Before: Another IBB newcomer, beauty pageant boxer (she was Miss Italia 2015) turned model has compiled a decent 4-2-0 record in her debut year. She has been working her way through the veteran Welterweight Division’s lower ranks and now will face former Welterweight Champion Mandy Moore. Mandy is currently going through a rough patch having lost her last 3 bouts, though to good welters in Jennifer Lawrence, Robyn Lawley and Emma Corrin.

“I just want to keep building on the 4 of 6 wins I have gotten this year,” says Alice in the prefight press meeting, “I think Mandy is vulnerable and she is someone I ought to be able to defeat.”

Mandy seems offended by Alice’s remarks: “I may look vulnerable, but I am overdue for a ‘bounce back’ win and this rookie seems a good get that win against. Never count out Mandy Moore—because you could be the one being counted out as you kiss the canvas.”

Fight night finds Alice entered the ring and removing her robe to reveal a classic black one piece with black boots (white laces) and white gloves (black laces). Alice’s close cropped loose and dry. Mandy enters and removes her robe: she is a silver gray one piece with black gloves ad boots (silver gray laces). Her pulled back in a tight battle braid. Alice and Mandy eye each other warily during the ring instructions. Curt glove tap and they go back to their corners. The bell rings…

R1: Mandy jabbing Alice to the face and side of the head as the face opens. Alice trying to counter to Mandy’s head, but Moore’s jabs are keeping her from setting up firmly. Mandy then shifts to working Alice’s stomach and ribs. Alice trying to circle but gets a sock to the jab from a Mandy Moore right. Alice on her heels, her gloves up around her face as Mandy now pounds away at Alice’s ribs. Steady smacking punches by Mandy are bruising up Alice’s ribs as the round draws to a close. Round wide to Mandy Moore.

R2: Alice trying to be more aggressive early on as she tries to jab her way in against Mandy. However Mandy answers with several solid jabs of her own into Alice’s lace and then a cracking right off the model’s jaw. Alice falling back , mitts up high as now Mandy works over those ribs again, but now Mandy adds some hooks to the stomach. Alice bent forward as Mandy continues to pump her shots into Alice’s ribs and abs. Steady thump thump thump and Alice is being kept on the defensive with only a few counters that don’t slow up Mandy’s advance. Mandy looks to be getting Alice into the ropes, but time runs out before she can achieve this.

R3: Mandy goes forward against Alice, but as she does, Alice strikes back with a ringing right to Mandy’s jaw. Mandy stops, stunned and then Alice fires away hard to Mandy’s chin. Mandy falls back and Alice eagerly gives chase. Mandy able to regroup and fires counterattack hooks into Alice’s body. Alice now stalled, but then shifts to attacking Mandy to the body. Two are exchanging hooks to the ribs, stomach and eventually the breasts. Bodies really getting working over and it stays even until late when Alice clips Mandy’s chin and the veteran lurches back. Alice finishes with more body pounding and she wins a close round.

R4: Alice and Mandy both out swiftly and eagerly resume the battle at close range. Mandy really driving her punches home against Alice’s body. Alice hitting back punch for punch early but then repeated Mandy Moore hooks to the belly seem to knock the wind of her. Alice retreats to catch her breath. Mandy in pursuit and the body battle resumes. This time Mandy is working over Alice’s rib cage and she soon has Alice grimacing in pain with each new impact. Aiice hanging in despite the pain in her ribs, but when the bell rings the judges give the close round to Mandy Moore.

R5: They go right back at it as the bell sounds for the 5th stanza. Mandy and Alice to center ring where they are soon toe to toe firing those short rights and lefts into each other’s now throbbing torsos. Mandy working the ribs and stomach. Alice hitting the same areas, but adds power shots into Mandy’s chest. Mandy not appreciating the jugg attack goes after Alice’s breasts with counter punches of her own. Then Alice does a sneaky sidestep right, drawing Mandy off balance and then unloading a hard right/left into the side of Mandy’s head. Mandy lurches to the side as Alice follows up more shots to the side of the head. Mandy stabilizes behind her jab, but the bell ring and Alice Sabatini emerges the winner of a close round.

R6: Mandy goes swinging for Alice’s head as the 6th Round commences. Alice banged hard to the side of the head early, but pulls back quickly. Mandy lunges after her and now Alice connects with Mandy’s jaw HARD. Mandy staggered, stumbling forward, and Alice now swarms in with more shots to the jaw as she whips Mandy’s head around. Mandy now the one in retreat, gloves up around her head, and trying to get away from the rampaging Italian. Alice sticking close, She has figured out how to cut off the ring and use body punching to drive the beleaguered Mandy into the ropes. Double hooks to the belly put Mandy;s butt on the ropes, but Mandy’s high guard is weak. Alice seizes on the opening for a barrage of right and left uppercuts to the chin. DOWN GOES MANDY MOORE! Mandy’s legs shoot out from under her and she slides down the ropes to land on her butt. Alice watches in “Did I do that?” wonder as Mandy topples over on her right side. Alice then scampers off to the neutral corner and watches anxiously as referee counts. Mandy trying to push herself up, makes it back to a sitting position with her head lolling against the ropes, but that it is it…

“NINE!...TEN!...YOU’E OUT!” cries the referee.

THE WINNER: ALICE SABATINI DEFEATS MANDY MOORE KO6!

After: Alice beams happily and raises her arms in triumph. Then she goes to her corner where her IBB corner crew congratulate her. Then it is across the ring to scoop up Mandy Moore from her stool and take her on a Walk of Shame. Alice showing that beauty pageant boxing background as she displays her defeated foe while waving in pageant fashion to her cheering supporters.

“It was a big win for me. Once again I show I began beat veteran welterweights,” says Alice, “I know I have far to go in the Welterweight Division but this was another step upward.”

Bitter disappointment for Mandy Moore who lost her fourth in a row, but had to endure being Walked by her victory. Only comment Mandy chooses to make is “I got careless and she was smart enough to seize on it.”

Very encouraging victory for the Italian beauty and her IBB management. Alice needed to show she can win against a good class of fighter and she did. Fans now wondering what her next step and her next opponent will. Another setback for Mandy Moore and fans can only wonder if and when she can turn things around.
