6. Alexis Ren vs Eden Cohen (VIX Debut)

BEFORE:
It’s clear both girls can’t stand the sight of each other, least of all being forced into a mutual press conference. Ever since Cohen arrived on the scene and there was the remotest possibility of her joining the VIX roster, Alexis Ren has been there to make her disdain known.

Rumours have abounded of backstage confrontations, midnight scraps and other under-the-radar shenanigans, and the two women have yet to face each other officially in the ring. Until now.

“So it’s official. f*ck this sh*t,” Alexis spits from one end of the press table. “VIX doesn’t need another Lightweight taking up space. Just look at Georgia and Kelly - they just couldn’t keep up with someone like me on the roster. And while Nina’s off doing her own thing, I’m winning titles left, right and center. What the hell is Cohen going to bring to the table??”

Eden, of course, can’t help but beam from the other end of the room. Now officially part of the VIX roster, she now has the difficult challenge of winning her first match. Could she repeat the success of her fellow inductee, Nell Tiger Free, and prevail over a hardened veteran like Ren?

“I’m not worried. I’ve already kicked her ass more times than I can count. It’s a pity Ren conveniently left that out, and even more of a pity that we didn’t manage to capture some of that footage on camera. I could start an Instagram account purely off Ren’s face getting smothered between my thighs or breathing into my belly.”

“B*tch! YOU’RE TALKING OUT OF YOUR ARSEHOLE!?!” Ren roars from the other corner, immediately shooting out of her seat and making a beeline for Cohen.

But she’s stopped by the multiple security guards on heightened alert tonight, and Cohen continues:

“As I was saying, I want to thank Caspian and the rest of the VIX team for welcoming me into the stable. The first thing I plan to do is knock Ren out. Then, I’d like a belt around my waist.”

Cocky girls don’t get a chance of getting their hands on the other. Not now, at least, with Cohen and Ren still spouting insults at each other as they’re escorted to opposite sides of the room. We have a doozy on our hands indeed as one can only imagine what might happen once the bell rings hours later.

In the arena proper, Alexis is already bouncing up and down in one corner, pacing excitedly in a pair of red boots, a loose white blouse cut off at her chest and hot denim shorts for bottoms. She’s wearing red gloves for this contest. Eden’s making her debut in the most striking way possible, earlier pulling down her boy shorts and removing her tank top to reveal nothing but a lacy set of pink lingerie underneath. The Israeli model is wearing black boots and white gloves.

There’s the wave of the referee’s hand! There goes the bell and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
Eden gets right to it, hurtling in to harass Ren from the opening bell. For all her tough talk, Ren’s the one fighting defensively at the start, grunting as the taller Cohen ploughs combos straight into her arms, aiming for the head and taking no quarters. The pair would like nothing more than to shed their gloves and get right into some hair-pulling, fist-fumping-to-belly action, but this here’s a boxing match, with no kicks allowed, and definitely no wrasslin’. That doesn’t stop them from trying, of course, as Ren snarls back a lunging combo of her own whenever she can, occasionally tagging Eden on the cheek but then taking a mouthful of leather of her own, as Cohen sticks her gloves in without consideration. Ren’s head getting shoved back towards the end of the round, a sharp groan echoing from her lips, and she’s powerless in the last few seconds as Cohen darts in to pummel more punches into her tummy, almost driving her into the ropes to end this action-packed opening.

ROUND 2:
Ren shooting daggers at Cohen in the interim - doesn’t sit well with the Vixen that she almost went down to the rookie in the first round. She’s taken some good advice from her Head Trainer Steve Boyd in the corner, the poor man having to officiate between two of his best and brightest. Cohen’s still coming in hot, pouring in combos to the head and body, utilising her reach advantage to effect. But Ren’s a little wiser this time, staying back and using her agility to avoid, and then counter-attack. This way, she sends way more damage into Cohen’s frame, a left hand catching the Israeli girl on the cheek here, another right cross slammed into her chest to earn the blonde some payback. Cohen not going down without a fight, however, quickly rallies and adapts as well, staying back in the third minute and trading jabs with her blonde rival from a bigger distance. The two women still can’t stand the sight of each other, fittingly planting gloves straight into the nose or lips to obscure each other’s vision.

ROUND 3:
Alexis’ experience is shown off in the third - she might have fallen to Cohen in some backstage catfight (allegedly so), but she’s on home turf in the boxing ring, easily avoiding an overzealous challenge from the newcomer, dodging and weaving around her attacks, before planting leathered fists straight into the model’s pretty face, earning several grunts as Cohen’s head gets snapped back from those crisp shots. Slow and steady might win her this war instead, as Alexis lets out another shout of triumph after tagging Eden off the forehead before shoving a right cross straight into her lips. Eden needs to focus more on her defences - if she doesn’t, she’s going to be in for a very early night indeed. The taller brunette decides to regroup in the final seconds, both her hands up and trying to protect her face for the first time ever.

ROUND 4:
Wild action erupts when both women come charging in all of a sudden, Ren suddenly deciding that enough waiting was enough as she shocks Eden with an early cross to the arms, a couple more thudding fists landing off her tummy. Cohen grunts at first but immediately fires back with a flurry of fists of her own, banging leather off the rapidly formed guard but then a right hook catching Ren off the chin, which rocks her to the side. Ren ain’t looking too smart all over again, goes scrambling out of the way as Cohen dashes in after her, lefts and rights chasing her across the ring and back. Ren is forced to cover her head this time, wincing as she tastes Eden’s power first hand. All those gym sessions and tune-up fights served the Instagram model well as she hounds Ren all the way to the bell, not letting up one bit. Ren gets forced into the ropes multiple times due to the sheer amount of firepower being poured into her guard and body, groaning as Cohen spends the final seconds packing fists between the arms, seeking any inch of tummy possible.

ROUND 5:
Ren’s in trouble, perhaps those earlier encounters with Cohen shocking the core of her confidence. She’s wavering with her arms all over the place, not entirely certain how to counter the taller, hungrier Cohen. Eden senses weakness, smirking wide as she rips in with more combos, lefts and rights banged into the arms before the Israeli model hunts both the head and body with alternate attacks. Ren’s fighting back like a crazed wolverine, of course, snarling as she lunges at Cohen’s head in the interim, banging some punches off that toned tummy but each time taking a return straight hand that crunches into her lips or swivels her head to the side. Minute two and Cohen’s hook finds its mark once more, blasting Ren off towards the ropes, where the blonde Vixen lets out a gasp as she hangs onto the top rope for dear life. AND HERE EDEN COMES, bolting in with a charge before BURYING those uppercuts up into the midsection, at one point folding Ren over in half with a right glove packed into the tummy! AND DOWN REN GOES, holding her middle with a groan as she collapses down onto her side! COULD THIS BE IT?!?

A fifth round KNOCKDOWN attempt from Cohen, who makes her debut in style! The tall model parades her way back to the neutral corner, pursing those lips in a smile and raising both hands high into the air like she owns the place. Ren, meanwhile, is slowly recovering, pushing her shuddering body up to all fours before using the nearby ropes to pull herself up to both feet by the count of 8. We’re past the halfway mark of this fight, but the night is still young indeed!

ROUND 6:
Ren’s been knocked down before, but not to this extent. The established Vixen is seething and fuming in her corner in between the rounds, chastising everyone under the sun for putting her in this position. Meanwhile, Corey Saucier is beaming at Eden’s performance at the other end of the ring, the Israeli model flexing and squaring her shoulders before bouncing up from her wooden stool in anticipation for another round of beatdown. Not on her, of course. Bell rings and ladies get right back into the thick of it: Ren shaking off the pain and initiating with a sudden flurry of punches to Eden’s head, forcing her to cover up. Cohen however immediately starts taking return shots at the arms and chest, making Ren know for sure she’s going down, one way or another. Cohen, however, is having trouble actually finding her targets, a left hand absorbed by the guard and one of her hooks slammed into Ren’s tummy, but Ren manages to get clean away and fire crunching shots back into her face, negating all that previous firepower and points. Ren stays cool and deliberate - it’s how she won her first Lightweight title to begin with - picking Eden off from a distance and showing her how it’s really done. Bell rings and Cohen had an opportunity there to finish her foe off. Instead, Alexis stays in control for the majority of the round, bouncing back from oblivion and earning herself a close return.

ROUND 7:
We’re heading into the final quarter of this fight but both women are still TEARING into each other like it’s the very first round. They start off cautiously from opposite sides but then quickly make forays forward, fists flying in a mutual shower of left swings and right lunges at the head and body, each trying to land as many hits as possible in the limited window of getting in range. Eden’s bursts of energy at first threaten to overwhelm Alexis as the brunette pummels her arms and body with short, strappy swings, fully confident in her ability to put the blonde down for the second time running. But Ren’s defending herself well, locking her arms overhead whilst getting the air driven from her lungs by a low hook stuffed into the side of her tummy. But the snarling blonde lunges back with her own ammunition, a left hand catching Eden across the chin to stun her momentarily, before Ren BARRELS inwards for some body-on-body action of her own, shoving her shoulders into Eden’s chest as she whaps and wails away at her undercarriage. Cohen is trying to move backwards in shock, finding it hard to shake off the hungry blonde, gets her chin snapped upwards as Ren alternates with an uppercut or two driven in between the arms. AND THAT’S IT!! EDEN LOOKS GROGGY, stumbling back into the ropes, her head swimming wild as Ren shoves another fist up into the base of her jawline, and DOWN SHE GOES, eating more fists to the lips and tummy on the way to the canvas!!

It’s a return KNOCKDOWN, this time for Alexis Ren, who spits and hisses down at Cohen from her perch by the ropes, whilst the referee herds her off to the neutral corner and starts the count. Cohen with a renewed snarl on her face, not liking the feeling of her skin kissed to canvas. She pushes herself up one limb at a time, one eye always on her blonde rival as she extends herself back up by the count of 8.

Cohen’s beaten the count, but how much more can she take now that both the girls are a knockdown a piece? Alexis herself is goading her on from the other end of the ring, shouting at her to get back up and take it like a woman. Cohen’s smile is long gone, holding onto the top rope even as the referee signals for the bell to go once more. There’s still a minute and a half left on the clock and it’s clear that Alexis wants to tear inwards at the first opportunity. But can Eden weather the storm??

Sound of the bell and HERE COMES REN with vengeance written all over her face! Cohen barely has time to brace before the blonde firebrand TEARS into her on the ropes, shoving fists into her body and up into her arms, rocking her left and right. Eden’s trying to hold on to her marbles, her arms up and summoning her remaining strength and a bit of brawling action to hold her head above the water. But Alexis ain’t making it easy for her, snarling into her face, hair flying in both directions even as she jams her fists up into her tummy and chest, trying to force her down for the final time in the same way she suffered in the fifth. Cohen’s groaning into the shoulder, face scrunched up, arms wrapped around the neck and back of the head, her legs about to give way right as the referee STEPS IN to save her!

Alexis is pried off Cohen but it’s a hard sell to separate one vicious hellcat off the other. Cohen looks shocked at the sound of the rapid bell for a moment, even more confused at the sight of the referee’s face in front of her instead of Ren’s. She’s shaking her head, half-dropping down to her knees, clearly wanting to fight on. But the referee’s already trying to wrap things up, leading her back to her corner. And Ren is throwing her arms in the air, beating her chest and parading around turnbuckle! It’s OVER!!

Official Decision: Alexis Ren defeats Eden Cohen via TKO7!

AFTER:
Ren tearing past the ring officials, wanting blood in the aftermath of people scrambling into the ring and out. Cohen, still dazed from the pummeling, doesn’t like it either when Ren’s fingernails tear into her hair from above, manhandling her along the ropes and spitting more insults into her face. It’s only when Cohen takes a slap across her face does she come back to life, shoving a fist into the side of her face to reignite their brawl.

Girls go snarling down in each other’s arms, rolling over, kicking and shrieking, shoving fists and knees into the body. Ren at one point manages to get on top, driving a bare fist into Cohen’s nose long enough to stun her on the ground and straddle her from above. Ren holds her down with one fist in the top of her hair, the other slapping her left and right, all the while shoving her crotch as far up her chin as she can.

“HERE’S YOUR WELCOME PARTY, b*tch!” Ren shouts down into her face.

The VIX officials are clearly ambivalent to this post-fight shenanigans, only breaking up the post-fight melee after several attempts to break through and pull the girls apart. Something tells us this rivalry is just getting started, especially with the two women working together in close proximity!
