BEFORE: Irish veteran Christine Bleakley returns to action to square off against out-of-form Danielle Lloyd who has suffered enough JMDD punishment lately she decides to go back to regular rules for a change. Another case of shaking off the rust looms large over this match-up and this is one area that could bring the Merseyside glamour model a slight edge over the Ulster woman.

Christine Bleakley wears a navy blue bikini set & silver gloves. Long black hair tied in a curled ponytail. Danielle Lloyd wears a white bikini set & red gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Danielle gets off to an aggressive start and lands several shots into the fellow brunette's face but Bleakley shuts her down with one huge smack of the right hand that drills the glamour model's nose and wobbles her on her heels. Danielle tries to push off but eats a scything left/right cross on the mouth which forces her backwards. Christine doesn't bite on the slugging opportunity and prefers to methodically outbox the Mersey woman in mid-range which should earn her enough love from the judges according to Kate Abdo in the booth. Meanwhile Lloyd eventually runs out of real estate and jumps into a chaotic jabbing attack when she's buried on the ropes - with little success to speak of. Bleakley nicks the round on points.

Round 2:
More of the same in the second, Danielle enjoys some quality jabbing action in the opening minute before Christine storms back with superior production down the stretch. She outboxes the glamour model and backs her onto the ropes where she punishes her exposed midsection before a clinching stalemate slows the action down. The tempo isn't exceptionally quick here and Lioness coach Mel B. wants to see more determination from the Irish woman going forward.

Round 3:
Christine answers the demand and whacks the fellow brunette up the chimney early in the third before dropping a stuffing harpoon on the liver area that makes Danielle look hurt for the first time tonight. Cue in some quiet yelps as more leather spears into her midriff with Bleakley blasting her with a rare uppercut on the jaw as well. Lloyd tries to mount a comeback but bounces off the Irish forearms and gets caught by a looping hook moments later anyway. She trips back to the ropes where Bleakley duly cleans out her pocket during a one-sided final stretch. Woof! Danielle shoves her rival after the bell which earns her a round of jeers from the Cardiff audience.

Round 4:
Danielle lands a good combo early but fails to break through thereafter and gets laced over the top by the more determind Irish woman. Christine ups the tempo of her attacks and crashes a heavy right into the model's nose before working on her midsection and driving her back onto the ropes. Danielle tries to land an uppercut series in the chest but another belting shot downstairs FORCES HER TO TAKE A KNEE as the pain factor breaks her resilience! Uh-oh!!! Even the Lioness Club fans are somewhat surprised however Lloyd's punching resistance was always her biggest problem. She gets up at seven but remains trapped in the corner and Bleakley hammers more gut shots to leave the Merseyside brunette squealing in discomfort at the bell.

Round 5:
Christine moves in to whack the ailing foe up the chimney and Danielle stops the initial drive with her face as her high-guard collapses in no time. Bleakley works the one-two punch to bash Lloyd into a standstill and drops another drilling harpoon on the liver area moments later. DOWN GOES LLOYD AGAIN!!! The glamour model drops to her knees and bends her head against the canvas... the count is slow but still too fast for the aching brunette. She stays down for the count!!! KO5 Christine Bleakley!!!

AFTER: Christine struts back to her corner where she shares a good laugh with Mel B. Those pre-fights odds questioning her ring fitness don't look so smart anymore. Meanwhile Danielle drags herself off the boards and admits she probably underestimated the fellow cougar. Well, those out-of-form punchbags always find an excuse or two for yet another loss!
