Pre-Fight:

“I just want to know one thing: Who the HELL does this loser think she is?” says Jenny. “Call me out? ME? Her little stable mate Elyse should have told her what happens when newbies mess with J-mac! I don’t care if she’s got the size, I’ve got a Hall of Fame deserving career to my name! I’ve wrecked her once before and I’m gonna wreck her little debut too!”

Jenny leans into a camera and pushes up at her cleavage, "Oh and these are going back on that stupid little face when I'm through with the punching!!!"

“Let’s see, why don’t I like Jenny McCarthy…?” says Laura as she taps the still healing scar Jenny applied to her cheek. The room of reporters chuckle. “I mean, how many people in this league like her really? She has to know the fans don’t love her, right? She’s a heel. The only problem is she’s not particularly intimidating or good at fighting. I might be a rookie, but I still have my entire career ahead of me. All Jenny has to look forward to is her bed-time, which I plan on delivering early tonight.”

Jenny comes out to her signature song, “Mack the Knife” by Bobby Darin. The blonde sports a kelly green and white striped bikini top with green shorts. Laura goes more modest with a black sports bra and black shorts, hair tugged back in a ponytail. Her choice of song seemingly mocking her opponent as she walks out to “Return of the Mack” by Mark Morrison.

R1:

Everyone is waiting to see how the rookie Laura is going to look, and as she comes out of the corner it’s clear that despite having the size on Jenny, she also moves damn well. Her taught frame dodges a few early blitzes by McCarthy, who mimics her crouched approach that served her well early in her previous Beckinsale fight.

Laura’s reach is doing a good job at keeping J-Mac at bay. Some smart jabs and quality footwork frustrates McCarthy as she just can’t seem to land anything clean. Laura looking smooth as she defends against a one-two and then counters with a sneaky left to the chin. McCarhty forced back and the bigger fighter now takes control.

A jab, a jab, a jab, McCarthy finally swings her head out of the way and then pivots with a nice uppercutting left to the torso of Harrier. Laura lefts out a whoosh from her lips and Jenny thinks she’s hurt her… but not quite.

Jenny trying to go full combo mode, but Laura is just too slick as Jenny hits only air. A nice counter with an uppercut and now it’s Laura who is pushing the tempo. She gets Jenny all the way to the ropes until finally the bell rings, ending the first round.

A nice showing for the rookie as she goes up 10-9 on McCarthy.

R2:

Here comes a classic J-Mac blitz. Throwing all caution to the wind, she’s determined to let her power really sink in on Laura. And sink in it does. Body shots early against the rookie, and those will definitely take a toll on an inexperienced boxer as the fight continues. Jenny knows this as her gloves continue to sink into the toned abs of Harrier.

Laura has to throw her arms around Jenny in the clinch. She looks over at her corner where stable mate Elyse Willems is trying to give instructions. The ref comes in and breaks them up, and as soon as they’re apart Jenny lands a stunning uppercut to Laura’s chin.

Laura wobbly now. She’s stumbling back. In comes McCarthy!!! Laura’s arms up as she’s full defense mode. J-Mac throwing haymakers to those forearms, looking to break Laura’s defense. It holds and eventually Laura is able to get some super slick counter-punches in to break the blonde’s offensive rhythm.

The Free Puncher escapes to the middle of the ring, where she does some better work. J-Mac still the aggressor, but Laura is patient. She wades through the barrage of punches to slip in some jabs and straight rights to Jenny’s chin.

The bell rings and Jenny ends up with a fairly wide round, tied up 19-19.

R3:

Jenny once more like a rabid hyena coming out of the corner. She had Laura there in Round 2 and she wants to finish her.

But it seems someone has read the scouting report on J-Mac. Laura lets her come in, then as soon as she begins to open herself up with her punches… WHAP, a beautiful pivot with the right foot and Laura’s right hand becomes a heat seeking missile to J-Mac’s nose.

The blonde is now laboring a bit as it’s Laura landing pretty much anything she wants. A particularly nasty overhead right hook almost spins McCarthy around, but the blonde grabs the ropes and is able to stay on her feet. Laura comes into the defensive Jenny and begins to just brutally hammer the body.

The round goes on with more of that for most of it as the clock bleeds into the third minute. A cut under Jenny’s eye has started to form, but there’s no imminent danger there. Laura controlled the action so far, and as she gets Jenny into a corner she starts to throw some more combos that Jenny needs to lift her guard to defend.

As Laura continues to tee off though a realization starts to sink in. Her arms are a little heavy… she’s not getting as satisfying a pop off the glove as she was earlier in the round.

The worst part: Jenny knows it.

Laura has punched herself out a little her, and with a pivoting upper cut to the chin Laura is bristled back. Jenny going on the attack just as the bell rings.

Harrier takes the round, but those arms are hanging… 29-28.

R4:

A boxing debut represents lessons for all kinds of fighters, and Laura is getting a heavy dose of teaching right now. She lacks the experience and conditioning of her opponent, so while she starts out the round trading blows in the middle of the ring with J-Mac, she simply cannot keep up the pace.

Jenny however has been honed by over two decades of boxing. She’s used to the grind. And grind she’s about to do, as a very defensive Laura realizes she can’t get through Jenny’s guard any more.

J-Mac begins to open it up. Left, left, left… then she feigns another left and hits Laura with a brutal right cross. Harrier looks frazzled. Her mouth is open. Her chest rapidly rising and falling. As great of shape as she’s in, boxing training is just different.

The Free Puncher’s body now getting worked, and those hands are drifting down ever so slightly. Jenny with a huge right over Laura’s guard and the rookie’s knees buckle. Lucky for her the bell rings and the ref comes in before Jenny can get a cheap shot in.

Despite an early effort by Laura, Jenny takes that round fairly handedly… 38-38.

R5:

Laura is breathing very heavily now. She takes a concerted effort to get off of her stool. It’s only the fifth round, but she’s clearly exhausted.

That’s fine for J-Mac.

She begins to brutalized her tired opponent. Laura gets smacked all around the ring. She does a good job of keeping her defense up, but eventually Jenny gets her in the corner. The smirking blonde sees fear in Laura’s eyes. The same fearful eyes she saw during their little tiff at the contract signing. The one that ended up with Laura knocked out on her own couch with duct tape over her mouth.

Jenny sees it now. Left cross followed up with a right one. Laura not competitive at all right now. One more brutal overhand right and Laura drops to knees!!!

Big wide doe eyes as Laura’s lower lip hangs low, her mouth guard nearly falling out. She shakes her head, blinking a bit just to try to stable herself. On all fours as a gloating J-Mac yells down at her.

“Get up you little frickin’ nobody!!! Come on, not done with you yet! Get up!!!”

Laura shakes her head again and pushes herself up to her feet at the eight count. She nods saying she can continue and as soon as she does Jenny comes reeling toward her.

Harrier clinches after a few body shots and as she breaks the clinch, she gets in a slick right to Jenny’s chin. The blonde a little shocked as she just had this girl on the canvas. Jenny comes in with a huge left hook, which a wobbly Harrier is somehow able to duck and follow up with a completely open uppercut.

Jenny’s head snaps back. Laura tries to come in for more, but Jenny is having none of it as she dodges a right and buries two straight lefts to Laura’s ribs.

The round ends with a slightly annoyed Jenny huffing and puffing back to her corner complaining about the ref not counting fast enough. But still she takes the round and the lead, 48-46 McCarthy.

R6:

J-Mac wants BLOOD.

She knocked Laura down last round, now she wants to knock her head off of her shoulders! And it shows as she wildly begins flailing haymakers at Harrier.

Huge mistake, as Harrier can see them coming a mile away. She almost can’t believe how badly Jenny is telegraphing her punches. Laura knows her power is zapped after punching herself out, so she needs to pick her spots.

For the first two minutes it’s Jenny chasing Laura around the ring. She’s getting a few shots in, but nothing that can send Laura to the canvas. Harrier being patient, watching and waiting. Soaking in every blow as well as every whiff. It’s going to take the right timing to take this fight back…

And there it is. An overhead right. Laura actually smiles as she sees it coming. A smooth duck and then with her right hand swinging up from her wasit... WHAM.

Uppercut. Chin. McCarthy. Down. Out. Cold.

Winner by KO in Round 6: Laura Harrier!!!

Post-Fight:

“Return of the Mack” blares over the speakers as Jenny’s fans are in complete shock. She out-fought Harrier by a wide margin, and yet it’s the blonde being peeled off of the canvas and not Laura.

Laura catches a glimpse as her posse drags her back to her corner and she sees that cut on her cheek pretty wide now. Laura in her own group receiving hugs and pats on the back touches her glove to the claw marks on her cheek. A cut for a cut.

Then she turns to her teammates as they all soak it in... their first fight as a new stable.

“That little… I just!!! UGH,” says a groggy but clearly frustrated Jenny. “This… this is NOT OVER!!! You hear me? She’s on my sh*t list now!!! Laura Carrier or whatever the hell her name is!!! You hear me??? ON. MY. LIST!!!”

“Well I think Jenny McCarthy privately kicking my ass was the best thing for me,” says Laura. “And yes… that really happened. But, it made me even more serious about this fight, really serious. Are there some things I have to clean up? Absolutely. For instance I thought I was this super fit person who could easily handle a boxing training regiment, turns out it’s not that easy! So we’ll have to adjust some things there, I can’t be punching myself out round three if I want to advance far in this league. But everything else I’m happy with. Thought my footwork was better than hers. Thought my offensive and defensive fight plans were better than hers. For a rookie I thought I came in extremely prepared, which is just kind of my MO. Nobody is going to out-prepare me for a fight. Nobody.”
