BEFORE

Jennifer is at the podium. As usual Charlize is standing way in the background. She isn’t going to say anything, just listen. Her pre-fight comments earlier in her career got her into trouble. Her rule now is to shut up and listen to her opponent. Jennifer “When I heard that Charlize looking for challenges, I jumped at the opportunity. I always wanted to fight her. I was thrilled when I got word she had accepted my fight. I know she is bigger than me, but most all my opponents have been bigger. You have heard Charlize has trouble with smaller girls and it’s true. I have watched film of her fights against smaller girls. I know how to get to her and how to set her up for a knockout. Charlize. I can’t tell you how great you look all stretched out on the canvas. I’m going to make that happen tonight.” Charlize just smiles and waves.

THE FIGHT.
Jennifer enters the ring wearing a black bikini, black gloves and boots. Her is in a bun. Charlize is in a dark blue bikini and boots, black gloves. Her hair is in a ponytail

Round 1. The two meet in the center of the ring and touch gloves and back off. Jennifer knows that Charlize almost always opens the fight with a right jab. She is moving on her toes until she senses the right jab is coming. She quickly drops into a crouch as the jab passes over her head. Jennifer lunges forward driving her shoulder into Charlize’s stomach. The big blonde is driven back a few steps. Jennifer then sends a couple hard hooks into Theron’s already hurting stomach. As Charlize lunges forward, Jennifer rises up driving her head into Theron’s chin. As Charlize stumbles away, Jennifer follows with a right cross to the chin then a left and another right. She has Charlize on the ropes and drives a right and left into the bigger girls belly button. As Charlize starts to double over, Jennifer again catches Charlize’s chin with her head. Charlize is hurt but she gets her gloves on Jennifer’s shoulders and pushes her away. Charlize is off the ropes and into the center of the ring. Jennifer is almost in a shell, forcing Theron to punch down on her and not get her well known power behind her attack. Jennifer, staying low, manages to plow more punches into Theron’s midsection. The bell rings and a jubilant Ellison returns to her corner while an embarrassed Theron is going to get a talking to as she didn’t land a single good punch the whole round

Round 2. At the bell Charlize is moving parallel to the ropes making it difficult for Ellison to do the head down charge. Instead she comes in bobbing and weaving. Ellison in punching range when Theron starts the jabbing, catching Ellison coming to and driving her back to the middle of the ring. Three straight right jabs to Jennifer’s face has her lips cut and forces her to back off. Charlize is now pursuing and Ellison elects to make a stand. She surprises Charlize by moving in on her and lands a left-right to the body. Another Theron jab catches Jennifer in the face forcing her to back off. Theron in now stalking, looking for an opportunity to end the fight. She doesn’t find it as Jennifer moves in close and rips a pair of hooks into Charlize’s chest followed by a left hook to the chin. Charlize is forced to back off and regroup. She moves back in on Jennifer and using her reach advantage, catches her opponent with a couple more jabs and follow with a right hook to the chin that has Jennifer staring. Charlize moves in to finish her opponent but the bell calls a halt to the round

Round 3. Ellison’s corner advises the stay low and head butting isn’t going to work anymore. She going stand up and fight. Theron expected Jennifer to come out bobbing and weaving is surprised when Jennifer comes straight at her and starts punching. Jennifer lands a right hook to Charlize’s jaw, then a left cross, right cross, left hook driving Charlize back to the ropes. Theron weathers the storm and start punching back. Using her reach advantage, Charlize backs Ellison into the center of the ring with with a steady diet of Jabs. Charlize is going for Jennifer head and a right cross misses but a Jennifer right hook lands in Theron’s solar plexus making her gasp for breath. A left cross sends Charlize back a couple steps. Charlize quickly recovers and moves in on Jennifer as the bell rings. In her corner Charlize is told to stop fooling around and end this thing.

Round 4. Charlize is quickly out of her corner catching Ellison a couple feet from her stool and starts punching away. A right hook picks up Ellison’s head and a left digs into her stomach. Ellison tries to hook Charlize’s jaw but it goes wild as a right cross from Charlize rings Jennifer’s chimes. Charlize then goes to the body pounding away at her midsection and then moves up to her bra. In desperation Ellison throw her arms around Theron’s waist and holds on tight. The referee moves in to break up the clinch as Jennifer holds on as long as she can. When the clinch is finally broken Ellison moves away from Theron as quickly as she can. Charlize starts cutting down the ring and finally traps Jennifer in a corner. Charlize is in close and goes to Ellison’s body. Punch after punch lands in Ellison’s midsection and chest as she sags agains the ring post just taking and taking. The referee is watching closely and starts to move in but the bell saves Ellison as least for this round

Round 5, It’s a badly beaten Jennifer who comes out for the fifth round. Theron takes her time engaging, but when she does a right cross sends Ellison staggering. Charlize follows with a left and then a right to Ellison’s body. Ellison surges forward to clinch again, but a Theron left uppercut finds her chin and Ellison pitches forward on to her face. Charlize turns and walks to her corner as the referee counts Jennifer out. There is no celebration in Theron’s corner. Charlize waits until Ellison is brought around on her stool. She goes over to Ellison kneels down and says a couple words to Jennifer and then leaves the ring


AFTER

Jennifer enter the press room followed shortly by Charles
Jennifer: I thought that coming in low and head butting would take the play away from Charlize, but I should have known that after a round or two it wasn’t going to work. After all the fights she had, she quickly wised up which forced me into slugging, which is her forte not mine. I do appreciate her coming over to my corner after the count to find out if I was OK. Not many fighters will do that

Charlize. “Jennifer is right. I have been in a lot of fights with smaller girls. The smaller they get, the more head butting. Of course, that can also be accidental, but when it happens two rounds in a row, you know what you are in for and you take away that option. Jennifer certainly outclassed me in the first round. I got a talking to from Lawrence that wasn’t exactly friendly but it got me back on track. Jennifer, I doubt we will ever meet again but I wish you the best.

Tess Valmore: “Charlize, how about that short article that appeared FCBA Enquirer yesterday?”

Charlize;” I haven’t seen it”

Tess:” It says and I quote”

In 1999…When the FCBA was founded…They were there!
Two iconic blondes! Two decades! Dozens of titles! Literally hundreds of fights
And yet…They have never met…UNTIL NOW”

Are you one of those blondes?”

Charlize; “Tess I trust your quote is accurate but I am not going to comment on an press article I haven’t seen”

Tess: “You deny you’re one of the two?”

Charlize; “Tess. I haven’t seen the article. That’s the truth and that’s all I am going to say”
