doing the PR work for stablemate Mollie King instead!

Asuka Kuramochi wears a black bikini set with pink trim & pink gloves. Long black hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Vanessa White wears a navy blue crop top, black hotpants & silver gloves. Shoulder lenght dark brown hair tied in a bun at the back of her head. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Asuka tries to ride out the crowd's chants and drop the tourist into early trouble but Vanessa has none of that and duly engages in a classic head-hunting slugfest that actually catches the Japanese girl off guard. Vanessa sticks her mitts straight into Asuka's face and knocks her around before landing a big left hook on the eye which reels Asuka back to the ropes. And Vanessa wants more as she leaps at the staggered foe to smack her up the chimney again which drops Kuramochi butt-in-ropes and unable to respond! Huh! Vanessa deploys a jabbing attack from both flanks to tear the high guard aside and even with her precision being a little off, she still manages to keep the local heroine under wraps for remainder of the round.

Round 2:
Front Street Japan coach Kei Mizutani isn't pleased at all during the interval but Asuka shows little command early in the second with Vanessa blowing past her leaky guard with one punch after another. She glues the fellow singer to the spot and dominates the close range dispute with Kuramochi barely landing a single punch for every White triple along the way. It only gets worse when Asuka appears to be stuck on her heels and gets pounded back to the ropes underneath the shear English onslaught as Vanessa barks in her efforts to inflict instant damage on the subdued opponent. Asuka manages to secure a late clinch along the ropes but that won't spoil the tourist's run at all and she knows it judging by her facial expression.

Round 3:
Asuka tries to be a little more aggressive and lands some quick shots to the body early in the third but gets whacked with a big hook on the jaw as Vanessa drives through with a follow up to bust the lower lip in the process. Ugh! Asuka wobbles to her heels and gets bulldozed back against the turnbuckle simply unable to match the fellow singer's intensity. Vanessa lights up the punching volume and nails the sluggish rival from both flanks to split the guard with too much ease before another quick slant hits Kuramochi on the wounded lips and folds her behind a tight earmuff. White keeps plugging along and has the Japanese foe all covered up to the point even the Tokyo audience abandons the cheerful chants and sends their girl off with a jeering noise at the bell.

Round 4:
Asuka rumbles forward and tries to catch the English singer with her speed but the initial hook only grazes the top of White's forehead and the quick response slams the Japanese girl flush on the nose... Oi, Asuka! The local heroine wobbles into spasms and eats a double uppercut drive in quick order before Vanessa nails one on the lips to bust more blood leaking from the wounded area... Asuka sinks on her knees with that misty look in her eyes an can't cover up in time when the tourist BLASTS her with a drilling hook on the nose!!! DOWN GOES KURAMOCHI like a sack of potatoes and it's a bad one for the home team... Asuka fails to respond to the count and is left mumbling her demise in spread eagle fashion! KO4 Vanessa White!!!

AFTER: Vanessa walks around the ring to dwell on the half-hearted cheers from the audience and vows to smack more Japanese meat given the chance. She tries to taunt Ayako Hamada into another challenge at the next Jewels PPV but coach Kei Mizutani is quick to argue her case as well. Asuka is still a genuine rookie in this business and the message for Vanessa is to bring her bandmate Frankie Bridge for a ride next time out. Vanessa is upset that she's regarded as the worst of The Saturdays flyweight corpse even after starring on BBC against Hannah Spearritt but she backs off from rubbing more insult to the hosts' injury as the Front Street Japan medical staff is forced to stop the bleeding from Asuka's lips before the official verdict is announced.

Final result: Vanessa White def. Asuka Kuramochi KO4.
