BEFORE: The undefeated German champion Sophia Thomalla has answered the popular demand and offered a title shot to Geordie Shore's notorious operator Vicky Pattison but the challenger vows to pay back the favor by handing the actress her first ever BBU defeat. Black Eagles owner/coach Gina Wild claims it will be easier to shut Vicky in the ring but admits the media really wanted to see her in a championship fight after Daisy Ridley derailed the intended Charlotte Church title challenge last spring already. With Olympia Valance and the Herbert sisters busy with the ACB title picture for the time being Pattison might not have a better opportunity to step into the spotlight in the foreseeable future. The only problem is the fact Thomalla appears to be one of the strongest BBU champions ever based on her amateur kickboxing career that helped her to take the celebrity boxing universe by storm.

Sophia Thomalla wears a red bikini top, black hip-huggers & golden gloves. Long brown hair with blonde dye tied in a sleek ponytail. Vicky Pattison wears a purple bikini set with black trim & silver gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a high ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Sophia is the champion but Vicky steals the early headlines with some ultra-accurate punches that split the high guard and allow the Brit to dominate the initial phone booth exchange. Sophia didn't feel the need to step into her attacks and she gets outworked by a more committed opponent who might deliver a one-dimensional charge here in the opener but the precision does the trick and keeps Pattison on top of the action. Sophia still refuses to adapt a slugging plan and while she avoids getting punched onto the ropes her half-hearted approach gives the judges an easy decision to award the opener to the Geordie challenger.

Round 2:
Vicky drops more head shots up the middle but Sophia locks the high guard much better this time and breaks the brunette's stride with a sustained overhand attack down the stretch. Pattison stays in the initial exchange but eats the biggest punch of the lot and wobbles to the side as Thomalla quickly switches her targets and catches the challenger by surprise with a drilling one-two on the midsection. Vicky slumps on her heels and gets thumped back to the post as the champion finally unloads her best drive and clips the brunette's jugs before a booming hook on the jaw makes the Brit scowl in pain. Sophia duly shuts her up with another overhand one-two and belts an extra punch on the navel right at the bell too.

Round 3:
Vicky tries to regain the early groove but Sophia moves much faster across the canvas now and dekes away from the head-hunting assault. She lets Vicky cut thin air and stuffs her with a quick overhand response before piling more leather into her chest as well. Ugh! Pattison didn't expect the jug muggin' switch and loses her focus which only allows Thomalla to pound her back to the ropes where she lifts more of the brunette's rack much to the crowd's delight. Vicky barks in anger and tries to connect with a desperate heave from behind the guard but Thomalla blocks her off and ends the round with another gut-checking series that folds the Brit into loud spasms at the bell.

Round 4:
Sophia runs up the mug muggin' value early in the fourth but Vicky finally laces her up the middle and matches the German for shear intensity before scything her across the mouth. Another wild hook catches the champion on the brow ridge and wobbles her back while Pattison cranks up the hooking volume and flies in with more head shots by design. She clips Thomalla with several single punches but fails to made a desired impact and has to fend off another body assault come the final minute as the champion tries to extend her lead on the cards. This is too close to call as both women land several clean punches and maybe Pattison nicks it right at the bell when she whacks the blonde on the boobs and makes her squeal in discomfort.

Round 5:
An early clash of heads stalls the action in the fifth before Sophia tries to make a progress punching the Geordie woman in the guts. This phone booth struggle suits Vicky though and she clatters into the German's ribcage with several clean shots while matching her for pure work rate. Thomalla bumps her off in jug-to-jug contact but fails to land that intended haymaker and has to settle for a hard-boiled body assault that quickly wears Pattison out. The challenger drops a couple of good hits into the blonde's temples but has to apply the clinching brakes come the final stretch as Sophia piles more leather into her ribcage and displays a raw power advantage. That has to hurt and Pattison folds into noticeable spasms despite later mouthing off at the bell. She's held her own during the first half of this championship bout alright but she needs to find an extra gear to become the new queen of the 120 lbs division.

Round 6:
Both women keep pounding away in fury however Sophia sticks a better series into the brunette's chest and Vicky loses her slugging desire for a change which allows the chmpion to add more vicious shots from point-blank range before she smacks the Geordie challenger in the stomach and bumps her onto the ropes. Pattison gurgles in anger as she swings over the top and seeks that one-punch turnaround but Thomalla ducks underneath those efforts and drops more leather on the exposed cleavage forcing Vicky into deep cover down the stretch. She pins the brunette onto the ropes and works around her elbows to further soften her up and Pattison just can't clinch her into safety which results in a dominant spell for the German champion who unloads more gut-checking fury and leaves the Brit slumped in spasms at the bell.

Round 7:
Sophia gets more aggressive punching through Vicky's high guard and knocks her head back before tearing a small gash under the left eye. The challenger appears to be losing energy at this stage of the fight and she can't stop the German rival from thumping her onto the ropes where Thomalla glues her mitts into the otherwise pretty face! Ugh! Vicky gets beaten for more punches as she tries to hang on during the heads up exchange but only suffers more damage as Sophia cuts her left brow ridge and wobbles into a deep earmuff cover come the final minute. Ugh! Pattison gets desperate and tries to smack the blonde's head off with one swing but slices thin air instead and Sophia slams a left hook on the jaw right at the bell to sink the Geordie babe into loud shrieks. Woof! Sophia gives the challenger a lenghty stare before turning back to her corner and maybe, just maybe she's finally broken Vicky's resistance here?

Round 8:
Vicky feels like she's got nothing to lose anymore and tries to upstage the champion with another slugging push but she runs out of steam half-way through the opening minute and gets picked off over the top as Sophia steps into her counter-punching efforts which quickly turn into a proper rout. She grinds Vicky into a halt in the center of the ring and splits her high guard from both flanks before adding more leather on each temple. Pattison tries to clinch the champion but eats an uppercut double on the jaw and wobbles into a booming right hand on the nose that finally PUTS HER DOWN FOR THE COUNT!!! The Cardiff audience waited a long time for the first knockdown of the night and Vicky is badly affected here as she covers her face with her forearms and makes a late lunge to beat the otherwise slow count. She gets up at eight & a change and somehow it's not quite over yet... for the next ten seconds anyway as Thomalla bullies her right over and drops more head shots on target with the brunette's guard nowhere to be found. Ugh! Sophia is set to rearrange Vicky's face here as she pounds the Geordie babe into a standstill before legs finally give way and SEND PATTISON SLIDING DOWN ON THE CANVAS again!!! And this time it's all over as everyone inside the arena realizes Vicky's challenge has come to premature end. KO8 and STILL the BBU bantamweight champion Sophia Thomalla!!!

AFTER: Gina Wild is the most excited member of the Black Eagles as Sophia keeps a serious face on but examines her mitts to see how much blood stains are present. "That lousy bytch can take some heat but I broke her down in the end!", she tells Gina before finally smiling back to the camera. This was a hard-earned title defense for the Berlin-born actress who extends her unbeaten streak to eleven fights but there is a loud support for the loser as well and Vicky claims "I'll be back" before exiting the ring. She put up a great fight tonight which should cement her place as one of the best bantams in BBU much to Jennifer Metcalfe's & Charlotte Crosby's dismay.

Back to our champion and Sophia is unsure who's next on her radar: "I'll have to see if anyone is desperate enough to fight me. Maisie (Smith) and Vicky were the no-brainer picks and I maybe I offer a charity fight to some big past-prime name just to sell out the news. Okay, so maybe Alesha Dixon is out of the running but there are more soap opera bimbos ready to be had!" (laughs).
