Intro:
Next we have two "Arrowverse" stars with "Flash" star Candice Patton takes on "Legends of Tomorrow" star Caity Lotz in the Mexico City Arena, normally they spar together but tonight one will emerge the better fight when it actually counts.

Going into the fight Candice posted a photo of the two facing off jokingly in sparring, using the caption "to think we did this as a joke after a hard sparring session, next time I see you Caity I am sorry to say I have to knock you out, show you the real skills I hold" this is the photo below.


Candice replied on her own social media "oh is that so Candice, I love you but when we step into the ring I will happily knock you out to move closer to a title shot, I am sick of being ignored by the supposed elite, now is the time I grab the world's attention" she posts a photo showing off her athleticism.


Fight night, out first comes Candice with her coach walking down to the ring, after beating Meghan Markle in her last fight she looks confident, she is wearing a black sports bra with white bikini top, matching trunks and shoes, white gloves, while her hair is tied up into a ponytail, climbing into the ring Candice bounces on her toes in her corner waving to the fans before getting into her warm up routine.

Here comes Caity now, she is marching to the ring thudding her white gloves together, she is wearing a white sports bra, matching trunks and shoes, her hair is tied back into a ponytail too, once in the ring she fist bumps her coach as she looks ready for this.

The friends come together at the middle of the ring, the referee goes through the instructions as the fighter's take a breath as the idea of them hitting each other full on is on the table for the first time since they've known each other, when told to touch gloves they bump gloves respectfully before jogging to their corners, nodding to each other when they reach them, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Bouncing on their toes out their corners, trading jabs as they show each other respect not to wade in too quickly, punches slamming into guards as much as landing on their targets, with the fighters coaches yelling advice as they watch this cagey start to proceedings.

Candice is the first to quicken the pace by first feinting with her jab, dipping down to step in with a straight to the toned abs of her opponent, an overhand left doesn't land flush as Caity gets her right up in time, it does show that Patton isn't here to spar with her friend, she is really trying to win as she comes at Caity again soon after with a one-two combo into her face.

Heading into the halfway point of the round, Caity deflects a straight to counter with a straight of her own, a short left then catches the Flash star on her chin as Caity starts to show off her power punching skills, muscling back her opponent to the ropes, where the short body hooks start to fly in as Candice tries to cover up.

After clinching up with Caity, Candice looks happy to be free in space, it isn't long before the blonde is back on the inside after crouching under a jab to rifle in a straight to the body, followed by an overhand left onto the jaw of her friend to again turn her head, back towards the ropes goes Candice, who needs to shove off Caity to get some breathing room.

At the bell there's a touch of a glove from both to their opponent as they pass by to return to their corners, a slow start for Caity but she looked great later on with her power shots, Candice told to be careful with her attacks, she can't let Caity unload on her.

Round 2:
Back out they come this time fighting with more venom behind their punches right away, Candice steps to the left side of Caity when a right hook comes her way, countering with a short right cross to the side of her opponent's head, a one-two follows to push Caity back a step.

Looking lighter on her feet as she moves side to side, Candice showing her speed advantage over her friend, taking some ramrod single punches that are keeping her honest, the better work rate is coming from Patton as she is punching in volume, keeping Lotz from getting set in her power punching routine.

A double jab followed by a straight land flush into the face of Caity, who has to tighten her guard up as Candice now comes at her, switching up her punches beautifully to test those defences, finding little gaps as Candice looks fully focused on taking down her friend.

Her left dips a little when she has Caity on the ropes, a mistake she regrets as two pounding right hooks turn her head, fighting back off the ropes with less then a minute to go, Caity is getting into that rhythm that has Candice's coach mouthing "sh*t" as they watch her be driven onto the ropes across the ring.

At the bell Candice looked great but Caity is showing her you can't let your guard slip or those power punches will start flying her way, both women listen intently to their coaches as they don't seem to want to look at each other between rounds, maybe worrying they will lose focus on what they need to do if they see their friend being patched up.

Round 3:
Undeterred by how the last round ended, Candice kicks off the action again stinging the cheeks of the Legends of Tomorrow star with straight shots, getting clipped with cross punches but staying away successfully at the moment from the bigger punches, like when Caity swings a right hook that had some real power behind it, Candice ducks under it before moving into space tapping her chin playfully to Caity, who nods in response.

After dodging a left cross, Candice works Caity's body with three short hooks, getting clipped with two right crosses across the top of her head to force her to retreat, Caity keeps on the front foot to cut the ring off, forcing Patton into a fire fight which clearly suits the big puncher, Candice forced to clinch up to force the referee to step in.

Candice is looking great when she has room to work, doubling up her jab to cause a mouse to form under the left eye of her opponent, she is starting to get hit more as time progresses in the round, Caity starting to cut the ring off more, hammering in straights to the face of the Belles fighter to push her back.

In the final forty seconds the two fighters trading more in close as Caity forces the issue, a straight on the chin of Candice opens her up to a left hook that turns her head, into a neutral corner goes Patton as Lotz is on the front foot, banging away with hooks up till the bell rings, Caity turning back to her corner with her coach happy how she finished the round, needing to start off more quickly, Candice meanwhile getting a nod from her coach.

Round 4:
Pushing out her corner knowing she needs to close the gap quicker, Caity is forcing the fight more, both letting their hands go as they fight around the center of the ring, Candice still landing some beautiful double jabs, keeping back Caity from getting too close.

Deflecting a jab Caity gets in closer with an left uppercut to the body, then a right cross to the chin of her opponent, Caity backing up Candice to the ropes, banging in hooks under the ribs of Patton to make her groan out, pulling Caity into a clinch to get them broken apart.

When they resume Candice is back to moving side to side, catching Caity coming in with several good counters, making Candice's coach look slightly more relaxed as they movement of Patton looks back to her free flowing best after the halfway point of the round, a one-two combo landing into the face of Caity to knock her back a step.

As Caity gets pushed near the ropes, she slips a left cross and pounds in a left to the abs of her opponent, then a right cross catches Candice across her lips, cutting the bottom lip of the brunette as Candice backs off, they go toe to toe as the crowd cheer them on, sweat flying off the fighters as they show no love for each other.

The round comes to an end with both women jog back to their corners with both marked up, for the first time as they sit on their stools they look at each other, seeing that they are both starting to break down their opponent, coaches wiping them down, Caity's working on the swelling around her left eye, Candice's lip being worked on.

Round 5:
Banging her gloves together before she heads out her corner, Caity is thrusting more jabs in as she looks to set up her right hand better, Candice the more fleet footed but finding herself being cornered more by Lotz as they box around the ring.

A feint by Caity opens up Candice for a sharp right in her solar plexus, that's took some spring out of her step as Caity pounds in two short hooks to the side of her head, Candice holding onto her opponent to get a moment to breath, they are split apart by the referee with Candice happy to be back at range.

Problem for Patton is Lotz closes the distance on her quickly enough, hammering in another hard right to the body, a left hook turns Candice's head to the side as she is starting to be battered back by the hard hitting blonde, A MISSED RIGHT BY CANDICE OPENS HER UP TO A COUNTER UPPERCUT TO THE BODY, DOWN GOES CANDICE TO ALL FOURS AS SHE IS GASPING!

Caity jogs to the neutral corner banging her gloves together looking a little impatient for the count to begin, 1...2...3.. Candice spits out her gumshield as she tries to get her air back, 4...5...6.. Pushing to her knees seems to hurt as she holds her stomach, 7...8.. Candice shakes her head to her corner crew, 9...10 as she is counted out!

Winner Caity Lotz KO Round 5

After:
Over jogs the winner to check on Candice, Caity kneeling down as she puts her gloved hands on either shoulder of Candice, asking how she is and getting told "promise me not to hit me that hard when we spar" both smiling as clearly their friendship hasn't taken a beating tonight.

Though Candice's body clearly has as Caity helps her with her coach to her stool in her corner, the Belle's coach congratulating Caity as they share a respectful fist bump and a nod, before Candice gets an ice pack on her body to numb the pain she is in.

Caity looks relieved she didn't have to badly hurt her friend to get the win, telling her coach "I am glad that is out the way" her coach nodding as they help with her gloves, telling Caity how proud they are of her for doing what she needed to do tonight, Caity thanking them for helping her through this.

When both fighters are ready they head to the center of the ring, Candice applauding Caity when the winners right hand is raised in victory, both pose with an arm around the back of their friend, one fist raised as they are smiling, then they promise the other they'll see them for a drink after the event.

Candice steps out the ring looking great again when on top, the hard schedule she is on though keeps finding her just short, maybe a few easier fights to build momentum is in order for her before challenging a top fifteen level fighter again, she is smiling as she hasn't taken this defeat to heart.

In the ring Caity blows kisses to the crowd for their support, telling the nearest camera "you can't hide from me forever Demi (Rose Mawby) your fat ass will be mine someday" calling out the champion as she raises her right fist, Caity is certainly starting to put the wins together now and with her fearsome power and stamina, she is surely a champion in waiting for most pundits.

For now she heads out the ring knowing she will have to wait for a shot, so resides herself to telling her coach the Tequila's are on her tonight, making her coach laugh as they walk to the locker rooms, hoping for more nights to celebrate.
