BEFORE:
Miranda Kerr is having a good run at the tournament thus far, with her ex-finalist Karlie Kloss knocked out in the previous round and seemingly no one else in her way to claim the top prize, the Australian model looks set to take the Wings for the second time running.

Rosie, on the other hand, is gonna be darned before she lets that happen. The Fates fighter is a new entrant on this year’s list, and that makes her both unpredictable and dangerous.

Both ladies strut down the ramp in the next round of Victoria’s Secret garb: Miranda going for a baby blue bra and lower corset with butterfly wings, blowing a kiss to the audience before allowing the ring officials to begin stripping her down to her fight attire. She’s going to be in white gloves for this contest. Up next is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the British model spreading her wings (quite literally) of eagle features interspersed with sparkling diamonds. The tall blonde is wearing a black cotton bra and lacey panties for tonight’s contest, together with a pair of red gloves.

Without further ado, the referee kicks off the first match of the quarterfinals! This here’s the Victoria’s Secret War in Heaven II Tournament!

ROUND 1:
Rosie storms in fast, disrupting Miranda’s confidence with a well-timed left-right to the face from the get-go. Miranda stunned, losing her footing from there on out, with Huntington walking her down and sending more stiff shocks to her face and noggin’. Kerr tries to return fire but for each of her attacks to Rosie’s mouth, she takes a double dose back, Huntington-Whiteley growling as she sinks a hook into her ribcage before another straight hand is driven into her chin. Kerr is forced to regroup if she doesn’t want to get KO’ed in the first round, locking her arms and going for a strategic retreat early in the fight. She gets hounded to the ropes over and over by Rosie’s superior reach, Huntington-Whiteley ending the round with a stiff hand driven into the lips to take it wide.

ROUND 2:
Miranda’s got a taste now of what her blonde rival can do, playing defensive as she scoots away at the first sign of trouble, sending jabs back into Rosie’s face to regain her footing. Huntington-Whiteley is doing everything she can do stick it to the Aussie girl, run her down and into the canvas, flurry after flurry banging into the body and arms but they all lack venom due to the lack of precise distance. Miranda on the other is almost exclusively targeting Rosie’s face as she walks in, bunching up the cheek multiple times before scoring with a hook across that turns Rosie’s fortunes with a grunt. Close round overall but Kerr shows off why she’s the former Archangel and current BBU Lightweight champion.

ROUND 3:
Rosie doesn’t give two fucks what Miranda’s smoking, however, resumes the punishment at the sound of the bell with a hard cross to the middle of the arms followed by return swings at the Aussie girl’s head designed to take it off. Miranda’s overly cautious about getting into the thick of things, doesn’t want to get too close and find her chin meeting her foe’s glove. This leaves Rosie with plenty of space to exert control, punting her head back with a one-two delivered to the chin whilst another hard hook slams into Miranda’s raised guard. Things are not looking too good for the BBU Lightweight champion, with Kerr barely getting in any offense of her own before she takes a stunner to the side tummy once more, Rosie drawing a line in the sand and punishing her whenever she crosses over.

ROUND 4:
Rosie, however, ain’t made invincible. She tries roaring in again in the fourth only to take a return right hand to the mouth as Kerr begins to telegraph her movements. Miranda sees early success this way: absorbing blows to her guard before shooting those mitts out in the intermediary, scoring off the chin and chest as Rosie’s pretty face takes a beating. Middle minute and Huntington is faring no better, trying her luck with a step-in combo that ends with a hook to the forehead, but Miranda ducks under easily, buries a right hook into the body before another left swing catches Rosie on the chest. Huntington is forced to retreat for the first time in this fight, and what’s worse is Miranda ain’t following her backwards to eat her elongated jabs - the Aussie model is in full control this time, and she knows it!

ROUND 5:
Both ladies are playing it defensively, circling in a wide berth in the very first minute. Miranda keeps her dukes up, blocking and weaving well around Rosie’s fast one-two combos that thud into the forearms. By contrast, Rosie’s still trying to get in close once in a while, sudden rushes with pokes and prods at Kerr’s head but they’re lacking in effectiveness whenever Kerr moves back with a swan-like grace. Middle mark and Rosie takes a return straight to the cheek, which turns her head to the side as another side-winder CONNECTS with her forehead! OUCH! Huntington’s in trouble, getting staggered to the side and now having to fend off more attacks, as Kerr WADES in to try and finish her off! Rosie groans as her head’s being dinged left and right and back, wincing as another overhand comes crashing into her raised guard only to have Kerr dip low and bury an uppercut into her belly. Rosie’s back hits the ropes, the rest of her lanky body heaving for air, before Kerr strikes again with a stiff hook across the chin, and DOWN HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY GOES!! It’s a KNOCKDOWN in the second minute, and Rosie got spun to her side and then DOWN onto her knees, looking like she’s in shock! Not that conclusion from Miranda Kerr, however, who celebrates with a leap into the air and pound of her fist on her chest. She knows she’s got this, and just proved it in the fifth round! But Rosie’s already heaving herself back up, one foot at a time with the rest of her glistening body shuddering from exertion. We’re heading into the second half of this fight when Huntington recovers by the count of 8!

ROUND 6:
AND HERE COMES MIRANDA! Kerr is looking for the sweet knockout to secure her place in the semi-finals, firing punches at Rosie’s head as though she’s pissed off it’s even there in the first place. No dice, however, as Huntington makes a quick getaway, taking one or two jabs to the mouth before the rest of her face is hidden behind a closed guard. Huntington shows off expert form as she leads Kerr backwards, using that long-ranged right jab to score points off the brunette’s face instead. Kerr doesn’t seem bothered by the fact she’s losing this round, keeps hounding and taking swings at Rosie’s head to the extent she’s at least somewhat effective, grunting as a one-two combo slams into her nostrils but she manages to answer with a cuffing hook of her own across the chin. Close round overall but if we have to call it, it’s Rosie who shows off more poise and precision.

ROUND 7:
Kerr is visibly tiring now, breathing harder as she locks eyes with the British blonde and charges. She hasn’t gotten to where she is in life without some aggression, and succeeds in keeping Rosie on the back burner in the first two minutes with multiple flurries sent towards her head. Rosie, however, stays calm, her tummy eating some shots but protecting her head well with both arms. Slowly, she comes out of her hard shell, trouncing Kerr across the face with a well-timed right cross, followed by another left-right number that whips her head side to side with a grunt. Kerr may be getting on in terms of years but she’s surely being outperformed by this hungry challenger for her throne. She takes another ringing blow to the chin, which throws her off balance and into a daze. AND HERE COMES ROSIE, looking to finish! More rapid combos landing and landing all over her body and arms, till ANOTHER right hand catches her clean on the nose to THROW her head back, the rest of her shoulders and body sent off their feet and DOWN TO THE CANVAS with a grunt! Referee gives her a full 10-count to recover but Kerr barely makes it back up to her knees! It’s OVER!!

Official Decision: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley defeats Miranda Kerr via KO7!

AFTER:

“Knew I was better,” Rosie huffs to reporters in the post-fight interview. “Also knew she couldn’t keep up with me if she’d tried. Kerr may have been the face of Victoria’s Secret at one point of her career. But not anymore.”

Kerr, meanwhile, is all broken up and bruised as she slowly has to be helped back to her corner in the ring. A disappointing loss tonight but let’s not forget: it’s happened against one of the top Lightweight performers ever since Rosie joined Fates Boxing. Well, at least she still has her BBU Lightweight Title!
