Alyssa Lynch vs Daisy Ridley

(Results: Lookout!, Words: Caspian)

Alyssa:
(26, 5’7, 36:15 FCBA, VIXENs)

Daisy:
(29, 5’7, 15:14 FCBA, Knockout Babes)

BEFORE:
Alyssa’s in red gloves for this contest; Ridley in dark, midnight blue gloves. Both ladies are squaring off at the podium in the pre-fight segment, the pair of brunettes coming into this fight at the same height and weight, toned tummies and puffed chests utilised to intimidate the other woman.

Alyssa’s wearing an all-pink sports bra and short tights, long hair loose over her shoulders, whereas Daisy is in an all-black sports bra, sports briefs poking out of her loose white trousers.

“Star Wars sucks! There, I said it!” Alyssa says it indeed with a laugh at the uproar from the rest of the room. “Daisy’s unfortunate enough to be caught up in the worst remake since Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Not that her acting was bad, mind you. She’s just not an interesting character to watch.”

“And neither can be said about you, dear,” Ridley fires back almost immediately. “Alyssa’s been languishing in the mid-tiers of the FCBA for the longest time. Most girls would have given up and moved on. But Lynch seems content with mediocrity. She may bash my on-screen career, but at least I’m the only millionaire in the room.”

Sharp words and the staredown moments later is equally heated, and both ladies have to be separated prematurely, with both Daisy and Alyssa led back to their respective entrances by the side. Hours later, we’re back in the ring, and their stretching and gearing up for a most pivotal fight in their careers. Referee gets the nod and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Fast-paced action from a pair of young ladies looking to make their mark on the world: Daisy and Alyssa circle at the bell, tossing jabs at each other to test what the other girl can do. They’re both landing shots to the face or forehead, though not doing much damage at this early point of the fight. Ridley’s the one showing incredible promise, mixing up her attacks high and low, confounding Alyssa’s guard when the Vixen drops her guard to intercept a tummy blow but gets caught on the face by a fast, follow-up bash to the nostrils. Alyssa is the one who gets pushed back in the remainder of the first round, blocking firmly but ceding ground to the Knockout Babes starlet. Ridley’s fans are cheering their Star Wars heroine on, Ridley empowered as she walks Alyssa down, continues to bash combos into her arms and body, and Alyssa almost gets pushed into the ropes when the bell finally rings to save her soul. Ill tidings indeed if this is the way the fight will go for the other nine rounds, with Ridley already celebrating with a fist raised high on her way back to her corner.

ROUND 2:
More spirited aggression from the Hollywood actress, as Ridley throws another feint left, only to catch Alyssa on the face with a grazing hook. Lynch is getting outplayed in there in this game of cat-and-mouse, grunting as she fends off another straight cross with both her arms. The Vixen is moving backwards but always conscious of her surroundings, trying to control Daisy a little better this time with her right jab stuck out and constantly shoved into the lips or forehead. Ridley is still trying to press in, outright aggression having worked in the first round but now getting her head tossed back as another of Alyssa’s lightning jab combos finds its mark. The Vixen is well-versed in such countermeasures, and for now, escapes with more wild leather tanned to the sides and body. Not the best round for Lynch, but she somewhat stems the tide and makes it to the next round.

ROUND 3:
What’s Alyssa’s gameplan here? She’s staying static for these past three rounds, keeping her distance and letting Daisy put her hands all over her. First minute sees the Vixen staying back again, arms up and tummy beating hard, and Daisy doing the chasing down, the actress making short forays into the fray and slamming combos into Alyssa’s arms, the occasional hook stunned to the side body before going for a big ending to the guard to try and break Alyssa’s will once and for all. No dice, at least not for now, with Lynch keeping away but remaining nimble on her toes, evading that last hook or uppercut with a swerve to the side or weave of the head out of range. Daisy definitely secured the first two minutes of this carefully calibrated dance, but Alyssa begins to fight back in the last: a one-two counter-combo to the cheek before Riley’s head is almost taken off by a snap uppercut to the chin. It’s Ridley’s turn to fall back, shaking her head slightly, only to get gutted in half by yet another one-two number to the body. Alyssa’s been biding her time, and losing three rounds in a row still hasn’t dissuaded her from pushing in till the very last moment. Bell rings and this fight is still wide open, with both women breathing hard from opposite corners of the ring.

ROUND 4:
Daisy’s speed is slowing, clearly, still meeting Alyssa halfway to the middle but throwing fewer hands at the Vixen, and her head is moving a lot slower as well as she tries to evade the blowback. Lynch is timing her shots just about right, absorbing a flurry to her arms before snapping her own straight hand into Daisy’s nose, a satisfying crunch of leather hitting flesh as Ridley grunts from a third disorienting blow. Ladies engage in a free-for-all in the third minute, Ridley refusing to back down any longer as the two brunettes plant their feet and SWING AWAY! Mutual grunts and growls as Ridley stuns Alyssa across the face with a nasty hook but takes one of her own across the chin. Ladies switch to the body and POUND away on tummy, fists chugging in to their sides in mutually assured destruction, though Lynch employs her guard a little more to deflect, timing a lunging uppercut perfectly to stun Ridley square to the midsection, bowling her over with a guttural grunt. Bell rings and for now, the Vixen has done more than enough to finally earn herself a round!

ROUND 5:
Daisy on the downward spiral as she spends this round fending off Alyssa’s attacks, the Vixen emboldened by her victory and now charging Daisy down and wailing upon her with abandon. Ridley’s turn to cover her head up and scramble, upper torso taking a beating left and right but the rest of her body jerking and lurching from stiff blows from Alyssa’s gloves. Ladies clinch up momentarily when Daisy’s back hits the ropes, the actress opting to dip low and surge forward to tie Lynch up rather than be her personal punching bag. Smart move, but how long is it going to save her from going down, with Lynch smothering her against the ropes and struggling to get free. Referee has to reset them multiple times, and to Daisy’s credit, she does try to jab back at Alyssa’s face, trying to slow the Vixen down, but Alyssa also answers back with a clapping shot to the middle of her arms before another burying combo finds its way to the tummy. Daisy’s using the ropes at the bell to prop herself up, belly bleating hard as she struggles for breath.

ROUND 6:
AND HERE COMES DAISY, looking to turn the tide back once more! She meets Alyssa head-on with a crazy overhand swing that’s narrowly deflected by Alyssa’s arms, and the two women take turns pushing each other back with equal ferocity! One fighter takes a beating all over, a hook slammed to the head whilst more body blows sink into her naked paunch, before the other returns with vengeance, throwing her opponent’s head back with a sudden swipe across the face, then rushing inwards to bury a lasting uppercut into the stomach. More messy clinchs of course in the middle of all this action, and the two fiery brunettes take the opportunity to catch their breaths, mouths hanging open on shoulders, gloves still working to stun the side of the ear or bat at the side tummy. Bell rings and neither girl is really in the mood for love, stumbling back to their corners amidst the loud cheers of the crowd for more.

ROUND 7:
Both fighters are tiring but Ridley’s clearly fading faster, those first three rounds of dominance now catching up with her depleted stamina. She spends the first minute trying to fight Alyssa off her case, the occasional jab flurry exchanged between the two but Lynch always ending off with a nasty shot to the middle of her face or her body to drive her back further. Ridley’s in trouble when another cross catches her clean between the eyes, throwing her back into the ropes clean. No chance for a clinch-up this time as Lynch opts to stay at a comfortable distance and WAIL AWAY on Daisy’s body and arms! Daisy’s hurt, getting rocked and bothered all the way to a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away! Final right hand is DRIVEN through the arms and into her chin, and THAT’S IT, Ridley’s OUT LIKE A LIGHT, groaning as she FALLS DOWN TO HER SIDE! It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Alyssa Lynch, and a final one at that! Daisy stays motionless throughout the entire ten-count, till the referee waves his arms over her prone body to end the fight!

Official Decision: Alyssa Lynch defeats Daisy Ridley via KO7!

AFTER:
“Told you I was better,” Lynch smirks to reporters later by ringside, still breathing hard. “She had a good start in the business, but as usual, failed to follow up with consistency and grit. Tonight, she became my personal punching bag.”

Daisy meanwhile is being tended to by the medics, and the shock and exhaustion on her face simply means she got overwhelmed in the final few seconds of this fight. Still, a good showing in the opening means she still has plenty of potential to one day be champion here in the FCBA.

For Lynch, beating a former BBU Bantamweight champion means the world to her, and surely a booster shot to her own title ambitions. Lynch walks away tonight smiling and waving to her fans in the audience, leaving the rest of us to consider what future opponent she has in mind.
