Before: For the first time in nearly five years, Reese Witherspoon has been acquired by a stable, sporting the name of the newly founded Death By Glamour. Although she hasn’t seen much of the ring in the past few years, having only participated in 11 fights since 2012 and winning only one of them, Reese Witherspoon is still very much excited to enter the ring today despite facing a much more active fighter. Jennifer Love Hewitt, considered by many to be past her prime has had plenty more ring experience than Reese, having participated in 146 fights, compared to the blondes 46. And while on the topic of 2012, JLH has seen the ring a total of 45 times, winning a meagre 12.

Despite having odds stacked against her, Reese casually jogs to the ring with a smile, wearing a baby blue bikini with matching gloves and hair in a ponytail. Jennifer does not share the same attitude, entering the ring in a black push-ups bra and panties, red gloves, loose hair and a piercing stare directed at Reese.

Round 1: At the sound of the bell, Jennifer rushes Reese like a woman possessed, perhaps still furious about her back to back loss all the way back in 02. She aims two jabs at her nose but the blonde covers up well, moving from the ropes and drawing the fight towards the middle. Hewitt still charging like a bull and swinging like a woman possessed, Reese showing gumption, denying the brunette most of her shots but letting one or two slip past. Eventually, she finds the opportunity to shine, landing a swift hook on Jennifer’s mouth, attempting a follow-up but JLH is gone like the wind. The action slows down at this point with neither woman taking the initiative and after a solid thirty seconds of predatory circling, they’re back at it. Jennifer hooks for the ribs, Reese bites back with an uppercut to the gut, Jenn with a good ol’ one-two, finally finding her nose, Reese again hooking for the mouth, back and forth action until the final few seconds. Ten seconds left on the clock, Reese doubles down, goes in for a haymaker but Jennifer sees it coming, ducks and SMASHES the blonde’s jaw with an uppercut. Reese, hurt, stumbles back as Jennifer chases after delivering swift body strikes to steal the round late.

Round 2: Losing the round late wiped the smile off Reese's face but she won't be bullied. Girls trade punches midring, Reese working the body, catching Jenn with hooks from either hand. Jenn not making things easy, jabbing away at blonde’s face, delivering another uppercut to her hurt chin. Reese stumbles back as Hewitt assaults her gut but she covers up well, responds with a hook to the ribs and steps around the brunette to relocate. Two more hooks smash Jenn’s ribs and just as Reese’s looks to follow up she’s interrupted with a one-two of the nose. Fighters go back and forth for a full minute, showing spirit as if they’re still in their twenties. Reese wins the scuffle by stunning Jen with a cross to the nose, she then hooks brunette’s guts until she takes a knee. Gasping for air, Hewitt struggles but she backs up at six and keeps distance from the vicious blonde. Reese turns the tables, now she’s being the aggressor, however, Jenn works well under pressure, evading most of her hits and countering with single jabs. Round’s over, this one goes to Reese, evening out the score at 19.

Round 3: Jennifer isn’t happy about the even point total, she looks to keep the blonde in her pocket, going back to her aggressive tactics. Reese on the defensive, dodging around Jenn's punches, trying to wear her down before going on the offensive, but in all that dodging she doesn't notice that Jenn is leading her to ropes. Too little too late as Reese’s back hits a corner and she takes a massive right to the gut. She goes for a clinch but Jenn casually pushes her off, following up with hooks to either cheek, a cross to the nose and a series of uppercuts to the gut as Reese goes down. She’s on her feet at seven, managing to land a few solid shots to Jen’s nose and jaw but she can’t stay off the ropes, giving Jenn a massive advantage as she’s able to keep the smaller woman exactly where she wants her. Resse fights back to the best of her ability but she’s taking twice as many shots, especially to her midsection which is slowly turning red. Down the stretch, Jenn’s aggressive assertion wins her the round wide as she takes back the lead.

Round 4: Fool me once, Hewitt trying to push Witherspoon to ropes again but the blonde won’t have it, she’s learned her lesson the hard way. She lets Jenn believe that she's leading her to ropes again only to do a 180 and before she knows it, Hewitt finds herself tied up with blonde’s mittens pounding her gut and breasts. Nothing fancy, Witherspoon just keeping busy with simple one-two’s, down the stretch hooking for her jew as she does her best to cover up but too many shots slip past and down she goes. Up at eight, Jennifer immediately migrates from the ropes, bringing the fight to the middle. She’s still panicked after the knockdown, not able to keep up with Witherspoon’s punches, unsure where to cover up. She gets a bloody nose as a result and multiple shots to the ribs. Reese shows class in the fourth, playing it smart instead of risky while Jenn falls behind. Jenn just doesn't seem able to catch a break, whenever she blocks, Reese finds a way to pierce her guard and when she steps on the offensive Reese counters as if the blonde suddenly knows her inside out. Two hooks smash Hewitt's ribs just in time for the bell, the score now sitting at 37:37.

Round 5: Hewitt's feisty attitude doesn't score her any points while Witherspoon shows class, playing it smart instead of aggressive. The cocky brunette gets caught by a series of jabs to the nose and an uppercut of the chin, hastily fires back at the blonde and suffers a double hook to the ribs. Reese seems to have found herself winning strategy, capitalizing on Hewitt’s stubbornly aggressive maneuvers. She lets the older brunette come to her, then beats her at her own game by dodging and countering. Jennifer starts to look battered, taking too many shots to the body and nose as Reese just keeps it coming. Punches fly from either fighters but it's Reese who’s landing two maybe three times as much, pushing Jenn back with each punch and she soon finds herself taking abuse ropeside. A battered and yelping mess, Hewitt refuses to back out until she has to, gets pounded by a big right hook, likely Reese’s hardest punch of the fight as Hewitt slump to all fours. She’s up at nine, willing to continue, but the ref waves it off.

After: Cheers and celebrations follow in Glamour’s corner, they've started off with a win despite the unfavourable odds. Reese, climbing ropes and pumping her fists into the air, showing everybody that she’s still got fight left in her. Stay tuned for the post fight Q&A.

Reporter: Reese, congratulations on your win, how does it feel to be back in the ring for the first time in a few months and under a new stable?

Reese: Honestly, I was skeptical at first, I wasn’t 100% on joining a new stable and was gonna call it quits after a while, but I’m glad it didn’t because I feel glorious and hungry for more. New management has really put me through the grinding but it was all for my good and I’m glad they did it.

Reporter: Who will you fight next and what are you looking to achieve?

Reese: At the moment, I don’t have any scheduled fight but I would LOVE to step into the ring with my old tormentress, Alyssa Milano. After taking two losses back to back, which were coincidentally my first two matches, I feel like things between us are yet to be finished despite the passing of twenty years.

Reporter: Speaking of Death by Glamour, what is the newly formed stable like, how are the other fighters performing and do you think they’ll share the same success as you.

Reese: Well first off all, I hope all of my stablemates kick ass and go on to have great careers, especially our newbie Jessica Chancellor. As for the training part, I can assure you that we are put through hell and management doesn’t let up. They’re very keen on having us perform well and I think they’ll be satisfied after tonight.

Reporter: Thank you for the very brief interview, that would be all for now. We can’t wait to see what you do next.
