Lily Collins vs Ashley Benson

BEFORE:
Put this next PPV fight on your radar, both ladies bursting out of the curtains looking resplendent in their fighting attire: Lily Collins with her brown hair braided singular out back, working the crowd with a pair of raised fists adorned with white gloves. The rest of her body is toned and raring to go, despite some rumours about some late-night afterparty tussle that went down just last week.

“I can neither confirm nor deny what happened to dear Nessa,” Lily smirks to reporters by ringside. “Just so you know, she wasn’t happy about what went down. And neither will Benson, for that matter, once I’m through with her.”

Ashley Benson of course one of the more well-endowed members of the Pretty Little Punches, rocking a white wife-beater and denim shorts even as she strides out in a pair of classic red gloves. Later, in the ring, she tears off her singlet to plenty of wolf whistles and catcalls from the crowd.

Earlier tonight, she too spoke to members of the press: “I’m convinced that the only person Lily can beat is Emma Watson, at this point. I’m younger and tougher, and I’ll make short work of her once we’re in there.”

Ladies square off in the ring, and true to Ashley’s words, both of them are of the same height, though Benson’s definitely packing more power with her bulk. Chance to touch gloves and both of them take it, roughly shoving their fists into one another’s before returning to their corners for the opening bell.

Referee waves his arm to kick things off! HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Lily fully in resplendent form, confident movements inward as she initiates with punches left and right. Benson may only be an inch shorter but somehow she’s having trouble fending off the multiple attacks sent towards her head, raising her arms high to block the more straightforward punches, but then grunting as Collins goes to work on her chest and stomach instead. In turn, Ashley’s taking the occasional swing back at Lily’s head, hoping to land big, and land it early. Trouble is Lily’s too much faster than that, swerving to the side or back to avoid those big hooks, before planting more leather into the blonde’s chin and cheek. Round ends and it’s exactly as you’d expect: Lily taking it wide, and leaving little doubt in our minds of her superiority.

ROUND 2:
Benson needs to land that big right hand if she wants to stay in the game. The blonde’s bigger bulk makes her a bigger target for Collins’ punches, but also means she’s forcing the Vixen to take evasive manoeuvres each time she pulls her arm back with the intention of letting it swish forward. Lily is doing her best, staying on her toes, but even she can’t quite get away from ALL of Benson’s punches. Middle of the round and Ashley feints with a left only to BASH a right cross straight into the arms, which throws Lily backwards in shock! AND HERE COMES BENSON with the early mop-up, thinking that she’s staggered Collins! Lily is being chased down on the ropes, and it’s her turn to groan as Benson continues to hound and harass her with plenty of artillery fire, wide overhands coming crashing into the arms and scoring off the top of Lily’s head. Bell rings and we’d say Benson has redeemed her honour, proudly beating her chest as she heads back to her own corner.

ROUND 3:
Lily’s running scared, for sure, this time staying far away and shooting fewer jabs in between. Benson, on the other hand, has smelled blood, and constantly rushes in to try and finish Lily off! Collins is in repeated trouble throughout the third, getting hammered on the arms and then her head biffed to one side as she struggles to deal with Ashley’s superior firepower. Once or twice, it looks like Collins is about to go down, only for the British actress to suddenly swerve and avoid a late hook aimed for the head. Whether luck or skill, we don’t know. What matters is Collins gets away with her life, jabbing back at Ashley’s face and chest but barely making a dent throughout this round. What started as a promising venture has now descended into pure chaos for the former champ!

ROUND 4:
Ashley tries yet another rush, and these two of early thirty-year-olds can certainly afford the energy and stamina! It’s clear, however, that Benson can’t keep up her speed for long, slamming a left hand to the body before a right hook bashes into the raised arm to send Collins reeling slightly. But Lily’s better anticipating the blonde’s mad rushes, all of a sudden shoots in a left-right combo that SNAGS her on the chin and lips, snapping her head back in a daze! Benson tries to recover her composure, but another hook towards Lily’s head misses entirely, before Collins counters with a hook of her own driven into the side of her chin! BENSON’S IN TROUBLE, getting thrown into the ropes and looking for her own balance to save her. Lily’s crowding in, bashing away at that toned body before ROCKING the blonde’s head into the air with a well-placed uppercut to the base of her jaw!! AND DOWN BENSON GOES!! An early KNOCKDOWN from Lily Collins, who waltzes back to the neutral corner with two arms pumped in the air! Referee starts the count but poor Benson is barely rolling over onto her back, head still shaking left and right until the end of the 10-count! It’s OVER!!

Official Decision: Lily Collins defeats Ashley Benson via KO4!

AFTER:
“What a rush!” Lily smiles at reporters in the immediate aftermath of the fight. “Knew I would take her down - didn’t expect it to be so soon, though. I’ll tell ya one thing. I want my next fight to be BIG. Give me Emma, give me Nell, give me Vanessa freakin’ Hudgens - I don’t care! I’m ending 2021 with a bang!”

Benson, meanwhile, is being tended to by her PLP team, the short-haired blonde still mumbling nonsense and waving at the medics that she wants to continue this fight when she’s clearly been on her back for far longer than she has standing.

Who knows, maybe she’ll find better luck in the JMD or Flyweight circuits?
