BEFORE:

"It's very, very frustrating," says Taylor with a shake of the head. "I just can't believe I can't get fights around here. Three. Three in four years. Ridiculous. But, I've got a chance tonight. And, I'm going to take full advantage of it."

"This girl," says Gemma, "Has plenty of tools. She just needs opportunities. Unfortunately, she's in with a girl with even MORE tools tonight."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back and ringside and that's 'Going To Hell' by the Pretty Reckless, and here comes the lead singer of that group, and the star of 'Hansel and Gretel', Taylor Momsen!"

McCarthy: "Another girl with ONE FCBA win..."

Tess: "But, as Taylor points out, only THREE FCBA fights..."

McCarthy: "And, as I CONTINUE to remind you, Walmart, I had FCBA wins BEFORE I had FCBA FIGHTS!"

Cassie: "What color is the sky in your world, Mac?"

McCarthy: "SHUT UP, SCABBO!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Taylor into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal that black number we've seen before. And, that's 'London Calling' by The Clash pounding through the arena, and that can only mean that 'The Gravesend Gladiator', Gemma Arterton is on her way to the ring..."

Tess: "Gems all smiles on her way to the ring tonight..."

O'Dell: "Definitely enjoying the walk down in Front Street's home arena. She's into the ring now and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that violet number that's become so familiar. And, the ladies are about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess likes Gemma. Mac?"

McCarthy: "ONE FCBA win. Arterton!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Here we go, and Momsen right to work with the left hand. Very aggressive early, popping that left at range and dropping right hands in behind it. Arterton thrown to the defensive as Momsen gets off in combination again and again. This is good stuff from the blonde early, Mac..."

McCarthy: "Kid's got nothing to lose. Might as well get after it."

O'Dell: "And, that's what she's doing. She's working the left hand, snapping that in Gemma's face again and again. Arterton not hurt, not even back-footed, but she is being suppressed right now as the blonde continues staying very, very busy here, showing a ton of aggression..."

Tess: "Sound stuff, too."

O'Dell: "Is, indeed. Nothing sloppy about any of it. We're coming into the final ten seconds of the first. GOOD combination again from Momsen. Taylor fires ANOTHER flurry that forces Gemma to cover up, and there's the bell. No doubt about the first. It's Taylor and wide."

Cassie: "And the blonde is off to the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Momsen back to work in the second, but Arterton firing back now and HERE WE GO! We've got ourselves a FIREFIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING with both blonde and brunette letting the hands go! Crowd getting into this in a big way as these lightweights exchange BOMBS..."

Cassie: "GOOD right from Gemma!"

O'Dell: "And Momsen ties her up to slow this down a little. Ref gets in there to break the fighters apart, and Taylor gets back to range and back to that jab. Gems angling some now, popping her own left at Taylor before taking a step in behind it and landing a right hand..."

Tess: "Things settling now."

O'Dell: "Definitely are, but there's still plenty of action, with both fighters very busy. We're down to twenty seconds to go in the second. Nice exchange there, with Gemma getting the better of it. Momsen gives a little ground and Gems steps in to land a solid right at the bell. Close this time. Arterton."

McCarthy: "And, we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third begins like the second ended, with with the ladies working at range and staying very, very busy. Momsen doing an awful lot of work with that left hand. Gems looking to avoid it, take a jab step forward, then get off. Little bit of cat and mouse going on here..."

Cassie: "Except both fighters are the cat in that scenario..."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it. Sharp exchange! Both blonde and brunette land some solid shot, but nobody hurt and both fighters back to work. Going to say this is very good stuff from Momsen, who looks like deserving more opportunities in the FCBA than she's gotten so far..."

McCarthy: "I agree. I like this kid. Maybe I'll sign her..."

O'Dell: "Down the stretch. Not a lot in it in the third. Good trade right there! And both ladies landed a hard right. Again, though, nobody hurt and blonde and brunette back to work. Final seconds tick away and there's the bell. Very, very close. This time it's Taylor's round."

Tess: "And Momsen back on top 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "More of the same as we start the fourth. Ladies have settled into some boxing here, and nobody interested in working to change the terms. Not surprising, because both fighters are doing well at the moment, getting offense on with both hands..."

Tess: "Plenty of good defense being played, too."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it. Lots of head, hands, and foot movement. Punches are slipped and blocked. But, plenty of other leather is getting through. Once again, nobody hurt, but plenty of points being scored and punishment being handed out as this one rolls along."

McCarthy: "Again, I might SIGN this kid..."

Cassie: "Because you're such a great judge of talent. You cut TAYLOR HILL!"

McCarthy: "She's a TALENTLESS TOOTHPICK!"

Tess: "Who won the Unified Lightweight Title for Front Street..."

McCarthy: "LUCKY!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Down to the final seconds of the fourth round, and, once again, not a lot in it. GOOD flurry there from Gemma, though, as she backs up the blonde and follows up with another quick flurry that has Momsen on the back foot and there's the bell. Close. But the late rally from Gems plays and we're even at 38."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth begins with Gems landing a couple of nice combinations and tossing the blonde onto the defensive! All of a sudden, the brunette's in control here. She's got Taylor backing up in a major way, as Arterton makes with the heavy leather. Momsen not hurt, but she can't get off the back foot..."

Cassie: "This is what a top light, especially one with power, can do..."

O'Dell: "Momsen banging back in spots, but that's all she can manage at the moment. Gemma has taken complete control of this thing with very effective aggression. She's lining up the blonde, landing hard leather. Taylor can't get off square and she can't get off, period, most of the time..."

McCarthy: "Playing good defense, though..."

O'Dell: "Definitely is. We're coming down the stretch, and Momsen still not able to stabilize the front. Instead, Gemma taking canvas anytime she wants it. Ten seconds left. Good combination from Arterton, and there's the bell. No doubt about it in this frame. Gemma. Wide."

Tess: "And Arterton pulls into a 48-47 lead."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Adjustment early from Momsen. She's turning now, moving to her right, away from Gemma's power, staying off square, angling, getting off quickly, then getting back to using the feet. And, that movement's changed everything. Gems can't locate as effectively as she did in previous rounds..."

McCarthy: "And, the kid is taking full advantage. She's getting the better of things."

O'Dell: "And, in a major way. Arterton trying to get some offense going, but being frustrated. Instead, it's Taylor landing a flurry, then, perhaps, getting hit with a single counter before going back to the slow circle to her right. Really good stuff from Momsen just when it looked like Arterton was going to take control."

Tess: "Management at Front Street has always liked Taylor. She's certainly impressing tonight..."

O'Dell: "Under thirty in the sixth. Momsen a quick combination, blocks a right hand counter, gets off in combination AGAIN! Nice stuff from the blonde as the final seconds tick off in this one. One more combination from Taylor and there's the bell. No doubt. Momsen and wide."

Cassie: "And, we're even again, this time at 57."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Momsen turning again, a slow circle to her left. Arterton the one adjusting now, she's cutting down the angle by stepping forward and LANDING A SOLID RIGHT HAND! That got Taylor's attention and Arterton letting the hands go and DOWN GOES TAYLOR! Momsen DROPPED by a NASTY left hook!"

Cassie: "That might do it..."

O'Dell: "Arterton to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Taylor sits up at six. Seven. Eight. Momsen to her feet at nine. Referee going to think about this as he gives her the mandatory, but, he waves on Gemma! Arterton quickly backing her rival to the ropes with a TON of heavy shot..."

Tess: "Still over a minute to go here..."

O'Dell: "Going to be a LONG minute for Taylor. Gemma banging away and LANDS A NASTY LEFT HOOK AGAIN! Momsen wobbles and Gemma with a BIG flurry and THAT'S IT! The ref has seen enough! He leaps between the fighters and bundles Taylor to safety and it's OVER! And your winner by TKO7 is 'The Gravesend Gladiator', Gemma Arterton!"

McCarthy: "Hometown ref!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Gemma Arterton, and, Gems, that was a good fight..."

Gemma (nodding): "Didn't have any doubts. This girl has plenty of tools. If she gets work, she'll be right up among the top lightweights."

Tess: "Big doings happening around Front Street..."

Gemma (smiling): "And, I can't wait to see how it all shakes out. Front Street 3.0 is going to be a LOAD of fun!"
