2. Nina Agdal vs Toni Garrn

BEFORE:
Nina Agdal has done quite well thus far in the tournament, especially after beating arch-rival Lily Aldridge in the previous round. The Vixen might be taking on more than she can chew, however, rumours swirling that she’s also scheduled to make another appearance in the ring less than a week away on the next VIX Birthday Bash Anniversary card.

For now, Nina is all smiles, looking cocky at the press conference when she’s asked how far she thinks she’ll go in this year’s tourney.

“All the way, and I plan on stepping over Swanepoel’s body to get there,” comes the haughty reply. “Toni might be taller, but who the hell has she beaten over the years? I bring experience and hunger to the table, two things she’s in short supply.”

Toni, meanwhile, is one of the latest offerings from Black Eagle Boxing, a German stable renowned for their beautiful as well as dangerous blondes. It’s true that Garrn can rely on almost two inches of an advantage when the two girls meet later in the ring, and the lanky model is equally smirking as she listens to Nina’s comments, and responds:

“At least Palvin didn’t give me too much trouble. I heard she made you kiss her tummy, Nina? I’ve been fortunate to have one hell of a fight team preparing me every step of the way. I’m making it right to the very top!”

Hours later, Toni is first to enter the arena, wearing transparent butterfly wings that have been adorned with blue and lime-green pom poms, resembling a blooming flower. In the ring, she straps on a pair of black gloves in keeping with her stable’s namesake, long blonde hair braided into two out back. Nina’s entrance is flashy and sexy, the Vixen strutting onto the stage in a pink bra and panties set, white gloves, a simple sports jersey draped over both shoulders to highlight her toned tummy.

Referee gets the nod from both ladies, who’ve already put up their dukes in their respective corners. HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
Toni closes the gap much earlier due to her longer legs, begins punting shots into Nina’s arms with reckless abandon, of course to the detriment of the Vixen. Nina shouldn’t be surprised by she’s acting like she is when the first straight cross lands smack to the middle of her arms and she gets shoved backwards from the hard impact. This might be a calculated mismatch, with the usual Welterweight fighter toying with the shorter model for a good minute of fast left-right combos streaking inwards to tag her on the face, and Nina having trouble closing the distance to get within range to exact any punishment of her own. Agdal certainly tries her best, though, bobbing and weaving around some of Toni’s punches and close enough to bang some fists off the body, at one point almost scoring an upset when a rising hook almost lands on the chin. Instead, Toni is stopped in her tracks, wincing with a grunt at her opponent’s tenacity, and the round ends with it being only slightly in the taller woman’s favour.

ROUND 2:
More back-and-forth whipping action as both blondes stride in to punish each other simultaneously, Nina trying to surprise her counterpart with a fast leap-in and flurry to the arms and body before Toni desperately having to fend her off with powerful hooks thrown back. Toni may have the height advantage but she’s having trouble keeping the smaller, more agile Agdal off her case, and that reach is all for naught if your opponent is getting into your face and plowing shots into your tummy. Agdal snarls as she scores another hard thump to the belly but almost gets nailed on her chin in turn as Toni returns with a hard swoosh to her face. Second half of the round is decidedly less intense, with Nina keeping away and content to avoid Toni’s counterattack in the form of jab combos and sudden lunges. At the sound of the bell, both ladies are a close round apiece, with the action only due to ramp up further!

ROUND 3:
Garrn’s looking sure of herself after two rounds of seeing what Nina is capable of. Agdal’s early rush this time is blunted as Toni moves backwards and sends jabs towards her head, scoring plenty but also keeping her body out of harm’s range. Agdal suffers multiple facial readjustments this time, her cheek getting bunched up and head turned to the side whenever Garrn strikes lightning fast, a right hand shot in just as Nina also decides to charge, and the end result is Garrn scoring first and true, whereas Agdal’s attacks are missing into the void. Third minute and both ladies are already breathing hard, with Nina’s face turning pink and Toni sporting a smile that says she knows she’s got this down pat. Wide round for Garrn, who surges ahead in the lead.

ROUND 4:
Nina however holds her ground in the fourth, taking punches to her arms but generally preventing the rest of her body from getting tagged. Toni’s clearly used to getting her way, especially with shorter women, but when faced off against someone like Nina, who’s avoiding her attacks with better ease, her height and power appear to be less dangerous. Nina is still having trouble closing the distance but she does continue to slip to the side of Toni’s slow crosses and then cuff the taller woman off the chin or cheek. Garrn gets her head whipped to the side when a dipping hook rises last minute and smacks into her face, drawing an urghh and gasp. Nina gets cocky, however, keeping up the pressure with plenty more punches thrown into the mix. But Garrn wisely covers up and hides her head, before bashing the Danish girl back with a stiff strike to the middle of her nostrils, another snap uppercut almost throwing the Vixen off her feet there and then. Round ends with Nina still taking it close overall, though both girls got in good licks throughout.

ROUND 5:
Toni still wants to brawl but looks a little out of breath. There’s very little the tall blonde needs to fear, with Nina’s blows so far lacking venom and also with her ability to pick her opponent off from afar. But as Garrn scoots in, making a beeline towards Nina, her left-right combos slam equally harmlessly off Nina’s guard, thinking she’s pushing her back but in reality, just expending energy for herself. Nina stays calm, blocking most of the attacks before waiting for the opportune moment to BLAST Toni back to the face with a counter-cross, her right hand driven straight down the line and into the lips. Another and another land in quick succession, and suddenly, Toni Garrn is the one who’s sent packing! Nina flying forward into overdrive, fists flying all over now as she smells blood!! Garrn alternates between loud gasps and grunts as her tummy takes a prodding before her chin takes another hook from the side, and DOWN THE BIG BLONDE GOES!! Toni got spun downwards, looking in shock! Agdal with her arms pumping into the air as she roars back to her corner, watching intently as Garrn tries to get back to her feet, FALLS back down to all fours just as the count passes 10! It’s OVER!

Official Decision: Nina Agdal defeats Toni Garrn via KO5!

AFTER:
Agdal with the win and an unexpected one it is indeed! She hasn’t fared well in the past against taller, stronger foes, but now putting Garrn away in under twenty minutes. Garrn, on the other hand, is still breathing hard as she sits up by the ropes on her bum, staring crestfallen towards the celebrating Vixen in the other corner.

“I told you I’m going all the way. Rosie is just going to be the next victim on my list!” Nina laughs in a haughty manner, before kissing her glove and blowing it to the cameras.

Toni’s future, meanwhile, is thrown out into the rain. This was her debut entry into the tournament, and some would say it’s still an impressive showing indeed, making it past Doutzen Kroes and Barbara Palvin like they were chump change. The tall, imposing German holds her head up high as she walks out the arena to cheers and the sound of applause.
