BEFORE:
“I’ve got a score to settle with Charlotte. She may have gotten the better of me back in …, but I’m not f*cking around this time,” Hannah says with a nod to reporters earlier. “And to everyone bitchin’ about my Welterweight title not being on the line tonight, the fact of the matter is: there are better candidates for my title. Flair ain’t one of ‘em.”

Charlotte, of course, not liking the sound of her fellow blonde’s words. She picks up the microphone and responds in kind:

“The first time I knocked Hannah out, she was acting all high and mighty. You guys remember, don’t you? The second time I’ll knock her out, tonight, she’s all scared and nervous, as she should be. It doesn’t matter if your little title is on the line tonight or not, Hannah. I’m gonna knock your lights out all the same.”

Big blondes face each other down with narrowed brows and raised fists, Charlotte’s muscled bulk proving a little too much for Hannah on their last encounter. What’s different tonight, you might ask? Well, pride for one. Hannah getting upset as a competitor is very different from Hannah getting KO’ed as the champion. Yet, that smirk on Charlotte’s face tells us everything we need to know: the WWE wrestler and multi-time champion wants to repeat her statement of dominance.

We’re nearing the end of our event tonight, but the fans are still welcoming both women with loud cheers and hearty applause when their names are announced in the ring. Charlotte’s gone for a flashy red sports bra and short tights that have been laced with silver sparkles. She’s in black gloves for tonight’s contest. Hannah has fallen back on her Sports Illustrated roots, sporting a dark blue bikini top and a pair of white boxing trunks. She’s in white gloves tonight.

Referee gets the mutual nod from the competitors, and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Welterweight action!

ROUND 1:
Charlotte moves in with confidence in the first minute, knowing full well how easy it is to knock Hannah down for the count. Hannah plays it safe, of course, arms locked and moving constantly. The two women trade barbs from a safe distance but Flair’s clearly throwing more powerful hooks and crosses at the end of the combinations, managing to slam leather over and over into the model’s body and arms. Hannah wincing, letting out sudden, surprised gasps as she wonders whether this rematch was the best idea for her fledgling career, but she manages to stay at a good distance for the rest of the round, the occasional jab sent into Flair’s face to stop her advance from rolling all over her.

ROUND 2:
Flair ain’t giving up the chase, however, knocking out the Welterweight champ in nine rounds the last time and perhaps wants to make a statement now with fewer. The WWE starlet hounds and chases Hannah down with hooks and sudden power swings, keeping up the pressure and trying to trap her on the ropes. But Hannah’s learned a lot since their last encounter, ducking and weaving, predicting the incoming swings quite easily. But she hasn’t learned quite enough, at one point letting out a grunt as an overhand right stuns her to the side of the head, almost throwing her into the ropes clean. Flair of course bounding in, arms swinging like a mariachi band, trying to KO Hannah and prove she should be the one holding the title belt, not this stick figure of a model. But Hannah proves her salt once again, ducking under a wide hook before planting fists all over Flair’s abs, even shocking the wrestler with a ding across the chin in the closing seconds. Flair’s still in control, but she’s not dominating like she wants to be.

ROUND 3:
And here comes Hannah, looking to shake things up. She surprises Flair with an early rush and flurry to the arms and body, pushing her back somewhat as Charlotte is forced to cover up her head. Flair of course recovers quite quickly, immediately swings and lunges back at Hannah’s head, but those punches are either taken on the arms or miss entirely. Ferguson in her best form, the champion, swerving and breaking to the side before planting firm leather into Charlotte’s face and side of the head, rocking her with a couple of nasty numbers before Flair growls and shows signs of aggression again. The Vixen barely has time to scoot backwards before a straight cross slams into the middle of her arms, almost catching her on the chin and no doubt shoving her back from whence she came. Hannah, shocked but not stunned, keeps herself moving fast for the rest of the round, whilst Flair tries to lock her down once more, to no avail. Hannah finally wins a round for herself, though it’s by a tiny margin.

ROUND 4:
Flair’s just relentless - all that stamina and strength training in the WWE Performance Centre means she’s got the energy and willpower to go the distance. She walks Hannah down in the first two minutes, not giving the Vixen any chance to surprise her like last time. Punches thrown towards Hannah’s head or plowed into her guard to keep her constantly on the move, and those moments where Ferguson stands her ground to throw down with the other blonde are disastrous examples of what NOT to do against a powerhouse like Flair: fists flying in both directions and snapping heads to the side but then Flair sends a final hook to the cheek to SHOCK and AWE the champion, send her stumbling off to lick her wounds. Ferguson just can’t compete in the power department - at least not for now - she stays back and jabs at the oncoming Flair to deny her a shutout performance. Charlotte may be packing loads of power but she still lacks the agility to evade Hannah’s lightning hands in time. So far, so good for the multiple Women’s champion, Flair dominating in terms of points as we hit the halfway mark of this fight.

ROUND 5:
How the tables have turned! Flair clearly is tiring, but Hannah is just getting fired up! The pace of the action is so different compared to the first half of this fight, with Flair still taking big swings at Hannah’s head but is less able to catch the champion at her own game, with Hannah moving even faster and blasting jab combos back that land in swift motions. Charlotte left grunting as her head gets snapped backwards multiple times, with jabs and crosses crunching in hard to the nose and lips. Big swings in return, as mentioned, don’t connect, with the bulky blonde just a little too lumberous to pin Hannah down for long. Ferguson’s patience has paid off, as she lands more points than her counterpart right until the last minute, as Charlotte is left breathing hard and wondering how she can turn things around. She’s still in the top of her band, of course, leading the fight in points overall, but Hannah looks determined to catch up at some point!

ROUND 6:
The downhill slide for Flair continues, with that earlier exertion coming back to bite her in the ass. She’s staying put in one corner of the ring for the most part, taking pot-shots at Hannah but barely hitting anything but her arms or the air. Hannah, on the other hand, is clearly riding the growing momentum, scooting left and right and then plowing her own fists into every inch of Flair’s body, chest and mouth, shoving her a little more and more with each flurry landing. Flair’s getting slowly pushed backwards, whittled down, her arms wavering now as Hannah lands another one-two combo straight to the nostrils and then the midsection. Flair hits the ropes and suddenly, there’s nowhere left for her to go! Hannah POURS in the abuse, ramping up the attacks from a zero to a hundred as she catches Flair over and over again to the center of her face, before a right hook NAILS her across the chin, sending her SPRAWLING downwards!! It’s the first KNOCKDOWN of the evening, and it belongs to the champion!

Flair collapsed down to her chest, face buried in the canvas as she tries her best to get back up… Hannah is already circling back to the neutral corner, a confident smile on the corner of her lips, as the referee slowly counts out her opponent. Flair makes some attempt to push off her chest, but she only makes it back to all fours before the referee hits the count of 10! This fight is OVER!

Official Decision: Hannah Ferguson defeats Charlotte Flair via KO6!

AFTER:

“Knew her first win was a fluke. I would have cleaned her clock if the referee hadn’t stopped the match back then,” Hannah later says with a nod to the reporters by ring-side.

A strong win for the Welterweight champion, who conquers an old foe tonight and now has her sights set on her next title defense.

“Big Red doesn’t know when to quit, does she? She’s like a cancer that just keeps coming back. Well, at the end of the month, I’m taking her out. Once and for all,” Hannah says, to the cheers of the crowd.

Flair, meanwhile, earns a polite and thunderous applause from the packed stadium - the two women are now tied in terms of wins, and that can only mean a rubber match sometime in the future. For now, she holds her head up high as she stumbles out of the room with her fight team in tow. Knocking out Ferguson will get you some notice indeed. Unfortunately for Flair, doing it a second time in a row proved to be a bridge too far for now.
