Alexis Ren vs Maya Hawke

BEFORE:

 
“Who’s this punk b*tch think she is?” Alexis turns her nose up at her competition early on at the press conference. “Hawke was in a couple of Netflix shows - so the f*ck what? I’ll give her a proper welcome to the squared circle! And then, I’m gonna do the same to puny little Cohen next month. Just you wait and see!”

Maya Hawke, of course, has been a recent addition to the hit television show, Stranger Things, quickly becoming a fan favourite and love interest for her on-screen counterpart, Joe Keery. More interesting, however, is the fact that her parents are the famed Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, themselves famed celebrities in Hollywood.

“I’m ready to move up the ladder and kick some skinny model’s ass!” Maya says with determination, drawing laughter and hoots from the crowd. “Ren’s used her body to gain her fame, and so the only thing going for her is her good looks. While my character Robin would definitely appreciate that, Maya has no problem bashing her face in!”

Ladies almost get into a scuffle as they face off on stage. They’re both the same height but Hawke might be slightly bulkier in terms of muscle mass. No matter for the firebrand Ren, who quickly spouts more insults into the dirty blonde’s face, tries to lunge at her a couple more times with outstretched fingernails.

Fight night rolls around and Alexis is wearing a pearly-white bikini top with red boxing trunks. Maya has gone for a simple dark blue sports bra and black trunks. We also have Rens’ yellow gloves to Maya’s black. HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
Alexis is clearly not taking her foe seriously tonight, still smirking and waving to the crowds even after the opening bell. Even as the two girls meet in the center with their fists up, she plays with Hawke, gesturing at her to come at her if she can. Maya on the other hand stays focused, eyes fixed on Alexis’ movements, waiting for the opportune moment to STUN the proud Vixen to the face with a sudden punch outta nowhere! OUCH indeed, but more so to Ren’s pride as the leather glove crunches into the middle of her face with a ROAR of approval from the crowds! Ren lets out a shriek of pain, goes scrambling backwards, already looking to be in tatters! AND HERE COMES MAYA, falling back on her training to rock the blonde further with combo after combo, hitting up high to the arms or smack to the midsection to drive Alexis back from whence she came! Ren’s suddenly thrown into survival mode, that smirk wiped clean off her face as she struggles to adapt, using her longer legs to scoot away the best she can till the bell rings. BAD round for the Vixen, but that’s what you get for underestimating your opponent!

ROUND 2:
Fight turned serious now as Ren’s no longer smirking or f*cking around. The Vixen keeps her mouth shut and lets her fists do the talking instead, keeping a good distance whilst socking Maya to the mouth whenever the brunette attempts to get in close for more action. Hawke is the one who looks out of depth here instead, her cheek getting bunched in or head turned to the side with a counter-hook sent across, Ren using the rookie’s own wild momentum against her to make her stumble multiple times. Hawke does get a few of her own hits in, of course, momentarily stunning Ren to the forehead with an overhand swing in the third minute, but is unable to pin the blonde down for any prolonged period of time. Instead, Ren makes up for lost time at the bell, pumping her arms as she takes it wide.

ROUND 3:
Hawke, however, is determined to gain her territory back. She marches Ren down at every opportunity she gets, sees more success when her power blows begin to land more frequently and impactfully on Ren’s body and guard. The difference in their builds means Ren is literally thrown in a specific direction each time one of Maya’s hooks or crosses stuns into her. But the Vixen does her best to adapt and keep even further away, her long legs working in overtime as she returns with crisp jabs that continue to tag Maya on the face. Who knows who’s gaining the upper hand in this round, and it’s a seesaw ride indeed even till the final seconds of the bell: Maya sending flurries towards Alexis’ head, who’s bobbing and weaving around the more laborious ones before returning with a lightning jab or two to the lips.

ROUND 4:
Maya’s corner is still urging their girl to go all in, however, and Hawke obliges, teetering on her feet for the first few seconds before suddenly BLAZING her fists towards Ren, hoping to trap the lean blonde against the ropes for punishment. It works, with Ren letting out a shriek of pain as a straight right hand is driven into her arms, then her head and upper torso get stunned to the side from more follow-up hooks that shriek in. IT’S MAYA’S SHOW as the brunette wades in close, arms and elbows chugging away at blonde belly and arms, hoping to do enough damage to break Ren’s guard apart and blow her entire house down. Ren for the most part is struggling and scrambling to get away, keeps her head hidden and even clinching up on occasion to take a breather on Maya’s shoulder. Hawke’s still kinda new to these counter-punching tactics, having trouble throwing the sticky blonde off her, and the bell rings to award her the round wide, though we have a feeling she was expecting much more.

ROUND 5:
Ren now is even more wary than before, eyes fixed on Maya’s movements, and twitching backwards at the smallest hint of a sudden rush her way. She anticipates more of Hawkes’ charges this way, scooting backwards with ease before punishing the other girl with a return jab to the face or chest. Hawke’s the one taking damage, and it shows, shaking her head as another one-two combination streaks into her nostrils, turning parts of her face a bright shade of pink. Maya’s still relentless, tries a third time to RUSH REN DOWN, only for the Vixen to weave back and avoid another wild hook - Ren squares her shoulders and POWERS a hook of her own into the side of Maya’s face, and that appears to have done the trick! Hawkes’ groggy as hell, stumbling to the side and using the ropes to break her fall - she still DROPS to her knees, however, her head hanging on the middle rope, in a first KNOCKDOWN for Alexis Ren!

Not the cleanest KO attempt but Ren’s not complaining, the Vixen already throwing her hands into the air before heading back to the neutral corner to catch her breath. Meanwhile, Hawke is slowly pushing her way back up, one foot at a time, using the ropes to steady herself by the count of 8. She nods to the referee that she intends to continue, but she still needs to survive another two minutes left on the clock!

Sound of the bell and HERE COMES ALEXIS, her nostrils flaring and teeth bared as she looks to FINISH this charade of a fight! Maya lets out a grunt of pain mixed with surprise as the first punches come sailing into her being, Ren hounding her to her head with a relentless stream of lefts and rights before occasionally digging gloves into that pale tummy in order to get her to drop her guard… Hawke’s almost defenceless, simply groaning and jerking from the multitude of punches landing all over. One of her arms suddenly DROPS to the side and that’s the signal for the referee to END THINGS! He leaps in to cover the battered actress, and waves for the bell! It’s OVER!!

Official Decision: Alexis Ren defeats Maya Hawke via TKO5!

AFTER:
Ren ends the year on a celebratory note, but of course, would have liked to knock Maya’s lights out. “That was just a tune-up,” she says later to reporters. “I’m MORE than ready to beat little Cohen up next month. She can just ask Hawke how hard I can hit!”

Hawke, meanwhile, ends the year on a sour note, her newfound popularity from the hit TV show not doing much else to elevate her physical performance in the ring. Still, she’s young, with loads of room for improvement! We’d bet we’re going to see more of her in the future!
