Finals: Jamie Pang vs Aurelia Ng

Jamie comes in with the same attire from earlier, her face slightly swelling from her earlier match with Michelle. So does Aurelia, albeit her face seems to be in a better condition than Jamie. Aurelia has her hair up in a bun this time.

Jamie: “I was expecting to fight Hayley, but that doesn’t matter. I will win this!”

Aurelia: “Sorry to disappoint you. But I’m about to disappoint you again when I win this!”

DING! And the finals start now!

Round 1:

Faces still puffy from their earlier fight despite the break, Jamie and Aurelia are cautious in their approach to avoid aggravating their injuries sustained from their earlier matches. Aurelia takes the first shot but misses. Knowing Jamie is a good counter-puncher, Aurelia quickly pulls back and distances herself, thwarting Jamie’s surprise attack.The pair slowly gravitate towards each other once more. Jamie and Aurelia exchange a flurry of punches which mostly lands on their shoulders and mitts but quickly breaks off to reassess the situation. The bell calls for the end of round 1 which ends in a draw.

Round 2:

After some advice from her corner, Aurelia charges in quickly to pressure Jamie early in round 2. Aurelia shuffles back and forth, throwing a few feint punches to confuse the reactive boxer. Jamie’s glove goes up and out, and Aurelia slips a straight punch to her chest! While the chest punch is not capable of dealing a KO, Jamie grunts as the air is being forced out of her lungs. Jamie gets thrown off her game and Aurelia mounts on the offensive! Aurelia lands two clean shots to Jamie’s head forcing her to quickly cover up and distance herself. Certainly something unexpected from the confident counter-puncher. Jamie tries to punch out of the pressure but achieves minimal success, ending up on the ropes and corners more than she wants. The round ends but Aurelia doesn’t stop, forcing the ref to pull them apart. Aurelia cockily taunts Jamie with a double bicep flex before moving into her corner while Jamie stares daggers into her back.

Round 3:

As Aurelia expects, Jamie leads with her chin and comes out swinging as soon as the bell clangs, obviously triggered by Aurelia’s taunt. While provoking your opponent to change her style may be a good idea, Aurelia did not expect Jamie to be proficient in her attacks. Aurelia rolls with the punches and fights back. The pair exchange several good shots through the round but Jamie closes out the round with a one-two uppercut combination that staggers Aurelia slightly. Jamie raises an arm to rally her fans as she returns to her corner, taking the round by a narrow margin.

Round 4:

Even after drying off with a towel, their body immediately slick with sweat as they enter round 4! As before, Jamie initiates offense with a one-two punch combination which Aurelia easily shakes off with shoulder roll and a bob. After having a little trouble picking apart Aurelia’s defense, Jamie decides to pull herself back to the center and lure Aurelia to attack. Aurelia feints a jab and Jamie reacts too early! With her head wide open, Aurelia smacks Jamie’s head with a clean left hook, sending her right into the ropes! Jamie holds onto the ropes to keep herself steady. As she turns around, Aurelia punishes her with a flurry of punches and sends her diving with a right cross straight from the shoulder! Jamie goes down for the count! Groaning in pain, Jamie struggles with the help of the ropes, barely getting up at the count of 9! She indicates that she’s okay with a nod and the round continues. Still punch-drunk, Aurelia easily breaks down Jamie’s defenses but Jamie digs deep and survives to the end of the round. What a close call!

Round 5:

Seeing victory on the horizon, Aurelia goes in hot and smacks Jamie with a left-right combo that puts the exhausted Jamie on defensive mode. Jamie alternates between weaving and blocking, occasionally taking some shots given the damage so far. Jamie’s resilience gets the crowd cheering for her as she defends with her best efforts, albeit sluggishly. Under the flurry of attacks, Jamie finds a few windows to slip in a few counter punches but Aurelia shakes it off, keen on ending the fight this round. Oblivious to the damage taken, the few counter punches effectively clouds Aurelia’s judgement, causing her to miss more shots towards the end of the round. Even though Aurelia carries out most of the offense this round, Jamie manages to set herself up for a comeback.

Round 6:

The effects from their previous fights are beginning to show as they sluggishly come out of their corner. Sweat pouring out of every pore, their dishevelled hair sticking to their glistening faces, their lungs burning as they breathe. Despite their exhaustion, their punches immediately come to live as they engage. Aurelia starts off with a promising right cross that staggers Jamie momentarily. Jamie backpedals and quickly tucks her head behind her gloves, in anticipation of any follow-up attacks. Aurelia fires a one-two combination, one lands on the mitts but the second misses, allowing Jamie to hit a clean right hook. Aurelia grits and immediately fires back an uppercut before Jamie can reset her guard. The tit-for-tat carries on for the rest of the round with neither side gaining the upper hand.

Round 7:

Aurelia starts the round and swings a right, but her lapse of judgement proves to be a major mistake! Jamie ducks under and fires an uppercut, sending Aurelia back into the ropes with her hand flailing. Her arms catch the top rope to keep herself up, allowing Jamie to punish her abs and obliques with a flurry of punches. Helpless, Aurelia leans into Jamie and clinches. Jamie fires up the last of her reserves and breaks apart the clinch, smacking Aurelia’s face and forces her to back away. Aurelia extends an arm in confusion, trying to distance herself away from her attacker, but that only leaves her head open for more punishment as Jamie lunges in and strikes. The bell calls for the end of the round and Aurelia is barely able to stand. What an incredible comeback from Jamie!

Round 8:

Jamie stares at Aurelia intensely as she comes out of the corner. In contrast, Aurelia’s looking befuddled after last round’s punishment. Jamie moves in with her guard down, luring Aurelia for a swing. Jamie easily avoids the offense and smacks Aurelia flushed in the nose with a jab. Jamie continues to toy with Aurelia through the round before smacking a right body hook and uppercut that sends Aurelia diving to the floor! DOWN! Aurelia falls into a spreadeagle with her eyes rolled back. Jamie raises her arms as she goes to the neutral corner, confident that Aurelia will not get up as the ref counts to 10! It’s over!

Official Decision: Jamie Pangs defeats Aurelia Ng via KO8

Post-match: Jamie quickly runs to the corner and poses on the second rope after the grueling match. Her face looks bloated and weary after two fights in the same night, Nonetheless, it is worth it when the officials hand her the trophy.

“I believe this makes me the best celebrity boxer around in Singapore! I wanna thank my f…”

“WAIT A MINUTE!”, a familiar voice comes out from the crowd, and Queenie reveals herself!

“I beat you and Michelle before. Why wasn’t I invited?” Queenie exclaims.

“If I was in this tournament, I would have beaten all three of you with ease!” Queenie brags.

“Oh yea? Why not have a rematch with me to determine who’s better?” Jamie challenges.

Queenie moves in and comes nose-to-nose with Jamie, “I accept!”
