Second match: Hayley Lee vs Aurelia Ng

Confident after the last round, Hayley comes in hot for Aurelia’s head. Sensing danger, Aurelia locks her arms over her head as she blocks and bobs before sneaking a body hook into Hayley’s obliques. Hayley crunches up as Aurelia turns the tide and buffett her with blows that mostly land on shoulders and arms. Realizing she is tiring herself out with the ineffective blows, Aurelia holds back and Hayley sees the opportunity to sneak in a couple of body blows and right hooks, pressuring Aurelia into the ropes as she hammers her guard away. Aurelia fiercely fights back despite the overwhelming (yet reckless) attacks from Hayley. The round ends with Hayley taking a narrow lead.

Round 4:

Riding on the momentum from the previous round, Hayley resolves to end with this round. The more energy saved from a quick finish, the better her chances of beating Jamie in the finals. Aurelia covers up helplessly as Hayley slugs away. Despite the dominant start, the incessant offense is tiring her faster than she could chip Aurelia’s offense away. Aurelia surprises with a right swipe to her face, but Hayley shakes it off and continues to attack. But the follow up punches lack precision, leaving an opening for Aurelia to rock Hayley with an uppercut. Aurelia quickly follows with a 3-hit combination that lands perfectly, causing Hayley to groan in pain. The pair go back-and-forth for the remainder of the round but Aurelia eventually takes the round by a small margin.

Round 5:

Aurelia looks ready to end things this round, going in heavy on the punches. Hayley watches closely and smacks Aurelia right shoulder, setting her up for a strong left hook! WHAM! Aurelia backpedals and backs away on instinct. Aurelia tries to fight back but her punches lack coordination, especially after getting her brain scrambled. It’s a surprise to everyone that she’s still standing. Hayley smells blood and tries to finish her off, but Aurelia keeps her distance, fending Hayley off as she comes close. She survives the round, frustrating Hayley.

Round 6:

As the bell for round 6 rings, both girls charge in to engage with Hayley being more offensive. Even if not at 100%, the break is sufficient for Aurelia to hold against Hayley’s attacks. Aurelia bets on one lucky shot, one uppercut, AND IT LANDS! The uppercut puts Hayley down on her back and Aurelia prays for Hayley to stay down. The ref counts to 7 and Hayley gets up albeit, a little woozy. Aurelia digs deep and pummels the defenseless Hayley away! Spit and sweat flies off Hayley’s face, her mouthguard barely hanging from her mouth as the beatdown continues. The ref has seen enough and jumps in between the competitor to stop the match!

Official decision: Aurelia Ng defeats Hayley Lee via TKO6

Post-match: Aurelia celebrates in her corner denying Hayley the rematch with Jamie. “I’m gonna win this!” Aurelia declares as she leaves the ring to the break room. The official escorts Hayley away shortly after. Coming up next is a music performance by local DJ Jade Rasif before Hayley comes back for the 3rd placing match.
